Seems like I'm having the same issue I had with every Souls game. I can join other people's game just fine, but I can never get anyone to join me even when I ring the bell right in front of the boss room.

Is there a way to make the Daughter of the Cosmos fight not feel so... bad? I'm getting close to beating it, but it's a really miserable slog. I feel like I'm missing something, because it seems like the entire fight is just dancing around fuck-off enormous range attacks trying to bait out the one punishable thing the boss does, and just hoping it doesn't spam the orbital fuck-off rays.

Central Yarnham question:
In Central Yarnham, before the huge bonfire where the enemies are gathered, there's a heavy with an axe. Near him there's a gate with a lever you can pull. Past that there's another shortcut. What opens that shortcut?

Pray the AI decides to use one move over and over. Other than that the easiest thing to do is walk back and forth baiting the headslam then use a charge R2 attack. When it stops doing that, get aggressive and circle strafe really close to the body and hit towards the back to reduce your chances of getting hit. Don't lock on since it'll be easier to dodge the charge and magic blast by just running to the side.

No idea. Those squid guys who suck out your insight are weak to fire so maybe that thing is too. Then again
Rom
is weak to bolt.

Thanks Bloodbros.

YESSSSSSSS!!!!! :DDD

I decided I'd give the first boss another go since I couldn't sleep. I hadn't attempted it since a day or two ago, I've just been exploring and getting more competent at the combat.

It felt almost EASY! Felt so satisfying to take down this huge beast with near ease after my first lot of attempts making it seem impossible. I'm improving. And finally, another lamp lmfao!

Just to add to this on the new page, I was listening to Pitbull at the time through the new Spotify app. So thank you Pitbull for channeling your epicness through.

There's an elevator glitch in this game? Where, and how does one avoid it?

Spoilers kept to a minimum with source.

There's an elevator that leads down to Ebrietas and it's the only way to her. The game can just decide to place the elevator back the way it was. The lever says "does not function" when you try to raise it, too. I managed to jump down and hit the switch that sends it back up. The drop obviously killed me (very big drop), but the elevator started to raise back up. When I went back it was still down there! You cannot avoid it. Either it will happen or it won't.

Could use a hand fighting E
brietas
. Almost killed it the first time but have had major issues ever since. I'm ringing my bell if someone would like to help! Level 71

Holy shit! Just got through the woods area
I thought that place was never going to end, and to combine it with my need to try and grab nearly every item I see, this took a damn long time. Finished the boss of the area. That was so damn intense. I audibly yelled out loud when the last Shadow Yharnam guy started summoning giant ass snakes around the area!

Another area down. Going to go back and try out another chalice dungeon. Other than the agonizing loading times, I'm really enjoying this and completely absorbed like I do with every souls game.

WHEW, just one-shot A
mygdala
. Used up all my vials, and was worried when I was doing piss-poor damage. Then I figured it out, and I still just barely made it through.

Meanwhile the enemy right before it handed my ass to me 3 times in a row.
This game, man.

are you talking about the gate near the clinic?
if so go to
the forbidden woods
lamp, and go on till you reach
the village
on the left side you will find some
dog and cage
, on the left beyond them there
is a cave, go inside and cross the poison lake, you will find a ladder

Yeah guys? Bone ash is the way to go. I used half of it, but for
paarl chalice version of hell
I used a full set and damn is that fire+arcane resist lovely.

Suck it R
om - Third try, one I figured out to hit him on the side it was pretty easy. Run in quick hit and roll the hell out of there!

It seems that a lot of people didn't like that fight but I didn't mind it. Put my lvl 22 Endurance to work!

oh, and please, PLEASE, release a dlc for this. i need it in my life
PLEASE

a little question, there is a locked door near the cathedral ( that one close to a chest and simply say "closed" ), i'm pretty sure that i've explored and discovered every path of yhanarm, but never managed to open that door. did i miss something?
future dlc entrance maybe? :P

I'm so glad that I went media blackout on this game... I had solid expectations and hopes that it would be at least as good as DeS and DaS but man the further I get the more I like the damn game. Need to beat it yet but it's definitely shooting up my fav of all time list.

i'd look it up on the wiki on your spoiler question. i heard before about a way to unlock it.

Kirkhammer or Ludwig's Holy Blade? What say you, GAF?

#TeamLudwig !!!

I have no idea where I'm going in
Forbidden Forest
.
I know, isn't it awesome?

How do you get back to Hypo G, though? I've killed Paarl but I want to go back(Kate!)
Not sure as I'm at the same point but I was told it opens back up or there's a way to get back. I think I finished the first step earlier tonight.

In Lost Woods, how do I get that item near a broken tree bridge? It's right above where you get part of the Graveguard set. I assume that's the rest of the armor set. Can't figure out how to get there for the life of me.

Well,
the Santas finally got me
and holy cow that area is creepy as heck. Made it through the whole thing and got to
Paal
. What an asshole. I just read there is some armor that helps against his
bolt attack
so i will try that tom. Coop is still hit or miss, too. Right after work I got it to work in like, literally 20 seconds. Had a friend come in and we both did the
witches in our games
. Then, later we tried outside
Paal
and it just rang and rang. For the times it id work we had complicated passwords and were literally at the exact same spot but then later it didn;t work at all. Sucks.

Game is still a beast, though. Love From!

I wish elemental gems always gave you the visuals of Fire/Bolt Paper (or the Shell for Arcane). I love looking like Ghost Rider with the Threaded Cane.

Woo, man, the hunters in NF. Managed to take the two of them down, but it was a tense fight. The stunlocking power of the Blade of Mercy is amazing.

Oh wow. I wasnt gonna play today because I dont have much time and didnt want to get caught up but decided tk anyways and beat vicar on the first try. Holy crap that felt good.

Onwards and upwards.
