Mine is at 48. You should probably level that up a bit to withstand some more hits. 40 isn't terrible though. Come back, someone else is on their way. Maybe the 3 of us can do it.

Just changed outfits to increase fire resistances. Meh sorry :/ 2-3 hits finished me off..meh guess it doesnt help since I have lower HP lvl and the reduction due to coop.

Just started to play this yesterday and finally beat Ludwig after 2-3 hours of trying. Probably the most difficult boss of the whole game for me so far.

I just got him!!!!!!!!!!! I was able to get one person and he died
on phase 2
I was able to finish him off at around 40%. HOLY SHIT WAS THAT INTENSE. I nearly died so many times, I was able to dodge like crazy and heal to stay alive.
But yeah it was NG+2
