Bomba Driveclub? 34.99 Amazon

Good price, but I'll wait for the PS+ version.

I'm not into racing games without a racing wheel, and I don't believe my GT wheel works on the PS4.

If it's working fine why isn't it on PS+ yet? To me, it's either not working correctly and is not on PS+ or it is and is up on PS+.

Is that the nice way of saying it has a metacritic score of 71?

halo: mcc has been just as unplayable for many people in both campaign and mp and its at 86. what's your point?

My PS4 is in the mail and i'm now super tempted to pick this up. What happened to that free ps+ edition that got delayed? Has it been released yet?

Yes buy it definitely at that price that's a steal! Yes the game had major issues on release and still has some (I'm assuming as I haven't tried online in quite a while but I heard it's fixed?) but it's an awesome racer! I own this game, Horizon 2, and Forza 5 and it's definitely better than Forza 5 but I enjoy Horizon 2 more only due to the open world gameplay but Drive Club definitely handles and looks the best out of the 3!

I was waiting for the ps+ version but for this price why the fuck not. Can I use my old driving force gt on the ps4 with this game?

Sadly no. Logitech wheels are not supported on PS4. I have G27, and because of this situation I did not purchase DriveClub at launch.

I will wait a bit more before buying it.

Once again consoles are bought on promises and potential. This is par for the course, and obviously they won't always meet those promises. But this goes beyond any reasonable level of missing the mark.

It's fine. You can keep loving them and I'll enjoy watching them fold.
I will keep loving them because Motorstorm PR was amazing.

Your post is part of dramatic hyperbole.
You shouldn't have bought something far ahead of time if that was such a big deal to you.

The ps+ edition it still delayed, no ETA as of now. Everything is starting to click for Driveclub; photomode, weather, free dlc, working online. PS+ version should be getting closer, but we have no idea.

i have G25 that i used for GT... loved it.

Never before i enjoyed real racing game on the controller... for instance, there is no way I would ever play GT on controller, it is so booring for me and I simply cant drive well with it, it is just horrible.

Now with DC, I dont know is it because of DC or DS4, or both, but it is super playable with controller and lots of fun. I am definitely not missing anything.

People keep saying this: I'll wait for the PS+ version but it's not the full game. You'll get a very limited amount of tracks and cars to play with. It's just a teaser for the real game.

I agree with this. I can assure you anyone who tries the PS+ version will not be satisfied with what's there. You get arguably the least appealing location and a limited selection of cars.

That said - it's certainly a good way to check out how the game feels/plays.

Wouldn't say that is a bomba tbh. I just picked up sunset overdrive for $40 with a $25 dell gift card and 15% cash back with my discover card.

Good deal though. Still waiting on my PS+ version before I bite the bullet.

Here is the deal if anyone was looking:

Teaser for the real game is more than enough for people who are on the fence and didn't buy it at launch.

By the time the PS+ version finally is made available, I'm sure the retail copy will be available for just as cheap if not more heavily discounted.

No reason to buy the game now if you've already waited this long.

My issue is more about playing a racer with a controller and not a racing wheel.

It's just not my thing outside of something like Burnout. If a racing game has a cockpit view, I want to be in it. And I want to be in it with a racing wheel or I don't want to bother. GT3 spoiled controller racing games for me many years ago.

Yep, it's a great way to try the game, earn some trophies, and see if you like it. The Plus version may be enough for a lot of us, or may convince us it's not our thing and we shouldn't buy the full version. Clearly that's what Sony is worried about which is why they delayed only the free version and not the retail version despite neither version apparently being ready for consumers.

Sure, but it's enough to let people know whether or not they'll enjoy the gameplay. "How does this game feel?" is especially important when it comes to racing games. The plus version is a perfect way of feeling it out.

Just bought the last one off of the self at Fry's.

Today is a good day to drive...

...after work /cry

Bought. I was going to just limp along with the PS+ version (whenever it's actually out) but $35 was hard to pass up on a game I was more likely than not going to buy at some point anyway and the MSRP won't be $40 for at least a year. I should probably stop looking to buy PS4 games before I have the thing, though.

It also reminded me to buy the standard Seagate 1TB SSHD while on Amazon so I can put it in my collector's PS4 when it arrives... eventually. It shall be treated well.

my favorite game so this year other than the GTA V remaster

amazing cars and tracks, and the online has been really fun for the last few weeks.

After the epic fuck up of a launch, this game really should have been one of the corporate sponsored $25 BF Deals like Mordor and Evil Within--maybe even $19.99 actually.

It remains absolute crap that the version of this that I paid for via my Plus sub is unavailable.

I don't care what improvements they've made, this company deserves to fold after this debacle.

When I read posts like that, I picture a dad telling his kid they'd go for ice cream when he comes back from work, but then shit happens and the dad comes home late, and the kid is throwing a fit and saying he better get an iPad for christmas or else he'll leave the house and never come back.

No way I'm buying this game before playing the PS+ version. Just wouldn't sit right giving them money when they're all like, "Our game is kind of broken so we cant let you play what is essentially a glorified demo yet, even though we advertised it as a perk of our paid PS+ program. But hey, we'd be happy to sell it to you?"

One could make the argument that because Sony planned to give us the Driveclub PS Plus Edition IN ADDITION to the regularly scheduled games added to PS Plus, the plus version of DC actually IS free.

Edit: Source. In the month that DC+ was supposed to hit, Sony provided two other PS4 games for download, and they made that decision before DC+ got delayed. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/10/01/preview-octobers-free-game-lineup/

Driveclub was replaced by Contrast.

Just ordered from Amazon. Are there any GAF clubs to join, or anyone willing to start a new club? I should have my copy on Thursday...

They are continuing to sell it because the amount of users actively buying the game at stores or online is a small enough number that it isn't having any noticeable impact on the servers.

The PS+ version, when it hits, could be adding millions of additional users all in a span of a single day, an immense strain on the servers. They will not risk bringing everything crashing down again until the network is ready to handle it.

I don't know why this shit is so hard for people to comprehend.

Because we were promised something as part of our paid subscription, which is why they are shit.

So you would rather crash the server for everyone and come back here to say "We were never promised a broken server, they are shit, they should just fold"? I thought people disliked broken game at release and would rather have delay.

I bought TLOU digitally to play at midnight launch and caved and bought the physical copy for collection purposes a month or two later.

Some of us make bad decisions :P

The problem with buying things for collection purposes these days is that so many games are practically broken or have major issues out of the box and only really work properly with the day one patch (or, increasingly frequently, a series of patches well after launch), which renders owning the disk almost as pointless as buying the download version for long-term archival purposes.

I guess you could always put the patch data on a USB stick or something, though.

Driveclub was replaced by Contrast.

....ok? Let's think through this.

Driveclub PS+ Edition is originally offered as a game available to PS+ subscription members in November of 2013. Driveclub gets delayed. Sony gives those with PS+ subscriptions Contrast as a substitute for the download during November of 2013.

Fast forward eleven months. Sony offers Driveclub PS+ Edition as a bonus (literally, they used the word bonus in the blog post I quoted), in addition to two other games (Spelunky and Dust: The Elysian Trail) for the month of October 2014.

History happens, and we don't get Driveclub PS+ edition in October. We will get it eventually, however.

So instead of getting Driveclub PS+ edition, Spelunky, and Dust, you're getting those three plus Contrast, albeit at a different time than originally planned.

You're getting four games instead of three and you're freaking out about it.
