anyone with 3D vision really should checkout the helix patch
http://helixmod.blogspot.co.uk/
the fix doesn't completely fix everything but does most things and its easily one of the best 3D games out there when you apply it, think trine 2 levels of 3D goodness, just had to disable frostrum and minimise convergence and use the alice profile, can't believe how many times nvidia fuck up the profiles :/
runs well in 3D even with physx on high( if you have the cards of course ) slows down at some points but its always perfectly playable
I turned the physx to low today to test performance, and you know... I prefer the game without all the extra particles. I love how cool it all looks, but when you're actually playing the game it can be hard to tell what the hell is going on. Makes it much easier to see the damage numbers as well.
I'm willing to bet that the game was mostly finished when Nvidia approached them with a deal. Now that I can see all the regular VFX work (sans physx), it's pretty obvious that the game was originally designed without it. The cloth is great though! Wish it was possible to have it without particles/fluids.
Regardless, it's definitely a cool use of the tech and I applaud Gearbox for making it happen.
Here's hoping for a mod that gives us more customizable physx settings (% particles, toggles for each category).
The other benefit of all this is that my game now runs at 60fps at all times. (i7 870, GTX 670)
Is there a way to skip the launcher for BPM?

Did you enabled the console? Stat fps command for in game fps.Is there a way to skip the launcher for BPM?
Also, what framerate should I set the game at? I'm trying to see if I can get 60, but 60 cap doesn't seem to work.

Dennisssss tell me how to get that image quality on my GTX 680! No one else wants to tell me :-(
old drivers = easier to turn on those features? It's been very difficult for me to find a solid source of exactly what flags and such to use in NVIDIA Inspector to enable SSGSAA and MSAA in Borderlands 2, and I'm really confused about how to enable downsampling like that on NVIDIA too.

If a 660 runs the game with Physx at a very acceptable framerate chances are a GTX 570 should too.
On a sidenote my 570 takes high Physx like a champ.

Game is DX9 only.
I use old drivers because the new ones I tried would no longer allow me to use SSAA with Mass Effect 3. So I went back.
I should perhaps specify that by downsampling I mean the screenshots themselves later in Photoshop. I am not downsampling in real-time in addition to the already used SSGSAA.
But the IQ I am getting ingame is nearly the same.
Gotcha. So how are you enabling MSAA and SSGSAA in Borderlands 2?
I am using Nvidia Inspector.
I should perhaps also caution that 4xSSGSAA by itself knocks about 30 fps off my framerate......the price of great IQ......
What do you mean 60 cap doesn't work?
I mean that I can't get 60 fps. Tried all the other fps settings but didn't notice a difference. Seems the best I can get out of my setup is 30.
Yeah I tested the cap thing as well with vsync on. It won't go past 60 frames. Or is that the problem of having vsync being on?
http://justpaste.it/1bs1How do I turn off the comic book outlines?

God dammit, i've just seen some stream of X360 version and its like completely another game. I feel sorry for console players now, they dont know what they miss ;p
omg it disables the vignette too?! YEShttp://justpaste.it/1bs1
Didn't realise I forgot to post the link for downsampling.
Here it is, the fast way.

The long long way.

Okay so I have been complaining about getting random fps drops when looking at certain directions... can someone explain this to me?
http://www.abload.de/img/borderlands22012-09-2rraas.png[IMG]
49 fps. I am indoors, but looking toward that area my frames drop way below 60. This is with SLI GTX 580's on max settings. I really don't understand.
I can't say for sure but it might either be a bad coding of the level or thanks to all the fluids the PhysX calculation is off the charts :/ You could do a quick test and set PhysX to off. Also I myself don't own nVidia cards but I heard people saying that dedicating one card to PhysX is better for Borderlands 2 than SLI.
I'm well over recommended on everything but Graphics.
I have a GeForce GTX 460, so how good graphics will I be able to pump out of this beast?
Holy shit. The entire bloodshot base is giving me FPS problems. Looking at certain areas it's locked at 60 fps, then looking at others will give me high 40s. It's really hard to be in combat when that happens. This makes NO sense.

Dammit GAF, shit is cray.
Borderlands is insanely good looking on PC.
What a port. Gearbox deserves the highest praise.
