I platinumed Bl3, Bl2, B1, and gave up on Tiny Tina's after a while. Borderlands is my favorite shooter series easily and with thousands of hours combined between the games, this game sucks and is easily the worst. What an utter disappointment. I have 62 hours in 5 days and I am done with it already and have no desire to even finish the game.
The open world map is a HUGE disappointment. Nothing to see, nothing to do, nothing to explore. You dont ever look off into the distance and see expansive vistas and wonder to yourself "how do I get there? That looks awesome". By getting rid of the zone maps the previous games have had you end up losing the varied biomes. NOTHING is memorable. This one has generic grass, snow, rock, and city biomes. Big whoop. The only environment I liked was when you ascend the sky elevator and do a 15 minute mission in space, and I only liked it because it reminded me of the space map on Bl3 which was FANTASTIC.
The last side mission I did made me tap out. I had to insert a battery into a control panel and watch 2 people walk through a pipe. Then once they reached the end of the pipe I had to walk further down the map to watch them walk through another section of pipe. The mission was capped off with me having to walk down further and ,yup you guessed it, watch them exit the pipe. Congratulations, side mission complete.
Fetch quests where you have to pick up a mcguffin (leaving you disadvantaged and encumbered) and walk it back to a safehouse halfway accross the map were so fucking stupid and boring. You do this literally 30 times.

I picked Amon as my character. Giant dude, looks tough, sounds really cool, imposing bad ass gun toting guy who it turns out is a fag-o-sexual and they will not let you forget that as it's brought up multiple times. Imagine my surprise
. Girl bosses, weird forced gay-mances, and general wokeness throughout this trash heap.
Traversing the map is great with the glider except now the characters move WAY too slow. They need to turn the characters run speed up and 1.5 x's it. The grappling hook is a halfbaked implementation and useless for anything other than pulling yourself up a ledge thats just out of reach. Why cant I fire it off and grapple enemies and stagger them, or even pull guns out of their hands and force them to switch to secondary weapons which would add strategy to fights?
Ok fuck it, nowthat I think about it, its a 6.9/10
I hate the menu system. I know everyone hated the menus from Bl3 but to me they were functional and once you got the hang of it they were fine. Outside of sorting options, this one is worse and literally half the time the button prompts dont even work. If you go to customize your player skin, weapon skin, change head, or body type usually more often than not the new skin wont load, or if it does it wont apply, and sometimes it wont even load the placeholder image when you select the icons so you cant even see what you are trying to select.
I hate the graphics. I dont know why and I dont know how but it both looks and performs worse than Bl3 on PS5.
Where the hell is the music? The music is usually non-existent and when it is there it is beyond forgettable. It's complete trash.

This whole game is trash. I wasted 80 bucks on this and wish I could both refund this shit and also have my memory wiped of it.
I can go on and on but this was my most anticipated game since the day it was announced and it killed and love and hype I had for it almost immediately.
I haven't touched on the money/eridium economy, the drop rates, the skill tree and point system, the vehicles, or the needle in a haystack quest item searches in the game. Remember how they said it's more serious in tone? That was a fucking lie. It's the same stupid marvel humor they have been doing for 3 games now and they know how annoying it is because there is literally a "Claptrap" vocal slider in the audio options. So fucking horrible. I hate it, I hate this game so much.
