I think everyone has said the game has performance issues, but almost all of them have said the game is a lot of fun.
The open world reminds me of the old Elder Scrolls Online with the Domes acting like the Anchor spawns.

Why would the scores be lower? The main criticism is the poor performance on consoles, which they didn't play on for reviews. They played on high-end PCs with higher framerates.

There is nothing about bad performance on consoles. All actual reviews so far are PC.

From a few vids I clicked the performance is shockingly hilarious.

One notable example 4060 couldn't get 60+ at low settings at 1080p in a game that looks like this:

no surprise about the user score here, even if it's uesless most of the time.

Depends on PS5 performance though. UE5 so I expect 720p and bad framerate which downgrades it to "check it out if it comes to Ps+"

- visuals dont match the performance hit at all
-enemy variety is shit which is even more damaging due to its open world nature
-open world is full of infinite garbage-like quests and activities worse than Ubisoft
-the fact that they put that stupid retarded radar instead of the series essential minimap is idiotic and opening the map takes forever
-and so on.

The fact that Borderlands 3 makes this game look bad is...not good...at all. Well, maybe until next year they'll fine tune stuff tho doubt it.

no one plays Borderlands for the story ? Yeah, you may be right, but that doesn't mean the game doesn't have one, 90% of Borderlands 4 reviews clearly think that the "story" or the "lack of it" for some of you, dont reach BL2 and its characters.

Tales of the Borderlands was very good. It had depth, regular Borderlands certainly doesn't.
If you are into the story of Borderlands, you are a very small minority. It is therefore unlikely Gearbox will try to appease the minority.
