pure awesomeness, thanks I ll stick with this!God's Beard said:After watching these feeds, I moved some points around to make Roland a little more practical.
Passive abilities:
+60% magazine size
+15% weapon damage
Active abilities(activates when killing an enemy):
+30% fire rate
+75% recoil reduction
+04% shield restoration per second
+03% grenade damage
+02 grenades generated per minute
Turret abilities:
+35% damage
+05 shots fired per burst
+05 ammo regeneration rate for nearby players
+05% health regeneration per second for nearby players
Rocket fired every 8 seconds
No cooldown period(holy shit)
Larger clips + faster, stronger bullets + low recoil + health/shields/ammo regen FTW
It's possible to have assault rifles with over 200% clip size and no recoil, but I felt that there were better ways to spend points. The main thing is that the turret, although a powerful tool, is best used as a tool, not the main way to kill.

Much like Batman: Arkham Asylum's sale price during its initial release, Canadian retailers are giving players a break with the upcoming shooter Borderlands. For a limited time, Futureshop, Walmart and Best Buy are offering the Gearbox title for the discounted price of $39.96 on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Borderlands hits stores on October 20, giving Canadians plenty of time to dig out of their snow covered homes.

AFAIK Steam preorder deals always last up until the day of release, so you've got some time.Mr. Snrub said:How long does that deal last? I have me and another person who want to buy it, and we're 90% certain we want it, but want to wait for the reviews to drop.

They are purples (epics) that should last you through the beginning levels is what I heard.Jayge said:I saw someone say that Brandon would be broadcasting again at 10 PM EST. I'm looking forward to it :lol

They stack. Brick doesn't bother me, as long the game sticks to oddball proportions I think it's fine. And it does.God's Beard said:I have an extremely important question: If you put all 5 points in a skill, and then get a class mod that raises it, what happens?
Also, I really really hate Brick's cartoon legs. This is what a bodybuilder looks like:

I'm pretty sure one of the Justin streamers had a class mod that gave him some points in Loaded on Mordecai before he actually unlocked it and it worked with both mag- and revolver-based snipers, take that as you will.Hazaro said:Did you watch a high leveled stream to find this out?
Also I've tweaked my Roland build to what I think is optimal.
Before: http://www.borderlandsthegame.com/skilltree/roland/#01000000005505555550005
After: http://www.borderlandsthegame.com/skilltree/roland/#01000000005505515353305
I wonder if Overload affects revolver type guns... Or if you would need a magazine based sniper rifle/pistol to get the benefit from it.

Increases magazine capacity. I know I'm being specific, but given Borderlands attitude I hope you are right.God's Beard said:"Increases magazine capacity with all weapon types." I'm going to be so pissed if it doesn't round up though. Turning a 1-shot rocket launcher into a 2-shot would be awesome.
Also, it's weird how different our builds are. mine's a rushdown killer while you've got some kind of defensive tank.

Hinges said:I have noticed that when the Refire bonus is activated every 7 seconds, both skills seem to reduce the time taken by approximately the same amount per rank (Just look at that diagonal of 50s!). It seems plausible that testing revealed that 7 seconds was the average time between Refire bonuses for an average player, so the talents were balanced to have roughly the same value - the upshot is, that if you think you can activate the Refire bonus more than once every seven seconds, go for Refire, and if not, Deploy. Though of course, you could pile points into both and see how close you can get to that 11 second cooldown!

Time to move 2 points out from Deploy and into caut/revive (Maybe even forgo aid station since health seems to not be a big factor from vids I have seen so far, plus I have other means to heal)

Yeah, I intend to try and snipe as much as I can, and I tried focusing on skills that benefited sniping and other weapon classes as much as possible for the inevitable close-range fighting that will have to occur. I think I'm confident in rolling Mordecai as my first character now. I like focus too, but Trespass is fucking ridiculous :lolHawkian said:Very interesting builds. If you're gonna snipe I'd say go with no gunslinger. Focus really is pretty uber.
