lol It looks like a UFO. Seriously, without the balloon captions on every news channel, at a decent zoom distance, it looks like a stereotypical ufo.

TOmorrow's headlines: "Farmer near Denver spots UFO trailing across sky!"

They're saying he may have fallen out already :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

Fallen out before it got that high/took off, not fallen out from that height.

EDIT: Why does every one keep thinking the kid invented it?

not even another hot air balloon would work. you can't steer it to his balloon and you wouldn't be able to hold it steady for a rescue. basically. if the craft doesn't slowly lose air to descent at a gentle pace, he's dead.

I don't see any windows, so is the kid just sitting in a dark box and not really knowing wtf is going on?

LOL at local nbc anchor just comparing it to Apollo 13.

i have no volume-- is the kid still in it? or did he fall out? and which option would be better for his safety?

This feels like a disney/children's movie come to life, except possibly a lot more serious in the end.
often times, Disney scenarios in real life would be dangerous and fucked up.

CNN's reporter read a statement that a sibling had seen the boy crawl out of the thing (before it got so high).
They're interviewing a cop on nbc now and she said he's still in the balloon.

guys i think its getting really close to the ground now. the camera is at a lower angle.

edit: video keeps doing dark.
