He was amazing in Attack the Block so I looked forward to his Star Wars role.
They had him whooping and hollering 10 minutes into the movie as he turned into a completely different character. Then they made him the janitor, not a regular stormtrooper. It was neat when he picked up the lightsaber but that went nowhere.
A complete waste of a good actor and excellent character premise.

He's moaning his character was a useless fart despite being a main character. He was completely irrelevant to the plot but had to be used as he was a main character.
Han Solo was completely irrelevant to the plot of return of a Jedi despite being a main well liked character.
It was just a shit, badly written part. If he wants to cry about it that's fine but had nothing to do with his colour.

For me, some of the things he has said as far as experiences he has had I find very relatable.
Same sort of stuff you hear from other groups, "So and so shouldn't be in this movie because they arent this/that."
I don't know about other comments and things, but a few I have read make sense.
As far as star wars, haven't liked any of the new ones.

He's not telling lies though. Sure it's career suicide but better to be honest than being used as a puppet for the woke machine. His character had the most potential and instead they just turned him into a Chris Tucker in space side kick.

Eh, I agree with Boyega in part, but it's very hard to feel bad for famous people with a lot of money. A lot of actors are wasted in the roles they play, or their characters are poorly used. It doesn't have to be racism if the scriptwriter and director don't emphasize a character in a movie.

Sounds like a guy who thought he was signing up for superstardom via Star Wars, only to realize that the last three movies were dogshit and almost universally hated by fans, in part because of their SJW leanings. You'd think he'd be smart enough to not double down on that.

I'm not sure that scoring below fucking Captian Marvel counts as a win lol.
John is trying to complain about being marginalized, but honestly it's more that the writers at the table tried so hard to shoehorn in so much wokeness that they couldn't make a cohesive plot with any relateable character development.

Now that I think about it a bit more, I can kind of see his perspective.
Having a Stormtrooper turn was a brilliant idea was a flat put brilliant idea, honestly. But a great idea is not worth much without a decent execution.
When you first see him and he kills the other stormtrooper, without conscience, that is a monumental mistake. They glid over 3 films of character development in 20 seconds.
Maybe that is the point though- the Empire is a cipher for the "alt-right". You can't have people with a conflicted conscience about that. And just like that, all character analysis is ruled out from the outset. He never had a chance. The Woke ideology does not allow conflicted and complex psychologies, because their psychology serves their morality, which is black and white.
