Hmm, I know a person from Italy that will come to Brazil in a few days. She asked my aunt (who's her best friend) to buy the tickets from a brazilian airline, because the prices in Real are way lower than in Euros.

I don't know if it helps: http://www.tam.com.br

Brazil is the country of the "ready joke" ... so it is fair that we have here the biggest one of the last few years

ONIPE.jpg

Context for the non brazilian people :

In the 60's brazil was controled by a Military goverment that was close to a dictatorship. Torture, censorship and everything that you can expect from the worst dictatorship happened.
One of the main political parties that was involved was the ARENA (National Renewal Alliance Party) that was an insanely conservative and "patriotic" party that was the main responsable for the "coup d'état" to happen.

So this punk crazy 22 year old girl with a lip piercing suddenly said that she is going to try to remake the ARENA party because the country needs a more "patriotic and conservative party" and because how awesome was the country at that time.

This comic is what would happen to a punk crazy 22 year old girl with lip piercing meets the military goverment of that time =|

The strip is really stupid though

So the world cup already started with a CHEF (? seriously) doing a mess during the draw. Nice start.

From the pics that make you laugh thread (although it's not a pic): http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=00f_1354298491

So good, hahaha.

Holy shit. ahahahha

I'm really surprised that no one posted this amazing production from our best TV channel.

Silvio Santos is the eternal king. Faustao wished he had half his charisma.

So, Google just launched the movie and book services here in Brazil :D Great if you have an android phone (don't know if you can download them to your pc). So we just need the music service and we're done! (devices won't ever come here, I think)
Edit: Actually, it doesn't seem like movies are tied to you cellphone, so you can download them to your pc, I think :)

Amazon.com.br is also up, with more books than Google Play, cheaper, more free stuff, and Kindle coming for R$299!

So, explain me something here. Does Romário actually do anything beyond bitching about CBF?

He is a politician, he should worry about other matters but its the only thing he does. I suspect his bitching is because he wants a slice of the cake CBF has.

His verbal beatdown against Mano Menezes after the Olympics was awesome, he was so pissed.

Like ColossalLazy said, Romário is just a politician nowadays. Since he's in the opposition side nowadays, he gets pretty verbal - but once he manages to get inside the Confederation he'll probably just melt into the thieving crowd.

The shittiest Amazon store ever, haha. Although a Kindle for that price might be relevant to my interests. I hate carrying my iPad around just for reading.

Let's see how Amazon will act here with physical products. I wanna see their consumer support and delivery speed.

Romario at least seem to be trying to make the World Cup not so bad for Brazil, while other politicians dont give a shit about how much money the government is spending in it. He is always visiting the constructions and complaining about the money wasted...

but nothing really changed because of him.

I'm going to be in Brazil in March, just curious, is there a PC Gaming market down there? I hear it's really expensive to build a computer down there.

Yes, there's a PC market here and building a computer is considerably more expensive than in the USA. But games are a bit cheaper (only the PC games, console games have really high prices) .

SBT's great comeback is underway.

It has been underway since.... 10 years ago?

Also, let's all pray Corinthians will win the title, or we will experience more murders, robbery and other crimes in a single day than we ever did.

pq não falam portuguese? gostaria da oportunidade de falar-o ^_^

There are people on GAF who get into a murderous rage if they see Brazilians speaking in portuguese in an english forum. I wouldn't want to challenge them.

We don't speak portuguese because it is a thread about the COUNTRY, not the language.

If there are foreign people who wants to learn more about the wonders of brazil, we are here to help and speaking only on portuguese would make those kind of people unconfortable at best from posting here

But if you want to try, as people said, you can pm praticaly anyone =3
