Watched the whole series in about a month. Just finished the last episode of season 4 a min ago. This is easily hands down my favorite tv series of all time.

I just finished season 4 (took me 1 week to finish the entire series). Fucking amazing. The part where
you see Gus' blown up face as he walked out of Tio Salamanca's room blew my mind. Went he came out, I was like wtf... how did he survive that. Then when they showed the other side of his face...
Soooo good.

A lot of people are watching the series for the first time. Is it okay to spoil a game's plot the day it comes out?

Why would they come into this thread if that were true? If you insist on using a game analogy, it's like starting up a brand new title and clicking on a thread titled "Game X's Second to Last Level."

Even if you want to argue the merit of the principle that aired episodes are fair game, it makes little sense to do so with a 0day analogy several months after the last episode of the season aired.

Also, a TV show's episode takes a maximum of about 45 minutes to watch. Most games with plots are no less than 10 times that long.

Awesome show. Caught up on it and I'm amazed how Walt's character has transformed since the first season.

I've been listening to Black by Danger Mouse on repeat since finishing.

So I' slightly late to the Breaking Bad party. Just finished Season 3. Looking forward to sitting down and watching Season 4 when the time comes. I'm pretty out of the loop on the show as far as production goes, I've just been enjoying it for what it is. A friend told me that Season 5 will be the final season. Is that true?

EDIT: And when is the fourth season coming out on DVD/BD?

I really don't know where they'll take the series now. It really felt like everything was over after this past season.
I really felt like the whole Gus story arc was fantastic and it's gonna feel weird that he's not going to be around anymore. I know there are a whole lot of loose ends they still need to tie up, but that ending really felt like the series could have just ended, and I wouldn't have had a problem with that.

Hank vs Walter.

Believe.

Also at some point Jessie will find out that Walter poisoned the kid and let Jane die which will piss him off. There's also the Mike situation. What happens when he comes back to find that his boss died? There's also Gus' death itself. Gus most probably worked for someone, or at least provided meth to other important members of the cartel. I don't think they will be too happy when they find out that their #1 provider is dead.

That's what I am thinking, but I can't think of a way they would set up the whole I'm Gus' boss deal. I could see Season 5 start off with Hank being extra suspicious about the events of the last 2 episodes and starting to become suspicious of Walt.

Just caught up on the series. Great, great series, will be watching Season 5 when it starts, the problem will be now I'll have to wait a week to watch the next episode instead of just watching it right away :(

I think the only way Jessie will find out is if Walter tells him. Especially the Jane situation, there's no way for him to find out unless Walter tells him, the Brock situation, I guess he can see the Lily plant in Walter's backyard and jump to that conclusion, but even then that's reaching because I think that's a common plant and Walter can just use that argument as he's much smarter than Jessie.

I'm very curious which direction they will take S5, I hope it's not like Dexter's season 5 where they took it a completely different direction and it kinda sucked.

Hank will definitely be suspicious of the bombing, but then again that could just be the cartel plotting to get back at Gus' for killing their crew. Hank suspects is involved with meth. Maybe Walter won't be able to stop cooking meth as that's his addiction and he likes the feeling and likes being on the edge. Especially since he knows he's gonna die.

One thing I don't like about the series is Gus' Spanish. Don't get me wrong, the character is really great and the immersion is there, but when he speaks Spanish, he has an accent and does not talk like a native at all. For someone who is Chilean and supposedly grew up in Chile, that kinda breaks the illusion for me.

When does the next season air btw?

Yes, there will be sixteen more episodes of BB. They're going to split the final season into two eight-episode halves.

Are they going to split them across two full years or just a hiatus between them? Or do we not know yet?

I'll be pretty disappointed if all I get this year is 8 episodes.

I don't think they've announced anything official yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they split it up over two full years to extend the series as long as they can.

Just finished season 4.

I do like the show, and I understand why it gets al the praise it does. Some things bug me though.

Why were Walter and Jessie's phones not bugged, along with their homes?

I though the scene where Gus walks away from he car bomb was bullshit.

Also, Jessie, and much more so Walter, are both so unlikeable, most of my emotion towards the show has been negative.

They've been using disposable cell phones since the beginning of the show.

Feeling negative emotions is not a bad thing. Not every show has to make you feel good.

And I really liked Gus walking away. The sum of Jesse's behavior and everything else didn't add up and he felt it. He wouldn't have gotten to where he was without being extremely careful. Figures that the time he slipped up was when he was emotionally involved (in his hatred for Hector).

The Shield. Pretty much the next best thing for me.
Dexter S1-2 are great as well. Just pretend he gets caught or dies afterwards.
The Wire is supposedly the best drama series out there, I haven't watched it yet.

No gus next season is going to be really really weird. He was fantastic in the final season.

I'm in season 4 of the Wire, its an amazing show.

Watch Season 4 too. Dexter 1,2,4 is up there with Breaking Bad.

Each season on its own, yes. But the idea that Dexter goes around killing dozens of dudes without any suspicion is just silly. And how many serial killers are there in Miami?
By the time we get to S4, Dex has killed around 40 people, and that's without those he killed before the series started.
Sorry, I love Dexter as much as the next guy, but unless you view the seasons as detached tales, you just can't take them as serious as Breaking Bad. The cumulative body count is just too silly.
