Mysoginistic TV Gaf Assemble.
Comments like this are beyond any fuckings of Teds and are way way worse. It's okay to not like a character because you don't like the character. Calling sexism or whatever at that is ridiculous. If people who don't like Skyler also say negative things about a male character from another show, what does that make them? Hitler? A furry?

Get outta here with that shit. Skysky was shitted on from the very beginning and the worst she has done is fucked another dude after being seperated from her husband who was off making meth, lying about his cancer, and killing people in polyethylene containers.
I know this might sound weird, but honestly, for breaking bad that seems kind of easy. I hope it's not that. The creator of the show said that Hank is considered the shit in the DEA now. Like people march to the beat of his drum
imo I think the season will be
Walt vs Jessie, Jessie will finally lose it because of Jane's Death...and imo it will most likely end with jessie dying (possiblly killed by hank). That is the end of the first half of the season
The last 8 episodes: Walt vs Hank and the entire DEA on his back, with Walts death.
And of course every single example of irrational dislike for someone has been about a female, right?

also I hated Tyrus just as much as I hated on Skyler for anyone following this thread. Tyrus rubbed me the wrong way too. Fuck that dude. It's not really picking on her. I'm not even talking about any justifications for anything she might have said or done. All I'm saying is the way she acts as well as the tone of her voice and all that can rub people the wrong way.
I mean my mom stated that she disliked her AFTER THE PILOT. LOL. She just has that way about her. It's fine if you don't feel the same, but that's just how she is.
Marie also rubbed me the wrong way early on but last season I liked her a lot, I've done a 180 on her, personally.People love jesse (dissolved body, killed gale, sells meth)
People love saul (criminal lawyer, accomplice to murder)
People love walt (there's not enough space in this post)
People love gus (see walt)
People love jr(br br breakfast!)
People hate skysky(she's a "bitch")
People hate Marie (ugh that purple!)
Hmm....
I don't hate Skylar but I can definitely see why people do. She comes off as a bitch in nearly every scene. It's almost intangible, but it's definitely there. You can just feel the bitchiness and know that if you were in a relationship with this woman she would nag the shit out of you constantly about every little thing out there.
There is no specific thing she has done in the show that I think warrants a hatred for her, but there is definitely a bitchy "undertone" to everything she does. It's a bit hard to explain, the way she looks at Walt sometimes, her tone of voice, etc. Also, first impressions are everything and that's the first impression people get of her. It taints their entire view of the character just like in real life.
once again, it's not about her. Even when she interacts with junior. It's ever present. Like said above, it's hard to explain in words but it's there, and a lot of people obviously notice it.Well, she does have to deal with that asshole husband who doesn't know how to swallow his pride, is way too involved with his job and takes it out on here in a passive aggressive way (don't mess up my rocks marie!).

I mean like my previous example, Carmela is a super bitch to Tony in the Sopranos many a times, and yes he deserves it many a times, but you'd be hardpressed to find people who dislike her. But Skyler...there is something there. It's annoying. You can't see it. Lots of others can. It's not your fault or anything, it's not a bad thing if it's something you're not getting or feeling, but is it hard to believe that many others do feel it?

Ted is one of the worst villains in tv history, man I hate that guy.A dude who was Ted.
Fucking Ted, man.
I mean, I'm not saying that everyone who doesn't like Skyler is a misogynist or anything, but you rarely see words like "nagging" "bitchiness" and such and such labeled on a male character.
Was it confirmed that he died? I thought it was ambiguous? Now I feels like I missed something.
Link or it didn't happen!Im trying to find something...but I thought Vince confirmed it very recently that he died.

Found something else interesting....Bryan Cranston interview..possible movie?
We could actually go beyond those 16 episodes.
I never understand why people want movies after tv shows. Like when people were talking about a Sopranos movie... How good could a 2 hour movie possibly be when 1 season of the show is 10+ hours.
Banned. You can drop sleepers like Fly from there.
Forgive me for being a pessimist, but very little of what I've seen in the previews leads me to believe that this series is headed in the right direction.
It's replete with one-liners
Forgive me for being a pessimist, but very little of what I've seen in the previews leads me to believe that this series is headed in the right direction.
It's replete with one-liners ("We're done when I say we're done.", "I'm afraid Walt...of you...", and "Because I said so.") that are just cheesy out of context, but moreover, the way I hear the cast talking about season 5 worries me.
First, they seem to be putting Hank into full-on Detective LaGuerta from Dexter mode. He appears no more suspicious of Walter White than he was last season. Characters like his should apply some intuition, which is what he's done in the past. I thought his mannerisms in season 4 indicated that he was starting to suspect Walt.
Second, why is Walter the one stirring up his own trouble? Wouldn't the most realistic thing be for trouble to find him? Like he tries to make a clean break, but he can't because of some as yet unknown entity. He has to be a boss and a badass, I get that, but doesn't Walt still have some flaws which make him vulnerable as a criminal? Like his tendency to over-analyze things, or to overreach.
Finally, why are events getting bigger? This isn't 24. This is a show about great characters, not epic scenarios. Every time I hear someone from the cast describe the show, they use the word "Crazy." Whenever someone describes a show that way, I cringe, because it smacks of a knowledge of events that will ring false when the smoke clears. This show needs dark, quiet and brooding, with bursts of suspense, not "bigger, badder, better!"

So when people happen to dislike the two female characters on the show (for the record, I actually like Marie, but I don't like Skyler), it's the fault of misogyny, not (bad) writing?
The reason I put bad in brackets is because the writing fully intended, for at least all of seasons 1 and 2, for the audience to sympathise with Walt, and thus dislike characters who opposed him, e.g. Skyler. Now that she's more complicit in his activities, lots of people like her, but I happen still to find her irritating. Partly due to Anna Gunn (didn't enjoy her in Deadwood either), partly due to writing, but not at all due to misogyny.
I could buy that argument if Carrie wasn't my favourite part of Homeland, Claudette one of my favourite parts of The Shield, etc.
