Oh good, I can be a complete wreck for the entirety of the season.

just typical stuff. He was asked if there's any special moment or a certain episode number to look forward to and he said every episode has those moments, they're gonna move faster than they ever have, lots of exciting things happening.I can only see the first part of this, when I go to the "After the Jump" part there isn't a link or anything to see the rest, just the summary. Can someone post the contents here please?
This is worrying me
I agree wholeheartedly.I'm okay with it being faster paced, but I think that means it won't be my favorite season. The slow burn of S4 is legendary.
Ugh I hate seeing this thread bumped when we still have over a month to wait.
Unfortunately, most of the bumps are going to be for pretty inconsequential news items, but we are getting closer to something substantial as the days tick by.Ugh I hate seeing this thread bumped when we still have over a month to wait.
Thanks, Truman.
I was a little surprised by that, too. Wikipedia says: "Although the awards still primarily nominate films and TV in the science fiction, fantasy and horror categories, the Saturns have also recognized productions in standard dramatic genres." I guess they just do whatever they feel like. Why is Breaking Bad winning Saturn awards? I thought those were supposed to be for the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres? Are they just now handing out awards to any "cult" television show?
Good lord don't think we'll be able to handle the show moving so fast.At least we won't have people whining that it's a slow burn early on (and then love the payoff that wouldn't be possible without the slow burn).
But I like this. Table is set. Lets see it play out. He sounds so excited about the final 8. I'm prepared to be blown away.
They're amusing at times. IIRC, they're pretty short, so it won't take you long to burn through them. Are the "minisodes" any good? Worth watching at all?
The marathon screenings, which will take place in the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center Amphitheater at 144 West 65th Street in New York, will culminate on Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2 with "The Perfect Batch: Breaking Bad Cast Favorites." Series creator and executive producer Vince Gilligan will join stars Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk and other guests to be announced later in the month to present their favorite episodes and participate in Q&A sessions at the Walter Reade Theater. The conversation portion of the evening will be live streamed through Filmlinc.com, and a video of the panel will be available in its entirety on amctv.com.
They're going through with the Saul Goodman spin-off

Why?I'm still firmly on the "this is a bad idea" side.

Could be a prequel or it could be a sequel. He hasn't specified.Welp, that means saul dies.
This is them trying to spread disinformation.
They're putting together a pitch to show to the network, but keep in mind that it's not a done deal yet. I'd imagine that the network and the studio want to keep on working with them. In some ways I'm more interested in what Gilligan wants to do once he hands this off to Peter Gould.
Why?
Saul Goodman is a great character. On Breaking Bad. Used sparingly. Making a spinoff easily has the potential to dilute the legacy of the show as a whole.
You know how Walt would always copy what the person he killed used to do? Like when he killed Crazy 8 (I think it was crazy 8, idk but the one he strangled) he started cutting off the crust of bread.
Then there was gus, and then he started making the big decisions/"the methlamine keeps flowing no matter what"
And then he killed mike and he began being more assertive
Well remember the foreshadow in the beginning of season 5, he's breaking the bacon pieces into "52". Something skyler used to do
It's probably been covered before but
A quote from a youtube comment. I'd be saddened to see Skyler go.

man I forgot how good season 4 is. Marie going to open houses. Jesse asking Walt to go gokarting. Skysky sonning the carwash owner guy.

Like Jack Sparrow is good in small doses in Pirates 1. Make him the lead and you get garbage like Pirates 4.
