Beat EviLore at pool.
The first two clips from Season 5, Part II have aired on AMC

They're only about 5 seconds long each, and show next to nothing, but they're certainly getting me hyped. The quality of these YouTube versions is pretty terrible; if someone finds a better quality version, I'll update the link.

Holy shit. What the fuck? Next month almost here.

dave is ok

aztek is ok
They're so good at teasing new seasons of this show. I remember when the first season 3 teaser came out with Walt burning all the money I lost my shit.

Panel info from over on HitFix:
July 21st
"Breaking Bad"
11:15-12:15
Hall H
Who: Stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, R. J. Mitte and Bob Odenkirk, plus creator and executive producer Vince Gilligan.
Lowdown: "Breaking Bad" was a late Comic-Con adopter, but the show has been well received down in San Diego and a Sunday panel celebrating the end of its Emmy-winning run should bring a passionate crowd to Hall H, even if lots of those people will actually just be hanging around for "Doctor Who" afterwards.

So what's the best way to watch these if you don't have AMC? Will they be on Amazon Video or iTunes or anything?
was in the same dilemma, ended up renting the DVDs from blockbuster. halfway through watching them now, so far quite a slow burn.

FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

this is easily the biggest cock tease in the history of the universe

i will never experience another show half as great as this one ):

i said HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I am rewatching this and almost up to the end of Season 4.

Its wierd how my perception of the characters has changed somewhat. In my first watch I found Skylar more and more intolerable as the series progressed. Part of it was that her character was kinda annoying but mostly because everything else that happens around her is way, WAY more interesting. That hasnt changed much but I think Skylar actually improves over the series now. Season 1 and 2 Skylar is terrible but 3 onwards I actually like her character. I still dont think she is a good person but I see the justifications for the things she does.

Jesse on the other hand (on my first viewing of the series) I always felt like he was the victim of terrible circumstances (and Walter to a certain degree) but rewatching it, I just feel like he becomes a terrible, terrible person over the second season onwards. He gets a girl who had stayed clean for almost 2 years hooked back on drugs, wants to sell drugs to people going to meetings to make their life less of a wreck, threatens to rat on his partner who has saved his life countless times and just becomes more and more of a whiny teenager.

Walt I think stays consistent to what I remember him as. Which is to say, a fascinating asshole. :D

Edit So the Boxcutter episode, why does Gus kill his own henchman? Was it to make a point? Or because he was seen? Or because he felt he ruined a batch with his amateur cook?

I'm driving through ABQ in a few days... I think I'm gonna do a stop at a few places.

- Walts house
- The car wash

What else though?

Half the people in this show aren't good people. :lol
And for Gus killing his henchman, if I recall correctly it was to show how serious he was. Don't quote me on that though, since I haven't seen the episode recently.

Doing a rewatch and trying to catch details I might have missed. When and how does Walt decide on "Heisenberg"? First mention I can find is 1x06 when he meets Tuco for the first time.

Saw this episode the other day and then just saw this comic:

I don't think they say for certain, but i've always thought of it as a nod to the Uncertainty Principle relating to Walts transition to Heisenberg and the latters unpredictable being.

Probably a combination of those three.
Killing him to make a point about how they're expendable and what will happen if you get out of line (which in the henchman's case was cooking without permission).
Gale's neighbors saw the shady henchman which made him a risk.
The henchman started cooking without any word to Gus that he would do so (stepping out of line), which could be a waste of ingredients and product especially since he's never cooked before.

To prove he's in charge. The henchman took matters into his own hands and started cooking without Gus' approval. Gus was just exercising his authority to prove a point.

- AMC: Breaking Bad Cast and Creator Join TimesTalks July 30
Attention, fans of Breaking Bad: Don't miss a chance to hear leading man Bryan Cranston, his co-stars Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte and Bob Odenkirk, and the show's creator, Vince Gilligan talk with New York Times culture reporter Dave Itzkoff about the series, the characters and what's coming in the show's final eight episodes.

The sold-out panel will be held on Tue., Jul. 30 from 6:30 at 8PM ET at The TimesCenter and will be simultaneously live-streamed on the ArtsBeat section of the New York Times website. Afterwards, you can find video from the panel on AMC.com

You know, that's actually a weak spot for me. The convulutions required to get the Ricin, as well as the double-thinking required to make it seem like a good plan *and* to think that Jesse would actually read it the way Walt wanted to-- that took me out of the story bigtime. Which is too bad, because it wasn't really necessary to the story, either.

Eh, it was a desperate plan to get Jesse on his side again. I had no problems with it.

I don't begrude anyone liking it, it was just too far-fetched for me to buy into. Nothing else has ever gone that "right" for Walt before or since.

I can hear you. I still loved it. But I always prefered Season 3 by a little, since S4 feels a little more contrived to me. Yet, if it's interesting then I'll allow it.

Well it was clear this series is more comic book-y since that plane incident

So season 4 Walt is no crazier than that or the lame terminator twins from season 3

Holy shit Walt is at the peak of annoying prick mode in season 5. He's just a complete dick and now he doesn't need to hide it either so he just gives this smug face to Jesse and Mike in every episode lol

I felt that his transformation to scarface was a little too abrupt in the season 4 finale. Like a switch just turned on after he was rid of Gus but oh well it had to happen before the series finale at some point

He had been seen at the crime scene. And Gus knew that he no longer could be associated with him. Killing him was his only option, doing it infont of Jesse and Walt, was just an added bonus..

I've seen several people say this...including Walt and I could not disagree more. He was seen at Gale's murder and became a liability. That's all it was IMO. I really don't think he had anything at all to do with him stepping over his bounds.
