In anticipation of the final 8 episodes, what are some of your favorite Breaking Bad moments from the first 4.5 seasons?

Mine:
  • When Walt mows down the 2 drug dealers and shoots one to save Jesse's life. The moment Walt ran out of his house, I was expecting him to arrive and have Jesse jump in his car, or to show up with Mike or someone, but what actually happened was more amazing.
  • The first time (I think) Walt goes full Heisenberg in the "This isn't meth" scene with Tucco. Best part is that he walks out of there with a deal and with some pain and suffering money for Jesse.
  • The end of season 3 when Jesse saves himself and Walt by shooting Gale. It was everything that led up to it that was amazing. Walt playing Mike to make the phone call to Jesse, how Walt let Mike know what he did, and finally the tension when Jesse does what he needs to do to live.
  • The showdown between Hank and the twins. So much tension and I loved how it played out.
  • I know it was a bit cheesy but I loved the cold open car scene in Season 5 where the Aztec is finally retired and Walt and Walt Jr get new cars.

Lots on moments stand out for me but two highlighted the fantastic writing and acting in this show. Where Walt allows Jesse girlfriend to choke knowing that its gets her out of the way. It's the major sign of his final metamorphose (funny how they use Kafka references in other episodes also). And the gut wrenching train episode with the young boy collecting spiders. You share their excitement in what they managed to pull off with regards to the train and then seconds later you see the consequences, that scene sent shivers down my spine, I was just thinking about his parents and what they would be going through. When A TV show does that, you know it’s special.

- "this is noth meth!" *BOOM*
- Jane's death and Walt's involvement in it
- "Jessie......run!"
- "your boss is gonna need me"

I liked the scene where Walt tells Hank that Gale does not seem to be Heisenberg at the dinner table. You could just see the wtf look on Skylars face.

Wow, WOW. Just finished the mid-season closer. This show...I just sat there staring at my TV for a few minutes after that final moment.

These last 8 episodes are going to be nothing short of incredible.

Four days out (maybe three I forget) - pretty much the whole episode with special mentions being the cook sequence and the high five that Walt and Jesse share.

The scene following said LOADS about his character. The very specific choices that he made...wow.
I don't think that scene you mention said anything new that wasn't already said in the RV scene that lead to the bullet holes. We already knew what he would do in self defense at that point. Now if he had killed without the guy swinging a "knife" at him, that would be different but I don't think they were ready to take the character that far at that point.

Just burned through all 54 episodes of this over the last 5 days. Kinda feel I don't need the rest of season 5, I quite like the way the last episode ends.
