After some time I have concluded season 5 was the worst season thus far. It just didn't click like the other seasons. Yes it is half over but man that felt forced.

I agree with this. Season 4 finale was a bit too conclusive, so it was really hard to make 5 feel like it's not tacked on. Also there's the part where Walt just turned insane just like that. It should have been a gradual decline, but he was on a gradual decline for the first four seasons and then fell off a cliff.

well one could argue that finally conquering someone like Gus was the straw that broke the camels back in terms of craziness.

He blew up a bad guy, but it feels like he got lobotomized. It seemed like the writers were so anxious to start writing crazy-Walt that they forgot to actually make him crazy first.

I'm 24 minutes I to full measure....who want to relive this fucking magnificent spectacle with me as well as season four opener?

I feel like everything leading upto the Crawl Space scene was more than enough justification.

Yeah, what's the moment in season 5 that people think Walt went full crazy? It was in season 4. People made a gif of it.

So what are you all watching on Sunday nights? I havent found a temp substitute ... :(

Homeland s2 starts soon, given that I don't really see how they are going to make second season work. Also Boardwalk Empire! S3 looks so freaking good at least going by the trailer.

I have to say Season 4>Season 5 part 1>Season3>>>Season 2=Season 1

Season 1 and 2 were great don't get me wrong but ultimately in the scheme of the show they just seem like build up. Season 5 was great, but the lack of a central villain driving the show was apparent and Walt is definitely no Gus.

You realise Walt is the central villain of Season 5 right? It's the whole point of the season. Of course he's no Gus, it's about his failure as a kingpin and his "empire" crumbling away.

Boardwalk Empire on Sunday nights. The real issue is what I'll do in the beginning of the new year to bridge the gap until Game of Thrones and Mad Men.

Walt has been well past the point of being a human being since Half Measures/Full Measure in S3. Murdering Gail was his final step into being a monster.

Yes, it's not that there was anything wrong with that I just specifically enjoyed season 4 more and really enjoyed Gus as a character. Like I said season 5 was fantastic, but just not as good as 4. Season 5 part 2 has the potential to blow 4 out of the water and be one of the best seasons of any show imo though

Recently picked up this show, its very enjoyable with the only real complaint being how they kept trying to sell mike as being reasonable and levelheaded when all he would ever do is ride Walts ass for the sake of comflict since jesseXwalt had become old hat.

luckily there wont be anymore of that

He needs to watch Dexter.

Then he will know what the same thing over and over really looks like and realize the error in his ways.
The sad part is that I think he has.

He got halfway through series 2 and claims it's just "WE NEED A DISTRIBUTOR OH SHIT HE'S A BAD GUY OH WE'VE KILLED HIM WE NEED A DISTRIBUTOR". It's so dumb I actually can't respond logically.

Maybe I missed it, I haven't gone through this whole thread, or the other ones either.

Was it ever elaborated on regarding who warned Hank about the incoming assassination by the twins??

Is it a plot hole I missed or was I too drunk watching to show and missed who helped him?
