Maybe I missed it, I haven't gone through this whole thread, or the other ones either.

Was it ever elaborated on regarding who warned Hank about the incoming assassination by the twins??

Is it a plot hole I missed or was I too drunk watching to show and missed who helped him?

You don't need to spoiler tag a Season 3 plot question in the Season 5 thread, by the way.

To answer it, though, the warning was made on Gus' orders, most likely from Mike. He wanted the Twins out of the way and he figured that Hank would be able to handle them, not knowing that he'd have been suspended and stripped of his gun at that point.

This was all laid out by Walt an episode or two later when he met with Gus in his office at Los Pollos.

Not explicitly. Most people say mike/gus/saul.

I say it was the head DEA agent, and that he's been part of the network the whole time.

Vince Gilligan FACTUALLY CONFIRMED that the person who warned Hank was Tyrus I believe. He mentioned it on the insiders podcast.

I think that was when Walt was going to Gus's house.

Have had some busy weeks and weekends and i basically forgot to watch the mid-season "finale" BUT i just watched it and hohohooooooooo-shit that pile of money and that flashback Hank had and the expression he got!

I give ep8 a 10/10.

I like how Dewey has a picture of himself. Lol.

lol looks like Reece, holding a picture of Dewey who I guess couldn't be there?

Man, Bryan does not look like Walt at all. Looks like Hal! Crazy how different he looks in BB.
Him wearing a Hal name tag is hilarious also

Oh lol...oops

I'm racist then.

Assuming that the call to Hank came from Gus, Tyrus, Mike, or anyone else from his organization, does it really matter? In the end, it was most likely Gus' decision, so really it's his "voice".

I'm fairly positive that it was Victor/Tyrus, since Gus gave the order.

I was a late viewer of Breaking Bad, but I just finished the 8th episode of Season 5 tonight.

Fantastic.

I don't know why I never gave the show a chance much sooner, now to wait like 10 months for the next episode...

Something of a personal observation, but it feels to me that season 1 & 2 are it's own separate entities, same with seasons 3 & 4, with 5 also being its own thing.

Or to be more articulate, the first two seasons had it's own story arc with Walt starting up, his deception and slow decent to the dark side (along with establishing Jesse's character as someone who shouldn't get mixed up in this business), while the next two seasons obviously dealt with Gus's antagonism, but more specifically Walt's further decent and how it affected relationships with the people around him. Season 5 obviously is Walt's eventual rise and fall from my half-finished perspective.

Basically if BB was a series of novels, it would be divided into three books.

season 5 has been sub par but ep 7 and 8 saved it some what. Time to save the show and end it. I dont want another Dexter or Lost.
What the person below this is more eloquently and cleverly saying is that the show was announced to be ending a long, long, long time ago after the end of season 5, the next eight episodes of which are airing next summer. so your concerns are pointless.
oh, and season 5 was awesome.

in your opinion and thats fine. I am not a communist

Was just discussing BB with a coworker. Oddly, my favorite line from the entire series happened in season one.

"There's nothing but chemistry here." Loved that line/scene.
