What's the throwback? It's been so long since I've seen the past episodes.

And who started this awesome Hank meme? Where is the original? Reddit?

He asks jane "What about Us?" she responds "Us?, Whose Us?" after she snubs him when her father visits her.

(I just saw this episode yesterday)

Did I hear this right, but Aaron Paul on the inside the episode said that the next 8 hours of the show will be the final 8 episodes. So Hank is going to chase him right after he gets out the toilet without any investigation or what.

The way I see it the possibilities are:

A. The cancer is back. This, along with seeing the fruits of his labor struck a chord prompting him to retire.

B. The cancer isn't back, but going through the exam process made him remember why he got into this in the first place and what's important. He's made his money and now chooses his family.

C. The cancer isn't back, in fact he's still in remission. This confirms to Walt he truly can have his cake and eat it to. He isn't out, he's merely making Skylar believe he is.

D. The cancer is back and he wants what may be a short amount of time remaining with his kids. He isn't out but insulates Skylar to be around his family.

He gave his money to Jesse, he isn't consumed by the work anymore, and is just chilling at home. I think he's out.

But then again, I wonder about Ted, Lydia, and Heisenberg International. He'd have to off them if that were the case

It's A. You can see it in his face. Walt misses Jesse. He's bored. He did all he wanted and there's no reason to do anything now. He's satisfied his ego and played kingpin. Now the cancer is back and he wants to spend the rest of his time with his family.

So that flash forward in ep1 is the gonna be the ending of the show? Huh?

Oh, I guess they mean literally. Not 8 hours into the actual show timeline

VG: Hey, we're going to have Mike leave a note for Gomez to pick up where it says "Fuck You." You think we can have that be uncensored?
AMC: ABSOLUTELY NOT.

*fast forward 2 weeks*

VG: Hey, we're going to have a montage where 10 people are murdered systematically. Here's a preview:

VG: That cool with you guys?
AMC: Sure thing, Vince!

Boggles the mind how content censoring works in this country.

But the thing is... he originally punched it after he found out good news about the cancer. 80% reduction in the tumor or whatever.

And now he punched it because the cancer is back. He realized maintaining the empire had no point if he was just gonna die.

But of course, like John Marston, there's no going back.

So in this episode...
1) The 9 guys are taken out
2) Todd learns the process
3) The cancer is back
4) Walt is out
5) Hank knows

How did Walt get the book? Anyone know?

Can this somehow be justified? Is there a way Walt and Gale can be affiliated without it being criminal? They are both chemistry buffs so maybe they could have just been good friends? Nah, this wouldn't work since Walt already saw him on '4,3,2,1 Earth Below Us'. And Hank surely thought ''someone else entirely, right under my noise'.

Anyhow I'd like to know what you all in here think could be a possible opening for SE5EO9.

Maybe if Hank has his gun, he'll come back to the patio pointing it at Walt, telling him he's under arrest.

cat and mouse all next year...there is no proof but catching walt lying. He is just going to sit down at the table and they will have a contest of wits.

Why would he think he had to get rid of it? Did he know about the note in Gale's journal?

Didn't Hank and Walt have a conversation about the note in Gale's journal? That's what the flashback was...

And why would Walt keep anything from Gale or anyone else he killed? "Hubris" isn't convincing enough.

Wait, wasnt the first note about W.W about Walter too? I thought W.W referred to Walter White in both instances.

So in the first instance, Gale was never able to give Walter the note, but with the book, he clearly did.?

The ricin in the hat was oddly similar to arrested development with George SR using insulin in his yamaka. (I also just saw this today, lol)

it was a gift ,also walter started reading it when he was living in his condo

Hubris is a great justification actually. Did you see Walt this season? The guy wanted to incessantly feed his ego. Except now at the end, where the cancer is back to eat him up. The unlucky streak is about to start.

Everyone get off the Walt train, it's about to crash.

I know that, but didn't Hank have the book as evidence before? Isn't that what the flashback was all about?

No, Hank knows of Gale's cook book that was in Gales Apartment that the cops searched after his murder.

Different books
