Geometry Wars was my go-to podcast games. Score attack games in general. The part of my brain needed to do gameplay-only gaming and listen intently to podcasts is very different. Can't do it with any other genre of games, though.

Wish I had the time for podcasts but when you're in full time employment, investing three hours for what essentially is "what have you been playing?" seems silly. Also, nothing has ever been as good as the 1UP golden era of gaming podcasts.

Are there any decent ones out there that don't take up multiple hours? A good 40 to 60 minute podcast would be ideal.

Idle Thumbs doesn't ever go over the 2 hour mark. Usually, it's around 75 minutes.

ehhh, I find the Bombcast to be incredibly pleased with itself. The guys seem nice but the show is a bit too long IMO. I only listen to Weekend confirmed and Rebel FM for my games now. WC cos of Garnett and Jeff Cannata and Rebel FM cause of how low key and gentle it is.

The few podcasts I've listened to of Dan Carlin's hardcore history have been pretty good.

Finished S1 Prison Break, its not that i feel cheated...but i didnt like that ending, i'd have been gutted if i was watching it when it came out....waiting for the next season wouldve sucked

It was meant to be originally 13ish episodes long. You can actually see the point halfway through S1 where the producers went "This show is popular! Let's artificially extend it!"

Show was a perfect example of the American style of "let's take an interesting concept for a TV series and stretch it far too thin across 24 episodes because we want money."

Oh god yeah, was that the mumbly lispy guy? Actually listening to him and then goig back to the old 1UPYours over the holidays made me realise how devoid of personality a lot of their guests are. The old guys were controversial, they'd full on yell at each other, the show had spark. Now it's kinda the gaming equivalent of Loose Women. I still like Garnett and Jeff though.
