Morning Gaf. Did everyone enjoy their extra hour in bed yesterday?

So how was everyone's weekend? Mine turned out to be a bit of a let down and pretty quiet, but with the shitty weather that's probably not a bad thing.

I feel like absolute shit

Haven't seen Suzy since thursday because she's stayed at the yard where she works due to our horse being unwell. She was supposed to be home yesterday when I got back from Thorpe Park, but as it was Wrex's first night back out in the field, she wanted to be on-hand just in case of any issues.

On top of that, I barely slept last night because my throat was hurting. Woke up this morning full of cold, throat absolutely killing me and aching all over with a nasty headache to boot.

Considered phoning in at work, but there's so much do to that they'd be very unhappy methinks. Work is going to be so shit today.

Bleh, whinge over.

Going to fit some after markert speakers in my car door panel today, I'm such a mechanic. Reminds me of the time i had to learn how to build and fix PC's. I have a feeling messing around with cars is going to be a shitload harder.

Also going to fit a new dash when it comes.

Well I got a Lego set I wanted and managed to snag free tickets to Wreck it Ralph. So that was great.

On the flip side, my credit card needed replacing after fears it has been compromised meaning I had to reorder my WiiU thus putting me at the back of the queue. Hoping stock levels don't bugger me over since it was Sainsbury's who insisted I had to do it this way rather than simple adjust the order and I'm still waiting for Ubi to respond to my request since the product I ordered has gone up in price.

You will get a Wii U at launch. They are sending 250k to the UK and there is no way that the pre-orders are anywhere near this figure whatever Nintendo or HMV/GAME might say.

Good luck my man. I found it a shitload harder then PCs. Tried to disable the immoboliser on my car once because I was sick and tired of hearing the thing randomly go off. Cut a long story short, fucked up with the fuses, headlights wouldn't come on at some point, the car ended up having this weird glitch where it randomly doesn't start every now and then...ugh. Gave up and took it to the garage. I probably should've read the manual before I started playing around with it. But hey! there's nothing wrong with a bit of curiosity and motivation.


New guy in the office today. Got introduced to him so I look dead straight at him with a smile and reach out my hand for a handshake. He accepts my handshake but decides to stare at the carpet during the entire brief conversation we had. hmm, weird.

Going to see Skyfall at some point this week so no spoilers you guys...pweez.

Can be pretty daunting starting at a new place, especially if you're not hugely self-confident.
Just keep being friendly and most people will come out of their shells.


Skyfall spoilers: Bond almost doesn't save the day, but then Bond saves the day.

Back at work this morning after being sofa-ridden all weekend. I can just about walk now but I have the most ungodly headache, I think it's from taking the codeine all weekend. Making it very hard to get any work done! Blummin stupid body.

I've still not seen any of the Bond movies with Danny Craig. And that includes Sony giving me a free Casino Royale Blu-ray for registering on PSN back in 2006/2007.

After watching a lot of Bond movies on Taiwanese TV, I have to say that Dalton was completely underused (not really his fault due to the issues at the time.) License to Kill was a great movie. But I really am in awe of how shit most of the movies with Roger Moore are.

I've never actually been in that cinema in 5 years of living in Glasgow. Never went to the Odeon either whilst it was still alive.

Weegie pride makes me know it's the tallest cinema in the world though.

Yea, at first it was a sinus headache. Now its turned into these sharp pains and pressure.

That really sucks - I've been getting a lot of headaches over the past ... 3 years? I think it's because I don't hydrate enough. How's your diet/liquid intake?

I've still got just over an hour at work, but then it's time to go home, eat soup and deliriously watch South Park until I fall asleep. I don't think I'll last a whole episode.

Saving new Walking Dead episode for when I'm either feeling better or can take a day off so I might not fall asleep during.

Better then perfect :p.

However, to be fair I was in Marrakech since Wed and didn't get my normal intake of fruit. Which tends to be most my sugars and carbs for the day. So diet was a bit out of wack.

I have so many friends I got to see TDKR twice, with different people both times. Bow down before my social superiority.

This year for me has been terrible for social outings. I had to pull strings just make seeing Looper possible. It's sad when an entire orchestrated social event culminates in simply watching a weekday matinee and then going home.
