If so, I'd love some advice from him.
I been studying Law for 2 years now, hoping when I finish Uni, I can become a Solicitor.
Some words of advice would be strongly appreciated! I'm doing very well in Law, never dropped below a grade B in assessments, so I feel I'm capable of it.
Any information would be well appreciated.
That'd be great. I'm looking for more insight on how to approach it as a career and the necessary steps to do so.
How's Uni law, any post-training etc. etc. I'd need a good clear mind of what I'm getting in to before I set my heart on it in University.

See, now this is where it gets awkward, as I didn't actually study law at university, I studied graphic design. How I ended up where I am today, a team leader at this legal firm, is rather dull and uninteresting but I will say this; its not what you know, its who.
It's really not that exciting. I finished uni, started off doing some freelance design work. It started off fine but work died down pretty fast. I went for months without work and companies in the area were hesitant to hire people. I then bumped into one of my old school friends who is a few years older than me. He explained he was working at this fairly new legal firm in town; he managed to secure me a job as a mere telephone negotiator. I then worked my way up to where I am, without having a single degree in law.
Oh wow, I guess it'll be useful to have connections before I finish my time at Uni then.
Hm, thanks a lot, I guess I shouldn't worry too much about having to have a degree, I know there's ways without one.
A degree could still come in useful, so still apply yourself, etc, but yeah, it always helps to have contacts.
Main thing is to enjoy uni. Best years of my life.

Urgh what is it with those 'i hate people' people? They also love to put 'animals' above humans as if they don't try to destruct other species and their environments. I know a lot of people are joking, but the amount that say they'd rather save a dog than an <insert condition> person....

Porn. @projectHbooks were doing an H-manga giveaway and I was like "yeah, sure, why not, I like porn and I like free stuff". Didn't honestly expect to win though. I guess people are embarrassed about entering giveaways for porn?
Customs might be a problem though, hope they send it in a plain brown package or whatever.
Saw Gravity the other week, been considering Hunger Games Catching Fire this week. I could've gone to the midnight screening but I was like, my sleep is more important than watching the movie the exact second it comes out.
EDIT: was also considering to see Doctor Who in the cinema today but even though I'm an Unlimited member they want 5 quid for it which I thought was a bit cheeky, so I'll be watching that at home (also I don't have 5 quid right now, payday's not till Thursday). I notice both showings today are now sold out anyway.
Aaaand my Saturday begins. I'm off to see my little girl and watch CWACOM2 before lunch at McDonalds - don't sue me. Then I'm sorting my insurance out on my phone and then it's time to nerd it up at the cinema with Doctor Who which, I'm honestly surprised by, has sold out entirely.
I like some aspects of the show, not a huge fan or anything, but: An Adventure in Space and Time (dramatization of how the show started) was amazing and I cried manly tears at the end...

Menial task for me today, nofunallowed.jpeg. Housework BS, washing, taking my car to my mechanic pal to look at (I think the bearings are shot in one of the wheels) and food shopping.

Maybe it's just early, but this exchange amused me greatly! The conclusion was both blunt and unexpected.
Enjoy Musha, Gravity looks amazing, my mate saw it in IMAX 3D and said it "blew his face off". Plus, I loved Children of Men. I'll have to check it out in 3D before they stop showing it.

The fact remains, however, that if you actually want to practice law at a law firm (rather than work in a non-legal capacity at one), you'll need a law degree (either from university, or by doing the post-uni conversion course).
That's exactly what I said to my ex when she asked me if I wanted to go. 'No deal? No deal!'

When I look back at pictures 5 or so years ago during my metal phase in my mid teenage years I cringe at my dress style and appearance.
Appearance and confidence. Back when I was 16, I was awkward and shy in a new college without the confidence to approach people. I also dressed like a fucking idiot. Seeing a picture of myself and then taking one earlier to compare just seemed so weird.
I've detached myself from what I used to be so much that it's almost ridiculous.

Today's the day! I read through the last of the 50th novellas last night, brilliant story by Neil Gaiman. I've been reading some Old Republic Star Wars books I was lent and it's been a real strugggle. Trying to kill time until the special by studying, catching up on comics and GAFing. Waiting for my main OT Secret Santa PM as well, I want to get to reading through my TT's posts and shopping!
Finally got my Hawkeye OHC and second TPB of Avengers Arena too. AA's final issue is next week, manly tears will be shed.
