Been a bit glum at work this past week as I get back into the early morning routine. I could really do with a pretty girls thread. Not a hot women thread, that always ends up with massive silly wobbly bums and people posting massive pics of 18 year old eastern european porn stars wearing entirely too much pastel. Prepayment meters were introduced as a way of recovering arrears from really bad payers, basically if you didn't pay your bill for several months and didn't at least attempt to sort out a payment plan a bailiff would come round and install one. They would set it up so it would recover so much per week, so if you wanted electricity/gas you had to pay. Once the debt was repaid you could get it reset to just pay for what you used, but a lot of people kept the debt recovery as they thought it was a good way to save money. It's not, you pay more for your electricity/gas through a prepayment meter than by any other method.

Eh, I wouldn't say that. Maybe they just don't want pics of themselves ending up on someone's phone given the amount of "revenge nudes" posted online by jilted lovers. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

I've deleted sexy pics for that exact reason. Not because I want to post them online, but because I don't want naked pics of birds popping up when I'm scrolling though on my phone.

Don't know whether I mntioned that I had a second telephone interview the week before last. Was sleep deprived from Destiny during the call. Same job, 6 months contract but likely to roll over to 12, had to haggle the rate a little bit (it was up to twice my current rate an hour) and much closer to where I live.

Just got a call from the same guy, I'm getting a proper interview on wednesday. Aw yeahhhhhh, time to dig through inpenetrable pharmaceutical jargon to make it sound like I know what I'm doing.

I think the faux pas might have been telling your manager you had the interview - reminds me of a story a colleague at my placement told me where his friend took a day off to have an interview at a rival company and the reason he gave was actually 'he was having an interview'. He got fired two weeks later.

It's why people say they've got doctors/dentist appointments when really they're having an interview to move away from where they're currently working.

Actually I do that from time to time but usually to make impromptu music videos so one is muted which I watch while another piece of music is playing in the background. Can be cool, also has comic potential, Benny Hill battle scenes and whatnot.

Rarely do I try to listen to two things at once though.

Star Fruits Surf Rider by Cornelius was on two discs. One for the left and one for the right. They both sounded cool individually but put 'em together and the magic happened.

Flaming Lips had all the tracks for an album across 4 CDs. Neurosis did something similar with 2 CDs where one was the band and the other was an orchestra.

Actually I do that from time to time but usually to make impromptu music videos so one is muted which I watch while another piece of music is playing in the background. Can be cool, also has comic potential, Benny Hill battle scenes and whatnot.

I shall have to try this.

On a slow night at uni, we'd chuck on Cartoon Network or a film on mute with a random CD to get a similar effect. Acid + Prince Greatest Hits + Jurrassic Park works surprisingly well.

They have to have similar instrumentation but it can make for interesting listening if you're really really bored. Like, four piano pieces or something similar.
