BritGAF |OT6| Dark Souls? More like Arse Holes

at some point this:
"For too long, we have been saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone',"
goes from bad policy, all the way past foolish, over dangerous and just straight in to evil.

some of the policies they enact and, worse, the dialogue they purport regarding immigrants, the disabled and the poor, are evil. these are intelligent men, they are not foolish or blind to the facts, they know them, twist them and spout cancerous bile to confuse and mislead the public.

anyway hey i just played katamari forever. it is colourful and the music is lovely.
i also have a week off work starting sunday hoorah!

Though Dr. Doom would probably be more popular. Even his Doombots are less robotic.

Anyway going to see Mad Max after work, pretty hyped even though I still haven't got around to watching the originals.

Doing myself some spaghetti bolognese. I don't like the spaghetti to be too soft.

The second's really the only worthwhile one. I, too, am off to see Fury Road tonight. I'm sick as a dog but fuck it.

mad max is getting some seriously great praise. my girlfriend isn't too enamoured by the what she's seen so far but considering most are commending the film on its female characters, i'm hoping she'll enjoy it.
gonna' catch it some time next week in the ol' stupidly large imax.

Yo Bethany Sploatson, I need your help with organising the meet. What bars should we go to in the village? I don't really go there very much so I'm calling on you for guidance! You too Cheez, throw some ideas out there.

All try and get the thread up by the weekend.

Emma doesn't want to see it which makes me sad. I think it looks really spectacular.

I have a serious hype boner for the Witcher 3 now.

Which is probably the best way to acquire hype, a few days before it gets released. Like discovering your new favourite band just in time for their long awaited new album to drop.

Probably a good thing for me to put MKX to one side as well. The online play is pushing me over the edge towards going from a verbal rager to a physical rager. I also have the PS4 port of Tomb Raider to play through this weekend. I'm approaching it with my nostalgia goggles for Tomb Raider 2 firmly attached, arms folded.

I hear Lara doesn't even have a mansion in this game. Old school Lara Croft would most definitely have voted Conservative.

The Witcher 2 was one of my least favourite games of all time. I liked some stuff about it but it was basically all the parts that weren't "game."

Too much action Not enough tomb raiding. My enlightening review of Tomb Raider.

Yeah me too. Haven't watched a single trailer, preview or anything. Going into it fresh. I hope the music lives up to the highs of the first one. The only thing I know about it is that it is open world, hopefully it doesn't have the lack of focus games of that type have.

Still, more Geralt can't be bad.

Went to Roadhouse after work with some pals to see Eilidh and her lovely bar staff, had fun but man I really need to go to sleep. Been up nearly 24 hours now.

Got a taxi back with this bird Mya, she randomly throw up out of nowhere just before she got out.

Was wierd.
I guess I had a terrible childhood then :(

But then I never had a game console until I bought my own (I forget when that was but it will have been some time between 1995 and 2000, it was an original Playstation).
lol, it's got nothing to do with videogames. Ryu and Ken are both trying to dig the ball out from underneath a car with their foot after it rolled under and got lodged there.

You know, like you used to do as a kid.

No? Just me?

Inevitable waiting around before start of a three day road trip...

What ought I to do to fill the time up? Read the pending Murakami novel? Write the short I've been putting off? Watch that shark doc on Ipayer? Or make a start on Drive Club.

Hmm... choices... choices... choices.

I miss shit like this. We should have a BritGAF kickabout.

For Danj's sake if nothing else.

Oh, no, I never had that experience either.

Don't do the Drive Club thing, it's really dull. It's this ineffectual middle ground between two genres and the physics lack excitement in either direction; it has neither the poise and finesse of a sim or the balls out, knockabout fun of an arcade racer.

It's a happy medium that doesn't make me very happy.

Pretty though.
Got the job. Yussss
Yeah boi! Nice one shorty, good for you man.

Cheers everyone :) Picked up Last of Us left behind on the PS4 to celebrate. Can't wait to start working on new and exciting things instead of constant boring meetings and annoying bureaucracy.

Hi all. Not often I post in here and you all probably dont know me :) but given that, could you give me your opinion on this?

I am trying to buy a house. I have sold my flat and just need to sort out my move. The house I am talking about came on the market last Wednesday. I saw the place on Thursday and made an offer Thursday evening for asking price (I would have done the usual and offered a lot less and then negotiate back up, but the location is very sought after and houses come and go in a matter of days so I have to strike quickly).

I saw the place with no Agent present, but with a family member present. I told them that there is no issue with the chain below me, they told me likewise for their chain. So a bid at asking price, no issues with the chain, and everyone ready to go. Seems like an easy decision for them right?

I havent heard anything from them in two days since the offer. I suspect that my offer is being used as potential leverage to push any subsequent offers up.

What do you guys think? Any opinions/thoughts much appreciated. Ta :)

Sorry dude no idea :-(

Nooooooooo D:

But I got the entire game on PS3 :) I'll pick up a cheap second hand PS4 copy someday. Btw, how complicated is this US psn account trick?

It's pretty much as complicated as setting up a UK account, super-easy.

You just give them a US address when you sign up and Bob's your uncle.

Anyone dealt with PC Specialist before? Looking at getting an ultrabook built by them at some point, just interested if anyone can attest either way to the quality of their products?

Cheers everyone :) Picked up Last of Us left behind on the PS4 to celebrate. Can't wait to start working on new and exciting things instead of constant boring meetings and annoying bureaucracy.

Awesome, congratulations! Glad that it's something more interesting for you!

Is Mad Max worth seventeen pounds? That's how much it'll cost me to see it on iMax, it's a crazy amount of money but I've heard it's 100% The Way To Watch The Film.

Are you sure that's not LieMax?

Probably. It's at the Odeon so I imagine it's as cheaply put together an "iMax" experience as there is, but it's still gotta be better than a normal screen, right?

And DVD.

EDIT: According to Wikipedia, the Kingston "iMAX" is the smallest one in the whole UK :lol

imax is fucking great, so yes. it is literally the MAXIMUM form of cinema that has ever existed. it is film taken to the MAX. it is a movie amplified to MAXIMUL loudness and eyeballery.
every other version of cinema is a shrivelled husk of shit compared to the godlike immensity of IMAXIMUS, the greek deity of film.

That does sound good.

Now I'm tempted to go to the proper BFI one in London and see it there, which will cost about thirty quid with travel costs. I think that probably is a bit much for a film.

Including flights from Dublin to Glasgow and then Glasgow to Switzerland it cost me about 250 quid. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Just grabbed this. Less than a tenner for one of the finest games ever made? Sold!

So much for me being against digital versions of boxed games, I now have TLOU:R, BF4 Premium, NFS Rivals, Sleepy Dawgs, inFamous: First Light and Injustice on my hard drive, damn sales! To be fair the last two were free and the others cost about £50 all in.

I'm going to get rid of Driveclub (dull), Watch Dogs (OK, but I'll probably never get around to it) and CoD:AW (finished the campaign, would rather play Destiny or Battlefield multi) today, might see if I can pick up Bloodborne or maybe GTA5. I said I'd skip Bloodborne but I'm a glutton for punishment!
