Broforce - a frenetic arcade shooter, play as your favorite action movie heroes

Old art style was wayyyy better imo. Getting sick of pixel art games. But I think with the new style they're safer from getting shut down.
 
So it seems that Broforce is coming to consoles

Broforce brings the shock and awe as gamers across the globe take control of an under-funded, over-powered paramilitary organization dealing exclusively in excessive force. Stroke your MURDER-BONER™with up to four friends, locally and online, in non-stop, explosive run ‘n’ gun action and eliminate the terrorist forces that threaten our way of life. Adapt your tactics as you select bros from a massive roster of true 80’s and 90s action heroes, each with unique weapons and abilities. Set off incredible chain reactions of fire, napalm and limbs in the name of freedom. Then, as the dust settles, face off against each other in one of many competitive modes. Finally gain closure by answering important life questions that have been keeping you up at night: who would win in a flex-off between the Brominator and Brobocop?

In addition to the campaign and multiplayer modes in Broforce, more creative bros will be able to use the level editor to create and share their own custom playgrounds of destruction just to watch their friends tear it apart in the name of freedom and democracy.

Still waiting for Rooks Keep and Toxic Bunny HD to have their day on Steam.

Wonder how far Runestorm is with the Rooks Keep steam release, been dying to play that game online.

So far I only had a quick offline LAN session with it.

Yeah I see what you mean, with the 2D pixel style, the multi-tiered levels, large groups of enemies, and platforming/shooting. But in some ways, Broforce might be harder than RoR, because you die in one hit and have to worry about the environment being destroyed, etc. Of couse, on the flip side, you're also pretty overpowered and most enemies die in a few shots.

But the game is actually more strategic than you might think. Rushing into a room shooting will probably just get you killed more often than not; it's usually better to approach from a different angle or drop an explosive in from above or take out the floor beneath their feet.

Great OP, bought the game based on it alone and haven't been disappointed so far (although I encountered some serious slow-down on a couple of the more intense levels). My favourite character is MacGuyver, so far, as he plays so drastically different from every other character in the game.

ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!

They're well lubricated. For impatient, rampaging bros, you can now arrive in the middle of the next mob of terrorists in half the time.
 
Well after playing through the demo, I am hooked! Pre-ordered right away, because although everything can get chaotic at times, the levels still seem well-crafted and never lazy.
 
I backed this a while ago and played one of the early betas. It was really fun. It's been updated a lot since then. I can't wait for the Steam release!
