The IP is better than nothing, we're having a conversation about it and it might actually become Fabraz's best selling game just because of Bugsy's "star power". Had it been Slime-san 3D few would care. Same thing happened with Beyond the Ice Palace 2 which released earlier this year. They slapped the name of a 35 year old game on it in the hopes it would sell better.I don't understand. Bubsy 3D is the face of shitty, early 3D platformers. Why on Earth would you bring back this franchise?
One of my friends texted me complaining about getting this instead of more Rayman or Mega Man and... yeah, I'm with him.
It's the best they can do with a team of 2-8 people and a shoestring budget. If I had a say, I would approach the material super cereal and not even give the audience a 4th wall wink.I like the way they break the fourth wall, and lean into the franchise's perception of dubious quality. The game clearly isn't taking itself seriously, but it could still be good for a few laughs.
Even the publisher itself is engaging in a little self-deprecating humor.
"Atari? I didn't even know they were still around!"
No! It's never been more alive!
