BURNOUT REVENGE XB360!

Has it been confirmed that $59 will be the new standard MSRP of 360 games?

The question is: will it be a simple port?

Uh.. thats what I was gonna post.
You people are wayyyy too quick :D

No, it has not been confirmed. Keep in mind, that EB charged $50 to pre-order any DS games, when they turned out ot be only $30 a pop.

W00T, is it for launch? If so consider another X360 sold. I want the best version of this game, and X360 can do that for me (best controller for racers, custom ST, XBL) :D

Also, isn't Black rumored for X360?

will people buy ports from current gen games still at playstation 3 launch??? :lol
Why aren't you banned yet? That's a far more interesting question than your weak troll attempt.

ha ha ha - i like you...really :lol

sorry,, but i want real next gen games, not ea ports from current gen games. because you may have better textures, better effects, but the core gameplay will be the same - will be current gen.

but because i like you, i will buy a xbox360 at launch. :lol

This is EA we are dealing with here. They will port all their Xbox 360 launch games to PS3. All they care about is $$$ so don't expect Burnout 5 or SSX 5 for PS3 launch.

Okay, the only thing keeping me from buying porn was its high cost. If games cost as much as porn, then that decision is going to be a lot harder to make.

The idea of Burnout Revenge on 360 is mind blowing.

I can imagine trying to snake thru dozens of cars on screen and I would image the explosions and particle effects would be sumptous.

I just hope that Criterion put some effort into it and it isn't a quick and dirty port.

do you really think, ea will make such an extra effort for a version that is not going to sell like ps2/xbox versions? i dont think so...

Your assuming they are going to spend extra money on the 360 version.

I'd expect cleaner textures and a better framerate. Along with 720p support. What your talking about would require actual work by EA.

Well they are spending all that money on Madden and other next-gen sports titles even though it's going to be on a system with a fraction of current userbases. It's called progression, EA wants to rule next-gen, and starting off with a bang is the best way to do it (it sure helped this this gen). There's still a chance that EA would put money into this port, wait and see.

Better framerate? Have any of the BOs had any problem maintaining a solid 60fps?

Maybe its just me, but I think they use blurring to make it seem faster then it is. The framerate is certainly solid either way.

hopefully Pedigree Chum is right, and there is more than better textures and higher resolutions.

Honesly though I'm basing my pruchase based on how much of an improvement B4 X360 is over current gen consoles. There's also a good chance that EA won't really put much money into it as it's not a huge franchise (yet), not even close to the likes of Madden and NFS. We'll see what happens, but I hope it's a good upgrade...else I'll wait for a true next-gen Burnout.

Are you confusing framerate with the actual speed of the cars? The blur there to increase the sense of speed of the car.

I'm not paying $59 on principle. I don't care what's in the game. I've waited many times this gen for price drops and I'll do the same. Xbox launch I picked up 4 games. If all games are $59 at X360 launch then I'll pick up 1 game max and that game will be my only $59 game purchased next gen.

I will pay $55-60 for next gen games if I have to... but i will not spend $59 on upgraded ports. I dunno if i can hold back on the definitive version of burnout though. :O :O :O I love this series.

Don't care if it's identica lto Xbox version...as long as they put that extra power into 16 player Xbox live for 360 :D

Why are people thinking this will be a straight port when none of the other games EA has announced for the 360 are?

I'll believe it when they announce it. Right now it is most likely a mistake on EB's part.

I was at E3, and while playing Burnout Revenge, the attendee there hinted that they were working on a new Burnout game for Next Gen. "New" being the key word there. I then asked what next gen system it was for. He informed me that he couldn't let that info out. Right after that however he asked, "Have you seen the PS3 theater yet? Pretty cool huh?" Coincidence.... maybee... maybee not...

i'll go with coincidence, since I cant think of any reason EA would suddenly switch from their "Everythings multiplatform if at all possible" stance

I'm personally not ready for another Burnout yet. Just a year after the last one, and the fourth this gen... I got tired of Takedown about a third of the way through, and I was so looking forward to it.

Can they even make Burnout Revenge look better? The game looks awesome as it is.

Everything cleaned up for the 720p mininum spec alone is worth the $10 premium over the Xbox/PS2 versions. More cars and such on screen at a time is just a bonus.

If Burnout Revenge was a confirmed 360 launch game, I will pass on the XBox version.

Somehow, I sort of doubt it will. :(

I would gladly eat crow though. :D

When a current generation game comes out on multiple platforms, people routinely say that they will buy the "best-looking version," which seems to be a fairly uncontroversial opinion. (Usually, that system has been the Xbox, but there have been some exceptions.) In this case, you might have a game coming out for multiple platforms, and one of them happens to be Xbox 360....yet, all of a sudden, "buying the version which looks best" isn't the obvious choice? That's pretty damn funny.

So you're claiming that for something to be truly "next-gen," despite MASSIVELY upgraded graphics, there has to be something essentially different about the gameplay? If so, what is your definition of "next-gen gameplay?"

Or holograms.
