"Even if he stumbles and messes up -- and he's had his share of stumbles and gaffes -- I just think God's blessing is on him."

These are the loons that will get Bush back into office.

Letting over 1000 troops die is a little more than "stumbling" or "messing up"

And, yeah, I agree with that too.

Bush will just say "Nope, I didn't ever say that." Btw, this quote terrifies me:

"Even if he stumbles and messes up -- and he's had his share of stumbles and gaffes -- I just think God's blessing is on him,"

Stumbles and gaffes are things actors do while shooting a sitcom. *Sigh*

You know, I don't know why the right wingers are defending him so much. He hasn't done us any good in these last four years, I get chewed out by relatives who are for him and I just don't understand, a lot of what they say isn't true (I.E. Kerry wanting to re-enstate the draft, as opposed to Bush). But one thing, I live in a very conservative area where in 2000 there were no Gore signs, now there's probably one Kerry sign for every two Bush signs, which is a drastic improvement. I really feel that Pennsylvana (where I live) will be won by Kerry.

I'm beyond pissed. I got pissed a year ago. Now it just makes me sick, especially knowing that he has an extremely good chance of being our President until 2008. I'm going to have to put up with his bullshit until I'm 25. Disturbing.

Did anyone see the Daily Show last night.

Bush at rally:

"We're not going to have an all volunteer war!"

*wonders why there's no applause then looks up into the crowd"

"Oh we're going going to have an all volunteer war!"

I assume this was fake?

It's an insult to people of faith who are opposed to the war. It really is.

Well hey, if Pat Robertson says the President said all that, it must be true... right?

It would have to be highly likely, why would someone as pro-Bush as him make that up?

pat robertson is pro-bush??

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/07/11/national/main562915.shtml

(CBS) Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson accused President Bush of “undermining a Christian, Baptist president to bring in Muslim rebels” by asking Liberian President Charles Taylor, recently indicted for war crimes, to step down.

“How dare the president of the United States say to the duly elected president of another country, 'You've got to step down,'" Robertson said Monday on “The 700 Club,” broadcast from his Christian Broadcasting Network.

“It's one thing to say, we will give you money if you step down and we will give you troops if you step down, but just to order him to step down? He doesn't work for us.”

Robertson, a Bush supporter who has financial interests in Liberia, said he believes the State Department has “mismanaged the situation in nation after nation after nation” in Africa.

“So we're undermining a Christian, Baptist president to bring in Muslim rebels to take over the country,” he said in the broadcast.

Pat Robertson is for Pat Robertson, always has been.

Are you serious? The troops died because of terrorists shooting at them, not because Bush said die you scum.

Also, you shouldn't presume that anyone "let" them die, they died in the line of duty.

Robertson, a Bush supporter

I'm saying he's usually conservative supporting conservative canidates. I guess saying "Pro Bush" is different than just being a "Bush supporter".

It's always nice to hear someone on the right wing actually criticize Bush though.

Pat is a TV carny, nothing more and still bitter from his election run where he still believes he deserves it and now with his 8+million dollar diamond mine investment up in smoke because taylor left. The statement itself sounds goofy enough from Pat and flies in the face of statements made by President Bush that there would be deaths. But if anyone wants to use Pat Robertson as a credible source, go for it.

But the man did turn away Hurricanes twice from hitting carolina/virginia.

But really, this is a very interesting revelation of Robertson. I want to hear what Bush has to say on the whole matter.

But now that I think about it, he could simply lie (again) and deem it as an "exaggeration."

Article is here. Considering who's reporting it I have no reason to doubt the apparent delusion under which Bush was living.

At least Bush has company in his delusional world

"I mean, the Lord told me it was going to be A, a disaster, and B, messy," Robertson said. "I warned him about casualties."

I'm sure "the Lord" told him:lol

So The Lord told Robertson one thing, and The Lord told Bush another. Man, how will this ever be reconciled?

(With a steel cage fight to the death, that's how...)

Did the Bush slip up there remind anyone else of the Simpsons Halloween episode where Kang goes something like.

Kang: Abortions for all
*crowd*: BOO
Kang: Abortions for none.
*crowd*: BOO
Kang: Abortions for some .... miniature american flags for others.

It just clicked like that for me.

Um, dude, Bush did actually say "bring it on" to anyone that wants to oppose the US Military presence in Iraq.

He went from saying there would be no casualties and now they are at 1000. Yet people forgive him for it. Bill Clinton cheats on his wife and people still won't let it go. Fundamentalist loons never fail to amaze me. Cheating on wife = bad (and it is), but they never, ever get over it. Sending kids to a war to get killed over a lie = understandable. This is one reason why they never fail to amaze me.

Damn, I wonder what Bush's "at the ranch" belt buckle says. Probably says something like "God bless the USA, and no place else."

Edit - Head of State represent.

Bush is a dick. He seriously needs to think about other countries. Yes, he needs to put the U.S. as #1 but he needs to consider how this is going to affect other countries as well.
