I think it's kind of dumb but I think it's a comfort thing. I think the user will see the bright orange notification before coming back in here and looking for the response in the actual thread.

Ouch. Sorry to upset, but I do it just in case there is an issue with my PM being sent/received. I wouldn't say it is calling dibs as I'm not planning on buying every game and I never specified which ones in my post, but it's just a helpful heads up is all.

Sometimes people report not getting PMs they've been sent, is the rationalization I've seen for it. If it's a "dibs" thing I'd prefer if people don't quote the entire post instead of just whatever they were PMing about.

I was thinking the same thing too.

Mobile seems to have issues with PMing from time to time, and people can still browse threads, and what not without having a PM alert on their account.

And of course, the public "dibs" thing too I'm guessing, which I can see happening.

Don't see a huge problem with it myself though.

I see. Believe me, I realize it's firmly in nitpicking / "relax, old man" territory. Not trying to single you out, either. Seems to be increasingly popular and figured I'd put it out there.

Maybe send the PM twice if you think they won't get it the first time?

Jesus, take your grandpa pills. Mobile is not reliable for sending PMs.

Sending it twice is not an assured solution either. You never get error messages on Mobile.

I don't mind the "PM sent" thing, except when someone quotes an entire list with dozens of pictures just to say they sent a PM. Remove everything except what you PMed about, or at least edit out the list and pictures and write it in yourself or something.

To make this not a shit post...

Selling off some original Xbox stuff - hoping to sell it in a bundle if you find a bare console and need the essential stuff.

Xbox Controller S - bought this very recently, it's in fantastic condition, practically brand new I'd argue, but I seriously fucked my console and... well, let's say I'm done with it for now and have to deal with 360 BC.

Component cables, 3rd party - these have worked great, no issues with the quality on my TV and the cable itself feels well made if that helps.

Splinter Cell - you can use this to softmod your console if you have the save files. I don't have a memory card otherwise I'd sell that too so you'd have a kit but the base game is about $5 or so, figured I'd put it up here. Complete, disc and manual are there, not platinum hits.

For prices, I'd do $20 shipped for everything, $15 shipped for the controller, $8 shipped for the cable and... well, if you NEED Splinter Cell send me an offer.

I also have some controller breakaway cables, some composite cables, and another Controller S that has a fucked right stick. Could be fixable but I don't know. PayPal only please!

Toshiba 3.5" 1TB HDD gutted from a prebuilt I'm making a build out of. It's practically brand new and only has a few days of power on time. I would just keep it myself but since this is a build for someone else I want to recoup some of the cost from the drive and put it back to their budget. $30 shipped? It was either this or the DVD drive and I thought the SSD I put in was more than enough for this thing, should have done more research and found I only get two SATA ports... oh well hehe.
