I've never used twitch drops before, how do you know if you earned it when the stream is on?

They go under “drops and rewards” on twitch

That article claims they didn’t say how long you need to be tuned in to get them but it was 4hrs.

I just think it would be helpful to have a blueprint for the prestige stuff

Definitely shows this game is out. Me and my son with his friends kept owning and did 4 top 1 in 5 games yesterday in fornite lol

We win about 1 out of 5 normally

I don't fucking understand zombies at all. Why do they complicate this shit.

Shoot zombies
Sometimes they drop essence
Use essence to unlock paths
Use essence to buy wall or mystery guns
Keep shooting until you get an exfil?
...this is how zombies has always been, nothing has been complicated?
Zombies never drop essence, you get it immediately as you kill them, do you mean salvage?
Essence can be used to open paths, buy perks at perk machines, wall buys, traps, and most importantly, pack your gun at the pack-a-punch.
Salvage is for upgrading your gun rarity and elemental ammo at a gun upgrade machine, and buying gear at a workbench.

Should I play all the 5 Black Ops games before playing the campaign of this one?

'Cause if so, oof
Nah that would be like watching all the fast and furious movies back to back. Youd be fucking sick by the end of it.

Cold war was pretty good and short if you already have it, but id say just watch the recap and dive in.

Wtf is a gobble gum?

I thought after coming to mwiii zombies it would go back to the early games with boarding up shit.

I hit a point where my gun is shit and I can't upgrade it because im lacking upgrade mats, and no one extracts either which makes it more frustrating. I usually get to blue then am a few hundred short of purple.

I have bought it on the PS5 but as I have a series X and game pass anyway plus my tv has the game pass app I thought I would try out the streaming through it for the hell of it.

For reference I’m on a gigabit connection in the UK and my tv is wired to the router, firstly I tried the first campaign mission only and regular was pushing the boundaries of my tolerance, hardened or veteran as a serious play through would likely result in a broken controller, then I tried the multiplayer and frankly you would have to be nothing short of mentally disabled to even considers this, I went 0-32 🤣.

The more I play mp, the more impressed I am with the gameplay.
Hardcore is perfect and handsdown the best COD experience, imo.
Movement feels amazing and the way you automatically peak gives it a real smooth feel. And the small details in animations are top-tier, like the way an enemy drops in front of you as he gets flanked and shot in the head by one of your teammates.

And as I said that graphics looked mediocre, somehow I think they're actually kinda impressive at times when I play on PS Portal instead of my OLED.🤷🏾‍♂️

I can see myself spend way more time playing this than I did with MW3.
And I didn't like Blops 1-5 at all.

Fully addicted to the Zombies mode and surprisingly more addicted to Liberty Balls than Terminus. With PHD Flopper Liberty Falls is like a giant playground.

How does this campaign compare to MW 2019? That was the nest COD campaign in forever to me. If it is really good I will but thus today.

Good set pieces, atmosphere and sound?

Campaign only. This is awesome! Why can’t they hand Halo over to these guys? Not a single Halo has been on this level in a campaign or the feeling of shooting or anything.

Only real complaint I have is that there are too many guns and I don’t know anything about guns so I can’t quickly decide if I should swap or stay with what I already have.

And they need to stop bothering me about going to a checkpoint when I’m searching an area for cash loot. Chill.

Gobblegoms are limited use items, they were introduced with black ops 3, but there they were basically pay 2 win items, treyarch removed them for subsequent games.
They are now back for blops6 but no longer pay 2 win, instead you earn them just by playing, they are still single use, so always check out your gobblegom "deck" before starting a game so you don't head out without any available. You can get one of your equipped deck by activating a gobblegom machine.

And really zombies hasn't been about just "boarding up“ since the first one in WaW, blops 1 dlc maps were already pretty much the same as everything that came after it.

Upgrading your gun with salvage is secondary, since the multipliers are lower, I think a 1.33 multiplier per rarity level, you need to pack your gun for the most damage, packing costs 5k, 15k. 30k essence per level.

So i have played and completed 2 Call of Duty campaigns

Call of Duty 2 on 360 -was bored by the linear onrails design

Call of Duty 4 on 360 -
was bored by the linear onrails design

Then i quit cod

Now with this being on gamepass i am now about half way through the campaign…

…. And it is still the same game i played on 360 - with some light addons such as more stealth, dialogue options and a hub

I am still bored by the on rails campaign. Jump on a motorcycle - ”on rails” of course. Go through a combat area and turn the ”wrong” way - ”return to mission area”

And this is part 6 of just one cod spin off series? How can you cod players NOT be bored?

I am bored by the design and my last cod was on 360..

COD 2 was great. C’mon.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
The Iraq mission in the campaign is so good, a much better version of an open-world slice than anything MW3 tried to do. It kinda feels like a small little Halo Sandbox area.

Don't be silly, the game had a ton of new maps and most of them were great to amazing; they released my personal fav, drive thru, this season.
You can spot someone who actually played MWIII a mile away.

Hopefully we get similar support this year, and maybe for year 2.

The best maps in MWIII were not the remastered ones.
I can’t wait to uninstall MW3, but still want to eek out some more cod points from the battlepass.

The only maps I actually enjoyed were Meat, Stashhouse, Scrapyard, Rio, Das Haus, Skidrow, Vista and Yard.

The rest were all kinds of meh and I won’t miss them!

All good maps.

No 6 Star love? Drive thru?

I know Terminal is remastered but that played great as well amongst others.

I found most of the seasonal maps decent to great to be honest.

I haven't played CoD in a long time and have limited space on my Series X. What do I need to install to be able to play Zombies mode?
I'm installing the campaign and MP parts right now

That will do it. Don't need the campaign I don't think if you are really pushed.

Thx, I installed it anyway and will uninstall once I playthrough it. Was a little worried because it initially say 400+GB, but then realized I could pick and choose.
Didn't install any of the MWIII content

Amazing how people memory holed the FUD clickbait saying BLOPS6 took up 300GB a couple of months ago.

I didn’t play 6 star enough to form a good opinion of it. I started settling more for small map moshpit. Drive thru was decent, but my old man eyes struggle on night time maps. Plus the noise that carousel made did my head in 😂

But you’re right, none of the seasonal maps were offensive. I >>really<< liked Meat, and the Mad Cow variant.

This was from the GamePass description. Thankfully, you're able to only install the content you want. I'm guessing with all of the various MWIII, CoD 6 and Warzone stuff, it might be over 400GB.
I wonder if it can be shrinked further since I only play on a 1440p monitor

I was a complete CoD nut till about MW3 (the original) but stopped after that. So it kinda surprised me that I could jump back in after this long and actually do pretty well. I love the fact they still have the thing where if you kill somebody you’ll sometimes hear them bitching about it right after lol.

A tip if going for mastery camos in MP.
Play hardcore and filter to one playlist. Its at the bottom of hardcore "Hardcore Face Off Moshpit".
Its small maps only and no scorestreaks. You can rack up the headshots quickly in there.

Hardcore sucks but its the closest to Shipment for now.

COD just doesn't do it for me anymore. Not surprising after what, 20 years? The good ol' "rank up and unlock new shit" kick is gone. Not refreshing, just boring now.

It had a bit of a rough start, but they've done a pretty good job with the hub. Like 6 full SP campaigns, MP suites and even Warzone accessible from a single launcher.

You missed out on the franchise's best campaign: Infinite Warfare (a shame then that everything else about that entry was subpar).
