I'm in the southwest area of Ohio. I'm hardwired to 8 port switch and use Time Warner as an ISP with a 50/5 connection. When I use the internal Xbox test I get like a 100ms ping but I believe it's trying to hit the servers at MS on the west coast. Locally when I ping on any of my PC's or wireless tablets, I get around a 10ms ping, which you would expect.

At any rate ,it's rally annoying and I don't know what to do about it. Is there a way to choose a sever? If I remember on Titanfall I could choose what server I wanted to connect to based on the ping rate.

Just finished the campaign and it was horrible. First time I didn't enjoy a COD campaign. Story was nonsense, last act was atrocious, dialogue was so bad and repetitive, main voice actor incredibly bad and dull etc etc. Why the hell is this game called Black Ops 3? There's no connection to the other Black Ops games except 2 small references in dialogues.

If anyone feels like they had a rollback restart your PS4, for some reason leaving it in rest mode all night fucked things up. After the restart I got back my missing camo and started earning cryptocurrency again. Odd bug.

I get 100ms on that stupid microsoft ping test as well its definitely hitting servers out west. Maybe you are connecting to different servers and I agree about titanfall I had flawless connections in that game. unfortunately no way to choose server or even see if you are on a dedi.

Im still seeing players ahead of me but its not as bad as advanced warfare. One night the game plays great then last night I had a few games that felt like im behind everyone so I just shut it off and played fallout. But my ping is mostly consistent in the 30ms range.

I hope you figure out whats going on. I would bet you are getting matched in mostly p2p games and on dedis when you play with your brother.

Game got laggy on me after I gave it all that praise. It might be because Treyarch's servers are stressed from all of the people playing, so i'll give it time to see if it gets better. It's still more playable than Advanced Warfare for me though.

Holy shit is the laser sight good on SMGs. The Weevil anyways. Guess that makes up for normal hip fire being just kinda meh on everything except the Vesper.

Are there any ranked matches or what not where you get a rank or something? Like Halo, where you play a couple games and then get ranked.

WTF? I left my system in rest mode (always do), but I didn't suspend BLOPS3. I'll power cycle the PS4 when I get home.

Four missions done on Realistic. That last fire fight of the level kept glitching on me and I
would find myself inside the room with the objective to hack the console on the other side of an impenetrable door. If I kept suiciding myself with a grenade, occasionally the game would roll back my auto save until I was on the proper side of the door.

I had to do that maybe a dozen times in the course of last night. :(

I don't think you actually get ranks, but isn't the "competitive mode" that's kinda like ranked the "Arena" mode?

As selfish as this sounds, I'm sad more and more people are using the Vesper and realizing it's a pretty good gun! I thought it was going to be safe from being nerfed because everyone seemed to be using the VMP instead (assuming that it is if it becomes really popular)... I guess it'll only be a matter of time. Been using the Vesper since the beta and was happy to see it still kicked ass in the final game. If you can handle the recoil and equip ext. mags with it, then you'll mow down anything close to medium range. I think my ratio with that gun is 3.2kd just running around with it in TDM. People have raged and even asked me what gun I was using because it kills so quick. I only use the Kuda (big maps) and Vesper (small maps). I feel like a slug with AR in this game.

I was watching a vid, and the pre game setup seems wayyyy too long.

I wish theyd just ban a common set of things automatically for each game instead and skip right to the specialist picks

Funnily enough,there is one in the campaign!

edit: I have been having some really good rounds with the burst assault rifle on maps that have good lanes set up.
Two bursts will kill and even one burst can if you headshot.
You are utterly fucked in close combat though,haha

Treyarch has released a new Game Settings Update for Black Ops 3 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Game Settings update work as a hot fix. When a new Game Settings Update goes live, you will see a pop up showing that you have to download something within the game – not a full patch update.

Version number should be 33.12.15.1 (may vary a little by platform).

Here’s the following that has changed, which was announced on The Race stream:

-Spawn changes in FFA and Gun Game
-Arena mode:
Banned items that should be restricted will still be restricted, but attachments are not working. Needs a patch for that.
-Anti-Up issue has been fixed
-Issues with some challenges have been fixed
-Bad ADS views with kill counter and/or clan --tags put on weapon have been fixed
-Increased the amount of score you get in Search & Destroy. Match bonus was only being displayed, but you were actually getting full amount. Full number should be showed now.
-XP earned per kill in Search and Destroy has increased from 250 to 500.
-Zombies: fixed issue where solo games were joinable

Treyarch has stated that they won’t be issuing patch notes for all of the Game Settings Updates, as many are minor and are back end stuff. They are committed to bringing more fixes. Vahn says to count on a lot of version changes.

Vahn said its too early for weapon changes, but they have heard feedback about weapons, including the Gorgon LMG. They will announce details when they have info on their plans for future updates.

I have been playing solo since I switched to the ps4 and I had to turn the game off last night because every game the players in the lobby just avoided the OBJ.

I dont understand how people are so bad at the game. its way more effective to get kills and capture flags you get so many points. camping for streaks is slow and doesn't help the team at all. Trying to keep a 2kd and carry the obj by myself is so frustrating (currently stuck around a 1.93kd overall).

if any one is looking for people to play with on ps4 I always push the obj. Im in ohio so I would prefer to play with people in my region midwest/east cost. PSN ID is crocodileslogic just mention gaf and ill add you. I'm down to grind some arena as well.

does this game have clan support at all?

I haven't played the campaign yet, but it seems like Infection paves the way for a ton of crazy maps. I hope we see more off the wall stuff like that in new multi maps.

Unless I glossed over other posts mentioning this, then this is the first time I'm hearing it. You sure? I can't help but to feel like that's the go-to excuse for people who aren't good at the game. Not to say it isn't a valid excuse, but hell, I used to say it in the past and I didn't even know how to identify it in most instances, unless it was right in my damn face like with Black Ops 1.

I saw this so many times last night that I just assumed they were all engaging in some strategy I didn't know about and I was the chump for standing on the points and getting shot in the head because everyone else would run past the point. I mean, I'm still a chump because I'm getting killed at the point and I guess not setting up a good defensive position, but you know what I mean.

Though that said, it doesn't look like multiple people on the point actually caps it any faster, unlike Battlefield/TF2?

It does cap it quite a bit faster. 3 people on the point cap it super quick compared to 1 guy.

It's either that or the death cams are completely inaccurate, I wish I had Shadowplay to show some of the bullshit I've experienced.

kill cams are never 100% accurate.
I would not trust them for more than "this is how he saw me"

Any thoughts on the ICR-1? I'm using it along with overkill and a pump shotgun and I'm having pretty good results. Trying to level it up and get FMJ for it, I think the extra damage could make it a beast.

My go to ICR-1 utilizes High Caliber, Grip and Stock. I'll also just run it with High Caliber and the P-06 sniper... love the combo.

It's actually fairly easy to get with Seraph.

Requirements:
- Must use the Overclock perk
- Must use UAV, Care Package and Counter UAV for scorestreaks
- Must use Combat Focus ability

1. Get 4 kills so you're at 400 points (100 points away from your first scorestreak)
2. Activate Combat Focus and get at least 1 kill with it active
3. Repeat once more
4. Trophy/achievement unlocked

Does the grip make a noticeable difference? I've been running quickdraw on it instead because it's accuracy is already so high.
