I got the final kill cam for the first time and was so happy. XD

I'm still a noob with about a 0.75 ratio, but I'm learning more and more and getting better. I'm starting to realize my mistakes. Some lessons I've learned are....

Don't be afraid to aim from the hip - In close quarters, using and extra half-second to aim down the sights will more than likely get you killed.

Change classes based on maps - I LOVE my Haymaker on maps, but there's some maps like the open farm map "Fringe" where a ranged weapon is much more essential.

Don't stress - Often when I get into a stressful match, I'll accidentally grip the right thumbstick too tight and press melee when the enemy isn't close enough and get killed. I need to learn to keep relaxed.

If you can't lead, Follow. - I try to stay close to other team members not just to support them, but if they get shot first, I can see where the enemy is and hopefully get the jump on them.

Anyone else have some good tips?

- Although the unlimited sprint is nice, don't abuse it. You still should be checking corners, and not sprint where action usually happens on a map.
- Find loadouts that suit your game, and not others. You can look online to find popular guns that you might like, but its always better to try them yourself. I'm not a fan of the popular VMP, but I like the less popular Weevil for instance. You can always go in bot mode and test stuff out.
- Radar is your best friend. Lots of people don't use silencers (rightfully so) and ghost; at least for now. Checking the mini map every few seconds helps a lot.
- If you hurt an enemy, and he runs around the corner/behind something, don't chase. Chances are you'll sprint to far, and he'll have the first shot on you. Throw a stun/grenade, and try to flank. Or just wait him out.
- A personal rule of thumb, since I mostly play Ground war is there will always be 2. If you kill someone, don't sprint/reload right away. Wait a couple seconds, as I have found there's usually another guy that comes out.

Done with Gold for the Vesper, which was the last I needed for Diamond. Doesn't look too great. Not going to bother with Diamond for anything else because I only use SMGs.

so pharo's range has definitely been nerfed pretty badly. yesterday I could get long shots with 2-3 carefully aimed bursts, now it's basically worthless beyond mid-range :/

sucks because I really liked how versatile it was. dunno why they nerfed it, I don't even recall anyone complaining.

The is the first CoD where I actually prefer Hardcore modes over normal (aside from SnD). Strange. Also the MR6 (pistol) is absolutely lovely and everyone should use pistols more.

Yeah if you're playing Hardcore then pistol is no problem. Quite the opposite otherwise.

ICR-1 with Grip, Stock, and Quickdraw is damn good.

Trying to force myself to play through the campaign but fuck, I can't. It's just feels so unpolished with the wonky AI, terrible framerate/30fps cutscenes and sound design. Seriously, what the hell did they do to the audio? Overall volume is super low, sounds downright missing at times, atrociously unbalanced mixing. Why do explosions sound so piercing and sharp? How come the reload sound is louder than actual gunfire? So terrible.

Do you have the numbers anywhere? Either way, they aren't balanced at all. One gravity spike is at BEST worth 2-3 kills (very rare), where a good Purifier will give you at best 10-15.

With how many purifiers I have killed while they were killing me or the brief time I tried it, it wouldn't surprise me if the average kills is between 0 to 4. Not the 10-15 that you're talking about.

Also, other Specialists weapons can get tons of kills if used right, would that make them too OP?

This release make Battlefield 4 one look flawless. One week later and the game are still completely unplayable on PS4 due to rubberbanding, lagspikes and broken all around. Complete utter bullshit. Fuck this game and fuck Treyarch. Last piece of crap i'll ever buy from that shitty company.

I'm in the Netherlands, am level 48 and I've had one laggy match. Rest were flawless. Weird that people have such different experiences.

Runs fine on my PS4, are there other factors involved?

It's been running pretty good for me. I play on ps4 too. I've experienced lag maybe two times and I've already played about 20 hours.

Yes! That last rule. I'm used to dominating to hell and back on older Call of Duty games, but it's been more difficult for me in Advanced Warfare and this game as well. Not sure why. But there is ALWAYS a second person, and I reload like a madman, getting myself killed.

If anyone wants to add me, my PSN is TACKYTACTICS.

Actual gameplay has been pretty much perfect for me, maybe one lag spike in 9 hours of multilayer. Have had issues with friends trying to join and not being able to, requires a game and sometimes console restart. That can be pretty annoying.

Yea. Same here. Only encountered lag once. No disconnects, either.

PS4 Version:

- I've had multiple games where everyone in the lobby had red or yellow ping.
- I've had many game crashes. Well over a dozen at this point.
- Joined games with my party and we were split onto opposing sides
- Frequently been in lobbies with too many players (15/12 for example). The game wouldn't start and we had to wait for people to leave.
- Joined games with instant 'connection interrupted' messages which would then lead to host migration and a game crash.
- Strange square pixels appearing on the screen. Mainly see it during host migration.

These issues seem to mostly happen when I join games in a party. When I play by myself it has been pretty good.

So the Gorgon nerf sucks. Reducing the mag size, and also reducing the total ammo able to be carried. It was perfect how it was before. Other than that a gun that claims to be a two-shot kill, three hit kills aren't super rare. It was like that before the nerf too.

Yeah would agree, the party system is borked atm, solo is fine, hopefully there is a fix soon.

So the gorgon nerf sucks

Yep. It was already a difficult gun mid-range to close. And I only used it on maps with long lanes like Metro. But now? All that leveling for nothing.

My Pharo feels worthless as well. I'm getting three bursts of hit detection and people still aren't dropping at mid-range.

"Let's balance the guns until they all are frustratingly weak."

The Gorgon already had so many disadvantages. It was silly to nerf it just because a bunch of people whined about it.

No I think you about nailed how to play CoD. One thing I would add: If you don't hear gunfire and/or see skulls for dead teammates in front of you...the enemy is behind you. Every damn time. :)

The biggest tip from me in Treyarch games is constantly use cover. The maps are designed so you always know where enemies are coming from and that works both ways for your opponents. If you notice, there's almost always trash cans or railings or other clutter at the corner of key chokepoints. There's also lots of obstructions outside of doors and blocking off sightlines in the map. Move from cover to cover, peeking out before you move to the next safe place, leaving as much of your body obstructed as possible while allowing your reticle to cover the entire door.

I've had one game DC for me and that happened 10 seconds after I joined mid match. I've yet to experience any like that above video so far. And I haven't seen that damn plug pulling icon.

Whereas previous games, I'd see all of the above multiple times a day.

So consider me surprised at how well things are.

I'm not a call of duty guy but I picked this up with my ps4 and I have to say I'm now a believer. the sheer amount of content is amazing and having a roommate with another copy of the game in the same living room has really highlighted the brilliance of making every single aspect of the game coop. you can even do the free running and replays in a party. I'm also highly impressed that this game features full lan support. Thinking about having a COD party in my living room sometime soon.

That's a glimpse of how it plays. Im not alone, most of my friends have the same since launch.

I had this all last night, huge consistent lag spikes and it only seemed to be affecting me in the match. I tried everything to remedy it but to no avail, it wasn't my connection and my NAT is open.

Earlier on in the day it was playing flawlessly so it does seem to be an issue that comes and goes. Had a very similar experience in the beta (which is frustrating considering its STILL an issue).

Also I have difficulty going online when starting the game which results in some dumb alphabet error code but when I try again straight after it loads no problem.
