Call of Duty: Black Ops III |OT| No Content For Old Gen

So I plan on playing this for the first time today in a while since Fallout 4 launched. What assault rifle are you guys using? I still haven't really found a good one for me. I was using the HVK or whatever it's called but it takes forever to kill someone with it.

If you want something with more stopping power try the XR-2, but don't fail your shots, also kinda sucks at close range.

The KN-44 is the more equilibrated AR for me, good at mid range, good damage, good rate of fire, decent at hipfire. It has more recoil, than most AR but otherwise is very good.

Man O War (quickdraw+dot sight+grip) for me. Beast at range and mows ppl down up close with hipfire.

using high calibur on XR-2 makes it better when you creep or hold positions

went 18 and 9 on TDM with it, thats way higher than normal when i use this weapon

So I've been playing around with my killstreaks, cerberus and talon seem pretty powerful, and a good combination alongside UAV, in my opinion.

Finished a game last night at 33-1 with a 29 killstreak thanks to this setup. Controlling the cerburus which only requires a 7 killstreak to attain, generates me an average of five kills (ranging between 2 and 12 so far), and Talon gets me an average of 3.5, ranging between 1 and 7. So in many cases, cerburus leads right into Talon, and with a 7 killstreak I can add +4-19 kills to my streak (mean, 8.5).

Obviously a few things need to happen for this to work out, ideally, but it's been very consistent for me so far and I've had quite a number of matches with scores like 43-2, 33-1, 26-1, 47-6 etc. just in the last two days since switching to this scorestreak setup. And even on bad games where I've been mostly even, getting this up just once pushes me to to an extra 10 kills, usually into a 1.5-2.0 KDR. Not to mention, it provides tremendous amounts of control over B for your team to ensure you get the cap and ultimately, contributes significantly to the match outcome in Domination.

Works best in domination, sit your cerberus on B and use it as a 'turret' don't push into enemies too much else they'll rotate spawn, sit on the edge of their spawn overlooking the major exit points from B-ish area and you can mop them up as they approach B from spawn. Displacing their spawn is bad, as moving the cerburus is slow.

Nice nice, do you just let cerburus control itself? The two I use I usually control, because that way I don't die, which is what results in the really low death counts, but I think the wraith and raps might be better for simply getting more kills, and opting not to control cerb and talon would increase my score per minute, so I'll give it a go.

How well does cerberus do without being controlled? I've kind of assumed it would be pretty bad.

It's pretty good actually, it lasts forever and I notice that it gives me about 7 + kills or more. I do not like to control streaks, I like to dominate from all sides, with me on the ground, with streaks on the air and on the ground.

I feel like I am more useful getting kills myself and capture flags as my streaks get kills as well. And the ceberus by itself has not disappointed me

Exactly the same for me, wouldn't even know there was a patch if I didn't see it download.

Sorry to hear that, just got to try it out on my machine and I'm getting way less cpu utilisation and my framerate has gone from 70-100 to 90-125, if they can iron out the framerate swings I'll be really happy

what attachments do you use on your Pharo, I'm actually leveling it, so I'm intrested

Now I have settled for the helo sight, fast mag, extended mag and laser sight

I believe in the game play i had long barrel, which I no longer use, not worth it

Sixth sense + laser sight saves me so many times. I can see people coming up Close and with laser sight it destroys up close. The weapon is already accurate and has quite some range that it is great on its own,not many need for other attachments. I have fast hands to go up faster when I'm running, and I have enough bullets with extended mag to last me until I get all my streaks and allows me for as many bursts as needed. And when reloading is needed, it's super fast with fast mag

I feel this weapon like this covers close, medium and long range great with this configuration. And it allows me to get right back in the action fast when I need to reload, and allows me to not worry about losing ammo

Scorestreaks are 10x better if you control them yourselves; the ones you have the option for.
I know, I'll still rather get my own gun kills

Edit: sometimes I do control the ceberus just to put him at b for instance as I capture it, for strategic purposes

It tends to do pretty good for my on its own, specially when I send in along with the raps and such. The chaos helps
Yea it would be deadly with RAPS.
I guess depends of the mode, in domination putting a cerberus on auto on a point and he can do just fine, on more chaotic game modes I can see him not doing as good.

Weird, I mostly play GW and it doesn't seem to pick up many kills. When I control it, probably average 7 kills with it.

Yeah I much rather control Cerebrus or Talon, especially in larger maps. Almost doubles the kills. AI will shoot enemies directly in front of it, but it doesn't recognize opportunities or chase targets very well.

Negative side is that your body sits somewhere for long period of time with no defense. Most of the time you come back to a dead body, so if you're controlling the score streak it's probably best to use it as a final one.

Thanks for the tips I'm gonna try these out when I get off of work.

Wow you can't leave a zombie roaming anymore or gets points doing that. They automatically die. WTF.

They don't really die, they just disappear and another one respawns somewhere near you. It's kind of annoying to be honest because you can be running a train of 15 zombies and one or two will be at the end, you get far enough and they'll respawn somewhere right in your path.

If you want to test it, during the first couple rounds use the gumball machine as the middle point. Run from one end of the middle area, say where the stairs lead down, bring a zombie with you, then run back to the starting point. By the time you get there the zombie will be gone and another one will be trying to get at you/out of a window somewhere.

This wouldn't be so bad if all the windows were boarded up, but since they can come out of just about anywhere it makes it pretty annoying.

You couldn't leave a zombie roaming in the older games either, you always had to keep them close to you and moving, if they got stuck on something or you got too far they would die. At least here they just respawn, but again, that brings the whole issue of you getting too far from a train only to get hacked at by an unexpected zombie that just jumped out of a random window.

I've played every CoD and in all that time I've probably spent less than 2 hours total sniping but today I decided to give it a go and my God, I'm in love. I'm playing TDM and just going huge in nearly every game, it's a totally different way to play and I'm enjoying it so much. Using the burst pistol as a secondary and I swear half my kills are instant headshots from that beast.

With how many purifiers I have killed while they were killing me or the brief time I tried it, it wouldn't surprise me if the average kills is between 0 to 4. Not the 10-15 that you're talking about.

Also, other Specialists weapons can get tons of kills if used right, would that make them too OP?

When did I say the average amount of kills with the purifier was 10 to 15 lol? The purifier is capable of 10 to 15, some
other specialist perks are not.

I just played a match where I got a 19 kill streak in Hardcore FFA due to spawn camping. A shitty thing to do but if the game is going to spawn enemies in front of me it's hard to walk away from that. Just shows how bad spawns are in this game, people were materialising literally in my sight over and over again.

No it wasn't like this before. In the other ones you could leave one crawling around while you gathered and searched for items, no matter how long. I was doing just that in this game then out of nowhere it dies and the next round started.

That's how I remember always doing it anyway.
