Call of Duty: Black Ops III |OT| No Content For Old Gen

Why did nobody tell me that you needed fast hands perk to use the KRM. That huge default delay on firing the shotgun after sprinting is ridiculous.

There's also Gung-Ho, but that has a slight delay too when compared to just running normally and firing.

I struggled with that as well until I found a strategy: play hardcore domination. Wait near a flag you already have. B flag is the best. When it's being captured, wait a few seconds to see if more people hop on it, then use vision pulse and go to town.

You might not get it on 1 shot but it's your best bet instead of running around and using it randomly.

Good luck, man! I know its a pain in the ass.

I'll try it. It's frustrating because I don't quite know whar the timer is.

I was using gung-ho before, I don't think it actually did anything. There was a noticeable delay, with fast hands and no gung-ho the thing fires as soon as I press the mouse button more or less. I mean I assumed it would do something because that's what the text suggested, that's why I am surprised by all of this.

I do think Gung-Ho needs to be more powerful (along with a few other perks). Your gun should always be up, and mantling speeds should be faster.

Other buff/balance ideas:

Blind Eye should have Hard Wired's Tracker/Sixth Sense counters.

Ghost's movement requirement should be the same as it was in Black Ops II. Allow it to work when ADS walking or crouch-walking.

Fast Hands should get it's equipment-handling speed boost back from Black Ops II.

Ante Up is a really lame perk and I don't really know how to fix it.

Cold Blooded should reduce the glow on your character's armor, making it easier to blend in with the environment. Reduce; not eliminate. You'd still be visible in dark corners, but you'd be less visible when in sun-lit bushes or the like.

Dead Silence should counter Awareness completely.

Trying to form a party shouldn't be this fucking frustrating. Wow. Cmon, Treyarch. I love you guys, but this is just silly.
I'm serious. My problem is none of my friends show up in the social menu. I have about 300 friends atm and I'm thinking about purging my FL to see if that helps.

I really want to like this game. I do. Movement and gunplay are top notch. But I dived back into MP today for the first time in a week, and I keep getting this weird hitching that makes the game almost unplayable, especially when I'm trying to wall run and such.

Mind you, my internet isn't great but this is unacceptable.

Honestly perks are completely inconsequential to me in this game. 5 attachments to roid out my primary is more beneficial.

Totally the opposite here. Outside of a few cases, I do best with just a basic gun--maybe one attachment--and a full deck of perks.

Odd. What's your game type of choice?

Kill Confirmed, though I do like to play Uplink now and then. I'm all about getting up close and personal though. My favorite attachments tend to be fast mags or laser sights. Afterburner, Blast Suppressor, and Tracker are my favorite perks.

Are you guys aware that putting stock on an SMG allows Ghost to be active while you ADS walk? It is perfect for remaining stealthy, yet ready for a gunfight.

Some GG's with GAF. Undefeated B] If you have a bad first round of Dom, its kinda hard to make up on the 2ND round because these MLG Cod players in Gaf will eat up all the kills lol

I think I figured out what to use my token on, the Wraith. Low level Scorestreaks blow so hard.

Ah. That makes sense. I'm almost exclusively a TDM guy. Outside of flak jacket and maybe gung ho most of the perks just don't have enough impact to make a difference to me.

Soooo.....i played hardcore domination by mistake...and it felt a lot better than vanilla, hosts had less lag and idk if it was placebo but it felt like there was less aim assist. Had fun.

Smgs are king in this game, every time I switch to an assault rifle I suck and switch back to the vesper or vmp, love those two guns.... Is the pharo bad after the nerf or is it still descent? Not unlocked yet but I picked it up tonight for the first time and it felt pretty good, got three quick kills with it before I died.

I am not saying it should be better just that I am surprised it didn't work like I expected it too, and that I should have been using a totally different perk the entire time.

Yeah, the starter shotgun doesn't really need any attachments since they don't seem to do anything worthwhile.

I'm starting to realize, that even tho I love talking and being in lobbies. I do so much better with no mic, or talking and no distractions. Just focusing on the game

Man, it's a real bummer that campaign progress made in local can't carry over to online. Got a nice ICR camo I would like to use in MP but I can't since it's on local.

My NAT is stuck on moderate.

Wired connection from XBONE to my SBG6580 modem.
I've set my IP manually on my xbone, and set that to static IP on my modem DHCP menu.
I'm forwarding the standard xbox ports (my xbox os says my NAT is open).
I'm also forwarding the 3075 UDP port which the Black Ops 3 menu recommends.
I'm also forwarding ports 3076 to 3085 BOTH which some folks on reddit say worked for them.
It doesn't matter if I also enable UPNP, or set the static IP as DMZ host.
Side note, not sure if UPNP and/or DMZ may conflict with port forwarding.
Even when I reboot both the XBONE and the modem, it still shows up as moderate NAT.

Anyone have the same problem or know how to fix?

2 prestiges in. Game is a lot of fun but here are my general negatives for multiplayer:

- High killstreaks are too easily destroyable.
- Hit detection is inconsistent and bullets tend to go missing when players strafe even though your aim is right on them. In other matches you'll be feeling like you're cheating death when every bullet counts regardless of player movement.
- Aim assist is waaay too high which lessens the skill gap. SMG users also have incredibly far aim assist range whereas in past CoD's they were shorter and took more skill.
- Way too much cover in this game. Does every corner need a barrel and crate? No! Make it a risk/reward thing where you can take chances in one lane to flank the enemies. Instead, everyone's propped up against something in this game and it can slow things down to a crawl which is not what CoD is about.
- Because of the last point, people clear in sections and tend to be clustered together in tight corridors. Makes it frustrating when you keep bumping into groups of enemies that overwhelm you. I don't know what it is, but it happens a lot in this game more than any other CoD game I played.
- Friends list doesn't show all friends. Gun camo's can't be applied globally. Can't copy entire side of a gun design to the other side and mirror it. Social sharing aspect not up, yet. Prestige unlocks keep resetting to default gun/specialist until you're at the proper level to unlock it. The game feels overly ambitious and there are rough edges if you look deep enough, but it's still very playable.

i absolutely agree with this, my biggest issue is point 2, i just feel like some of my shots just dont hit. also it hard to react to enemies since the connection favors the other side cause im getting melted

So people might have said it in this thread but if someone could clarify for me:

when does Ghost protect you from UAV and when does it not? Movement isn't the most clear.

Dead Silence is such a useless perk. Awareness can still catch you nearby.

Dead Silence is not so much to hide your noise from others, but rather for reducing the noise of your own footsteps from yourself so that you can hear others. The combination of dead silence and awareness is just too strong in this game, almost to the point of being unfair. I can literally hear people coming from miles away with my headset, especially with volume set to super crunch in game.

You must be moving fast or sprinting. Walking or ADS will not activate. It's pretty much strictly for rushers.

Now this is something that's struck me as odd and disappointing since launch. I didn't think a whole lot of it's absence in the beta, but there are some tools in the paintshop (and emblem editor, probably) that are distinctly missing.

Check out the end of this multiplayer trailer, and pause when they start painting the gun:

https://youtu.be/Tpm1yk3enzY?t=123

You can clearly see three commands "Link/Unlink Layers", "Group/Ungroup", and "Save Decal Group" that aren't in the full release. You can even see them (for a split second) moving several decals as a group.

It's a real bummer, because those tools would go so far in helping customize your weapons and emblem with really detailed designs.

Also, is it just me, or is the color gradient of a lower quality than it was in the beta?

Haven't played as much as you but i have the same complaints really, the bolded ones.

So much cover is a great thing in my opinion, and at least gives SOME semblance of an ability to control the map. Without as much of it, the game would be even more of a spaz fest than it already is, and I feel it's probably too much of spaz fest already.

The Gorgon completely changed how I feel about these games. Year after year, I would be going 5-20 in most matches I play (TDM). With this gun now? I'm almost always at the top of the board, barely ever getting killed more than 10 times, and pushing 20+ kills on the regular.

Love it, having so much fun now that I don't suck. Do I contribute it all to the gun? No, not all of it, but it definitely has something to do with it. The first game I used with it I already was playing better, as the game before I was utter shit.

My K/D is up from a .69 to a .94. Feeling pretty good about this moving forward.

I think it´s pretty usefull cause the sound from myself like footsteps is also cancelled out, so it´s really easy to listen to anything else without distraction. At the moment it´s a must have for me.

Interesting, wonder if that's a glitch.

I doubt it. It's just that with a stock, your movement speed is above the required threshold. Normally, ADS slows your walk speed down too much for Ghosts to be active. It probably works when ADS-ing with sidearms too.

Man with that nerf to the Haymaker, it really isn't much of any use any more. It's a shame they decided to nerf it, shotguns were actually becoming a viable option.

I never did hear how they made it worse, but it's shame all the same. The Haymaker needed a buff, not a nerf. All the shotguns could use buffs. The TTK for SMGs beat them out in most close ranges, let alone long ranges. Their only benefit is that you don't need to aim as carefully and can hip-fire with more consistency.

Not a fan of it either right now, even in close quarters its a shot or 2 extra then before. Messed around on nuketown and was surprised at how it dropped in quality.

They pretty much gimped what was one of the only good shotties

Having spent some time in multiplayer, this game is good but, for the life of me I can't figure out the hate for Advanced Warfare. That game to me is clearly far better than this one. The wall running here feels largely useless a lot of the time, and beyond that and the boost slides it is just aother CoD game, albeit a well made one. It's just hard to go back following the freedom to boost around Advanced Warfare gave.
