Lol, we love you as we love to kill you.. On this subject, yesterday evening in Metro HC Domination, I kept going to my right and wall running along the sea/river. 3 times in a row I got shot shortly after landing, had no idea where it was coming from. I then found out that someone was camping below in the water! I then proceeded to kill him, but was funny.
Once you get used to the maps, they are so much fun.
I'm guilty of patrolling the water on Metro. Lots of people dont even think you can go down there and swim around... they just have that edge of map water = death mentality from previous CoDs. Same with running outside the map on certain maps and then back in quickly to flank.
I really wanna get it done at least once. I really need a crew for that on PS4.

Ugh, trying for headshot medals with the 48 Dredge is frustrating, can't wait to be done with this stupid gun. Only 10 bursts and you gotta do the LMG reload.
Weapon and perks wont make you good , learn the maps and out predict the people you are facing.

What's nice is that the Playstation is a 15 minute capture. The Xbox is like 5 minutes max so you gotta not forget to capture your game afterwards and for longer games, you'll never get the whole thing. I got burned on a phenomenal Gears game because of how the Xbox does captures.
I love the pistol. I did a pistol only match and got second place overall, and we won. Saved my ass more than a few times when I didn't have time to reload between fights. It's legit good. My main gun only has a sight and grip. I don't muck around with other attachments because I like the two tac grenades.
Not till you get used to maps.
I've already decided dual pistols is my best approach, so basically, find what works for you. Work the perimeters, then you can't get shot from one side, and do t be afraid to camp a few corners with sixth sense on.
Sometimes I can still have a good run. I got the Insane Killer Black OP during gun game.

I've been experimenting with different weapons. I mostly use a main Assault Rifle for my main. Sometimes a Shotgun as my secondary. One loadout has a vehicle-lockon rocket launcher as my 2nd to take care of those pesky enemy crafts. That is fun to use.
Also been experimenting with a Sniper Riffle. But not very good at it yet. Need to keep using it and level it up to get some more accessories for it.
I kinda wish the Scorestreaks were a little more like the ones in Ghosts. As in, that game had at least 2 different types. Offensive and defensive. The offensive ones worked like this does, points are reset after death. But defensive ones aren't.

Yeah, that is true. I do like those. I mostly stick to the radar one.
The laser sight does wonders for me, it destroys up close, I sometimes do not even ADS with the Pharo. I've gotten two people on me and destroyed them with hip fire. I would say it is great for the Pharo.
However, as I mentioned, I might have to rethink my class a bit, as people with Quickdraw, stock, and grip seem to always have the upper hand.
I use it all the time, I never tap, I hold it. It works really well for me.
Anyone else has the same problem, when you lose an smg gun fight that you think you should have won, your opponent had grip, quickdraw, and stock? It is shocking how that little difference, since smgs are already agile enough, make it so they win consistently.
Edit: There's a couple of crazy hip fire here from 1:40 - 2:05. And I am sure there's some others there, but I remember those.

I usually play only certain maps when it comes to longshots. I think Infection and..umm..exodus? Is that the one with train cars on the side? Anyways, those 2 maps are great for longshots since you can sit at either building and that's enough distance for a long shot. That's the only time I would camp, haha.
I also use thermal just so I can see their head better...especially useful for when they hide behind something.

Wall running is just pointless in this game. Most maps are an identity crisis between COD and Titanfall it just feels forced to for the sake of being there. It is also sluggish as hell you are way more vulnerable wall running than walking/running.

Stock is amazing for surviving face-to-face contests. Stick a stock on your SMG; strafe hard in one direction while keeping your sights on the other guy. Most people can't adjust their aim fast enough to keep up with your lateral movement. Don't strafe back-and-forth, that just puts you back in their sights.

One thing annoying me in this game is drops in the map, one minute you're ads working your way round a corner and next minute you're falling to your death, don't know how may times I've fallen to my death.
Also would love some more open maps like overgrown or cross fire for some proper sniping action (not quick scoping).
Is there a blops gaf (pref uk) community? If anyone wants to add me my psn is my username, just state your from the gaf; just a warning I'm no pro player ha ha and have limited playtime, but I do play the objective.
As a side note, I think OTs should state if their is a gaf community for the game and identify who to look for/community manager.

Yeah, I've done that, going to have to go back to do that. I was just hoping I did not because SMGs are pretty agile already, but the difference is night and day.
Is this the first game where stock is so important on SMGs?
Never needed it on BO2, unless I had an AR

Go HC, only need to land 1 or 2 shots for a kill so should increase chance of getting kills at range.

Never ran Stock (and most of the time, Quickdraw) on SMGs, but I'll see what difference there is when I hop on in a few. For now, the only attachment I bother to use on my SMGs is Grip and I don't see that changing unless a situation calls for a change in attachments.
Stock on ARs is my go-to, though. Too good to pass up on and makes the XR-2 and M8 much easier to use.

One is to aim, another is specific to putting your gun up and aim faster while sprinting
I've been using fast hands without quick draw as well, but as I've noticed, Quickdraw seems to still win (+ fast hands)

Holy shit a the quickscoping in this game (PS4)! I just played a round of Ground War Safeguard with a squad you can tell are using that XIM keyboard+mouse adaptor for consoles!
Kill cam shows them swinging the cursor like a mouse. Yeesh! Can't Treyarch do something about this? Seriously kills the enjoyment when you know people have an unfair advantage. Why do these people play on PS4?

The amount of people that are using them is probably really, really low. I haven't encountered anyone like that from the 15+ hours of MP I have played on the PS4.
Ever since ive switched to the Vesper, i have been winning more and more gun fights against many different weapon types, i can now once again engage targets with confidence.
It can surprisingly kill at medium range with accuracy with out the need of a grim as well, i under-estimated that gum so much, that may be my first permanent unlock when i prestige
I think it fixes my online hit marker issue since it slings so much lead that it doesn't care about the connection, also you get that godly hip fire.
Downsides are of corse capacity and fire rate, while i enjoy how fast it shoots you're gonna burn though that 30 round mag so fast you'll be down to your last mag before you know it, better throw on that scavenger. (and maybe fast mag extend mag aswell)
Vesper is that one gun that clicks with me, its by far my most comfortable weapon ive used in the game (untill a patch changes things). even at rank zero i was immediately aware of its lethality and im glad out of my frustration i picked a random weapon and got the Vesper.
Scavenger is a must tho

I thought it was capped at 2** for prestige? I don't think there are any cards or emblems tied to it, just the stat trak which you can barely notice on some or most guns.

Jumping quickscopes are possible with a controller now because you can remap buttons to have jump on L1 or R1. It's something I recommend you to do if you haven't done it already because aiming while jumping changes the game with these movement mechanics.
But it's true that you can easily see a XIM user from killcams, as the XIM is capable of doing right stick inputs that are physically impossible to replicate on a real controller. I would consider it cheating.
A SCUF is just an alternative controller and officially licensed by Sony and Microsoft, so they can't be considered cheating.
I hate this about COD games sometimes. I know there's stuff that's hard to translate, but it usually just straight up lies lol.
Also is there any detriment to using the target locator sight besides just not liking it? Seems like there's no reason not to run it.
in mw2 the famas was way worse than the m16 according to the stats.
in game, the famas was the same, with even a little faster shooting rate.

Yeah Vesper is great, though I can only really limit it to two maps or so (Combine and Exodus). The others I either go AR or Pharo. Its one of the few guns that I've ran out of ammo a few times in a match in this game .
ive been using it on all the maps, its keeping me alive, hell i even beat out some AR's

Don't you have to press Square on PS4, X for XB1, to bookmark a match? It tells you after every game.

interesting. i'm usually hip firing in face to face situations.
i only use stock with lmgs as the hipfire is awful on most of those guns and i usually have my ads up unless i know for sure the area is clear.

You're a bigger man than I am. I did the first mission amd said hell no, I'm not doing this solo. Did the 2nd mission with a couple buddies and still had to spam the cyber cores. Looking to finish it with buddies.lol yeah man. I enjoyed dying 40+ times a mission, and all the loading
I think I ran the last 5-6 missions with sniper and thermal with FMJ.
I tried matchmaking and got put in a game with what sounded like 3 10 year olds. They were just spawning and dying instantly. Took me a few wipes to nope the heck out of there lol

Just get the rockets in the elevator or whatever that spawns in front of you. You only need like 4 shots I think to take down the ship.
Can you jog my memory on this part? I'm on the 2nd to last chapter now, hoping I can continue crusiing through without getting caught up.
