Ok guys, I bought the BLOPS3 ps4 bundle yesterday and have very little idea of what im doing. I picked prophet as my specialist and i tried a couple of matches. the jet pack is fun and I found that sliding and firing from the hip is really useful.

Anyone have any tips and tricks I must know?

I don't rage on the mic, but just let out a sigh and move on with my frustration. I'm more collected than many of the people I usually play with.

And agreed on the area you cap flags in. Most points are set up for you to just get taken out by a nade or from one of the clear openings by an AR or even swept by a specialist. Its really poor and makes capturing well defended points harder than it should be.

Some points can easily be fixed by just making the area wider so that you can defend yourself vs the common spots, but others need cover, or need to be shifted because of how awkward it is capturing or defending it. *cough* Evac *cough*

Haven't played since the weekend so super happy to hear my fav gun the HVK30 has been boosted.

I really want to like the ICR1 but it just doesn't feel as strong as the HVK :(

Yeah I cant decide between the VMP or Vesper they seem almost the same except, I tend to run out of ammo really quickly with the Vesper. I'm going to have play more to find out which one I like.

I've been using the Kuda, UAV, Lightning Strike. and the Ceberus and its going well for me. Even if my team is bad, I can do good with that set up + reaper's scythe and a tripmine. Just lost a match on Havoc and still went 33-0 and had the most caps lol. I play very defensively tho (read; to the typical CoD rusher, I "camp").

Probably gonna replace the Lightning Strike with the sentry gun cuz it's not consistent enough for me. I think there is only a 50 point separation between those two streaks but I whiff on the strikes often enough that it probably won't be much of a difference in practice.

Amateur question. I haven't played CoD in a long time and am finally improving to the point of picking up scorestreaks. I know they are based on a points system, but how can I check the amount of points/how close I am to a scorestreak in a MP game. I don't recall it being on the HUD, but that might be due to my concentrating on basic skills first and foremost.

it's on the hud, to the right there's a bar that fills up

On the bottom right there's a meter that tells you how many more points you need to get to your next score streak

Why is it nearly every Kill Confirmed match I join there's a clan or group on the other team. Much more so than any other game mode.

finally having a good game, for once oposing team not consisting of 3-4 clan/group people doing a pub stomp, actually going positive and contributing to the objective (my global K/D is 0.9, christ i suck at this game, much more than at MW2 or MW3) even got some obscure challenge done I didn't even know existed

then steam dies...

Idk, I like to have one of each depending on the map I'm on and the play style that is working for me that particular week
Haven't played since fallout came out, so the play style I'll go into double xp with will probably be ye'olde run around like a chicken that got its neck chopped off style

I'm three campaign missions in, and fuck this. I thought the campaign was supposed to be good? Obviously I'm only three missions in, but I can already tell I won't like the rest of it either. Can't even be bothered to play one more second. The fact that it took me four "sessions" to play three missions says it all.

For the record, I enjoyed BO1, and even though 2 wasn't quite as good, it was way, way better than this. Trading it in first thing tomorrow morning.

Oh, and I was looking forward to play co-op, and they can't even be bothered to display the game at 16:9? What the actual......?

Impressions that the campaign was kinda mediocre have been around since the game came out. Little more fun in co-op and with abilities though.

Nope. You keep weapon levels, camos, challenge progression, etc. It just relocks everything you get from leveling up.

Man, had two or three dom games where we lost by 1. Another dom where it ended 200-200. And a kill confirmed match that tied at 91.

Why.

I went with Firebreak first, followed by Ghost and Dead Silence. Weapons aren't a good choice IMO as the weapon balance is solid and most guns are viable.

Honestly I don't have any idea where you got the idea that the campaign is good. It sucks. Well aside from Mission 2 because of a Chris Meloni overload.

Multiplayer is fun though! Just jump into that, it'll put you in a much better mood.

Everyone starts like that, just keep playing and you'll catch on.
Just know that Gravity Spikes are BS and know that since mobility is so high you can encounter enemies at any time
Also Prophet gets a cool Monsoon hat later on which is why he's my main.

So we got to the end of the Provocation mission on Realistic only to have Hendricks bug out after killing the final boss not allowing us to complete the mission. Nothing we did triggered the end. We tried wiping and it would just respawn us at the end with no way to complete the mission.

Now we have to restart the mission from the beginning. How in the world does this game not have a "Restart Checkpoint" option??

So with Drift0r's findings, my early testing was true that LB is shitty for SMGs and Shotguns. I was hoping that it wasn't true. Oh well. Really good to know how great it is for ARs though.

I also forgot to save a video of my ripper lounging at someone through the windows in Nuketown..lol

Wondering what I should prestige next. Ghost is nice, but launchers are just so good to use. Maybe Dead Silence to not hear my own steps as well as to get over the Awareness users.

i was originally playing on a 55in tv, i switched over to a 22in and i think im doing better, its alot less work to gander over to your radar

It only helps SMGs for long range damage not their max damage close range.
As for shotguns, the increase is about 13%, which is very tiiiiiny since the shotgun's range is already shitty. Here's the video.

Oh and when I tested it with the Argus, LB increased the hit range, but decreased the 1HK range to less than without it. I don't know if they fixed/changed this now.

Where'd you hear this? The campaign has been universally panned from day one and rightly so, it's pure garbage. The multiplayer is fantastic which is why there's probably less people talking about the single player mode.

Also Firebreak is definitely my favourite specialist; so good. Scythe and Warmachine to round out my top 3.

Also I wish you could get camos on the specialist weapons.

Anyone else struggling to get a positive k/d ratio on core modes but slaying it on HC? I usually rank top 3 in HC modes.

Matchmaking problems seem to have been worked out for me. Been having a great experience all day. I bought Battlefront, but I'm just going to keep playing this now.

Also, I didn't realize the increased mobility on submachine guns applied to landing recovery. I was pretty much only using assault rifles up till now, but holy crap, I'm destroying everybody since I started using the Kuda.

Nope. My K/D ratio has sat around 6.0 today. Playing core TDM mostly.

Wasn't going this well before the matchmaking and connection issues cleared up though.
