Cerberus is pretty much useless right? I average like .7 kills before it gets destroyed or just times out. It moves around like a defective Roomba vacuum, it's terrible. Have you guys had any luck with it?

I think it's one of the better scorestreak rewards. Best when piloted though.

Never prestiged in a CoD game because my interest just sort of waned as I played more... Had a week off from Blops 3 due to work commitments and thinking I finally kicked the habit and played something else but then decided to boot this game up again, hit 55 and prestiged... fuck this game! Its on again and its awesome and I'm loving it!

Use it manually, and then report back if you feel the same. I think I'm close to an average 7 kills per with it.

Manually control it and go to work. It lasts a longggggg time as well.

Piloting it is the way to go, almost always a couple kills. The only time I leave it on auto is to patrol the B flag while I go for flanking plays.

I started to learn Sony Vegas tonight instead of just uploading raw clips, here is my first attempt, it's all from the same 60 - 8 - 22 KC game I had earlier: https://streamable.com/cdx8

So far I've learned how to fade, fast forward, split, cut and render correctly (I'm really happy with the image quality). No fancy editing yet, one step at a time as they say.

Trying to get all the helmets and armor for the sparrow. Getting kills with the vision pulse is frustrating. It just does not last long so I only end up getting a kill or so every few games with it.

Overall the vision pulse is useless because it's easier getting more kills with the bow.

Full duration Wraith and RAPs, what is this sorcery? They get shot down instantly every time I use them which is why I don't anymore. Plus RAPs on hardcore is just asking to be kicked :D

If you will not be manually piloting it it is not really worth it in my opinion. Better to go with the Hardened Sentry, which is easier to get and will usually guarantee a couple kills if you know where to place it.

well boys and girls, got my nuclear finally

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IulY2UieACY

whats funny about this:

1) this was literally my first black ops 3 round ever, where i started with a rifle class and not an smg (maybe thats telling me something)

2) after a series of deaths at 28, 29 kills - i die immediately after 30 in this one

gonna work on the FFA one maybe in a few weeks, after i get a bit further with my specialists unlocks and such, im confident i'll get it done

can anyone recommend a capture card? i'm really tired of the ps4 capture, want 60fps gameplay videos

That was great congrats!!

Are you in ps4? Edit: yeah you are. We should play together some time.

I also run smgs, just more fun for me, but I can see how AR might be better for nuclears

I figured Hijacked would be remade, and depending on how the remake is, I'm glad. I really hope we get Standoff remade from Black Ops 2. That was such a fucking amazing map.

I plugged in my Xbox 360 tonight and played some Black Ops 2. Wow, this game feels much better than Black Ops 3. People aren't all over the map the whole time, power positions actually matter as people can't fly into them with an SMG by just holding a button, people aren't flying through the air into your face out of nowhere, the game wasn't so geared towards the spastic run and gun style, and other styles felt much more viable, and the game just feels more tactical, and requires more wits and intelligence, with some tweaks and changes, it'd be even better. Less flinch if you're using toughness (I believe). Suppressors don't totally gimp your LMG, or Assault rifle. No specialist crap. (Which are honestly worse than death streaks in my opinion, and just feel a bit better maybe to some, I think, because sure, bad players get them, but you will too if you're a good player.)

Black Ops 3 is definitely better than Advanced Warfare and Ghosts, but Black Ops 2 easily beats Black Ops 3 in my opinion.

Yikes. I pretty much disagree with this whole post.

Specialists worse than deathstreaks made me lol. Toughness was the biggest crutch perk other than stopping power in CoD history. It had some of the worst maps in CoD history also. Who cares what silencers did or didn't do the LMGs they were garbage in that game. Gun balance was also way worse. Scorestreaks were too powerful. People run and gun more in Black Ops 3, but it beats camping to get your overpowered Loadster.

Awesome stuff but this is why i dont play domination. its fucking broken.

Ever since Kill Confirmed was introduced in MW3 (how horrible that game is) that is my favorite mode they have adopted in every game so far.

The DLC was a non-announcement outside of the images though. They always release the first map pack at the end of January/beginning of February.

Would like a better look at those images though...

edit: found a pic. Definitely a hijacked remake. Like the look of that waterpark. Gauntlet has my curiosity too, what with the 3 different images of 3 rather different environments.

call-of-duty-black-ops-III-awakening-dlc-pack.jpg

I wonder if the pack will have any new guns. Or Treyarch could be cool and release a new weapon free to everyone, so that no one complains about balance or what have you.

Skyjacked hopefully it is in a sense as hijacked i loved that map in black ops 2. And i love how treyarch always does a snow map.

I pretty much disagree with your entire post as well. Haha

How are specialists not worse? Deathstreaks like painkiller were annoying sure. But everyone can get a war machine, a scythe? Etc?

It's a way to essentially give bad players free, very powerful killstreaks. Death streaks were crap, but less harmful to the game. Like I said, I think people complain about specialists less because everyone gets them, whereas bad players only got death streaks, which made it more insulting to good players. This way it lessens some of those bad feelings, while still giving crappy players a free reward for basically nothing.

Ahh, but I never said toughness should be retained as a perk. I meant hat the level of flinch for everyone should be reduced to toughness levels from Black ops 2 or around there, without having to use a perk, just as part of the base game mechanics. Less stupid random headshots from the tons of aim assist and flinch mechanics in COD.

Black ops 2 had some great maps, and I completely disagree with that notion. Advanced warfare, ghosts, and MW3 had many of the worst maps in the COD series.

I care what about how silencers affect LMG's. LMG's were awesome in that game! The MK48 was a fucking monster, the LSAT was great, the Hamr (or however it was spelled) was fantastic when used properly.

I'm not even sure how to judge the Black Ops 3 maps. With it being a sprint fest, and people being able to float around, it's much more of a spazzes jungle fm vibe, and it's hard to actually determine how good maps are when so much of the tactical side is no longer present because of the unlimited sprint and movement system.

Gun balance was awesome in that game. Score streaks weren't overpowered really either. In this game, everyone shoots things down so constantly and easily, it's ridiculous. The lodestar probably could have been beefed a bit, but it was a damn high score streak to begin with I believe. It wasn't super common to see them from my experience.

I don't have a problem with run and gun play styles, I have a problem with a game bein so catered to it, and just spazzing around the map with SMG's. Black ops 2 made other styles of play much more viable.

when I go back and play BO2 multiplayer, and ones before that, one thing that always strikes me is the gunfights that emerge from trying to hold down certain places on a map. I certainly miss that from the last few CoD's where the maps and gameplay are designed for you to be constantly moving.

Also Treyarch nailed the map packs in BO2 so I hope they do the same in this one. That paint ball arena map from the last BO2 map pack was straight up something out of MW with its almost flat geometry.

Yup, big time. It was much more tactical and required more planning and thinking in my opinion. I miss that too.

The hijacked remake is gonna be amazing.
I hope so! I think I said it in one of my earlier posts earlier in the thread, but I really hope we also get a remake of Standoff from Black Ops 2.

On another note, I'm having a lot of fun with the Engineer, and Care Package combo. I can re-roll my care packages. Plus, I'm running UAV, and the Lightning Strike, so they're relatively low to middle score streakcosts, but it can be very effective.

you are really generalizing here, imo

i forget the name of the kid, but someone linked a twitch stream a week ago where he was dropping 8.0KDR and 400SPM NOT being the run and gun guy, he was basically playing a reserved, casual style of COD using the m8 and dominating people

black ops 3 is a SMG fest not because thats the only way to play it and be successful, its an SMG fest because movement in this game is designed well, and its fun to utilize

its still a great game with viable strategies to hold back and blast people with rifles or LMGs

Fringe is basically Standoff with the gas station area cut off, missing some of the lines of sights but the basic layout of the map and key building positionings are identical.

Getting so tired of combine. I get it guys, it's small and fun, but when the last 4 domination lobbies I've joined are all basically combine 24/7 it gets old.

On a sidenote, please at least try to capture B on combine. Really tired of having to capture it myself the whole time while my team just grinds kills.

thanks :)

I don't think I'm generalizing at all. I think he sounds like an exception. Was he playing with a party? Headphones and awareness? Those things matter too.

It's an SMG fest because that's how it's designed to be. I didn't say it's the only way to play it and be successful. It just gives SMG players a bigger advantage than thus have in older games, and other styles of play less of one. In the past it used to be much more even.

The movement system is fun to use, but I disagree that it's designed well, as I don't think it has any place in a CoD game. Unlimited sprint and the movement system create more randomness, more chaos, negate power positions to a substantial degree, and fuck up spawns. It makes the game less tactical, deaths seem to matter even less because you can get around the map so fast and so easily much of the time.

It hurts the game, and people who don't like to play the rushing SMG spaz style. Just because other styles can be successful, it's to a lesser degree, and definitely hurts that style of gameplay, the viability of other styles, and the game in general. And I think that's a bad thing.

Less randomness, and more viable play styles are far better in my opinion.

Eww no way. I hate Fringe, and Standoff is one of my favorite maps in any CoD game probably. They are very different. It's also a map that shows how badly the movement system hurts power positions. There are four ways to get into the barn for instance. With people moving so fast, and being able to thrust into a window with the SMG, how on earth is someone supposed to defend against that? Especially when you get a kill, and people can get back to you as fast as ever, and try thrusting right into the window again.

My only gripe with this game is how people are all over the map. The mobility makes enemies unpredictable. I can't count how many times I get shot from behind or killed within 2 seconds of spawning.

That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. Sure the movement system can be fun to use, but it really hurts the game.

Also what's the point of k/d and w/l if you can't even view those stats for people in the lobby? Who made the dumb decision to remove being able to view someone's combat record from the lobby menu?

i mean - i just flat disagree

its a matter of opinion though i suppose

i dont find myself getting shot in the back very often, and i feel like theres plenty of map control available to a coordinated team outside of combine

i mean, ive been watching the pro qualifiers, and i dont really see any of the complaints that youre mentioning - but to each their own
