So dumb how Domination counts as one match, so you have to get 6 kills with whatever specialist in half a domination game...

and safeguard I guess also... seriously this is stupid.

Chaos Moshpit is the way to go I guess.

Lol which challenge is this?

Yeah it is pretty annoying but works if you kill them the second they get tagged. I got it to work by getting behind 2 enemies and then activating the vision pulse

I did the same exact thing and finally got the double tag and bag kill. Still need one more. Overall it kind of defeats the purpose of the vision pulse if you have to see the guys first, then tag them, then kill them to get credit for it.

Will there be more double xp weekends soon or was that a one time thing?

Not a one time thing. They usually have double XP weekends when they release new maps. My guess is January will be the next double XP weekend.

Are the zombie trophies easy/doable solo?

Well one involves killing two of these in a single round

maxresdefault.jpg

Seems doable if you can leave a straggler though. One normally spawns at round 7/8, and you get another from doing all the rituals, which can be done in a single round, again, by leaving a straggler.

The rest don't seem too difficult. Just a matter of building stuff and having the points. Doing it solo also ensures that you don't run into any issues with other players interfering.

Hmm okay. I just keep getting kicked from zombie teams as my level's not that high (cause I keep getting kicked) yet I place higher than anyone on my team. I'd just like to get a little further.

Has anyone tested does this work in custom games with friends? This is ridiculous holding the pulse for those incredibly rare occasions where you find a pair of campers in a room to creep up behind.

Combine Domination is best suited for this, you can easily tell when the spawns flipp and the enemies will naturally capture the point giving you the option to kill at least 2

So my second game in arena (and my second game in general in Black Ops 3) some guy on my team quit during the Ban/Protect thingy...

How does this incoming loss affect me? Does he loss count for less since someone quit? Can we just surrender? The guy gets punished with a ban for quitting, right?

Sorry, new to this game :p

Guys the new Drift0r video is just wow. Apparently there is no penalty to using a suppressor on sniper rifles. This means you should basically use it on any sniper rifle class.

https://youtu.be/0bTP04_vzF8

I'm not saying he's wrong, but all of his testing was done at point blank range. Maybe the penalty for using a silencer is only on longer ranges?

In either case, what's everyone's favourite sniper rifle?

Considering silencers don't affect damage... They affect range id say you're right.

I haven't really started sniping yet as in terrible at it.

I loved the Fal in mw2 and the Drakon seems quite close to it in terms of damage and firing so might start with that and earn the 'not a scope' sight.

Then need to choose a proper sniper rifle for the OHK body shots but not sure what to go for Locus or the SVG100. Hmmm whichever one looks better maybe haha.

Please don't be that guy :p I hate it when all game long I hear PFFT-PFFT-PFFT-PFFT-PFFT-PFFT with someone spamming their entire Drakon mag using it like a single-shot AR.

Lmao. That'll be me XD

My character will never say 'One shot. One kill. They won't even hear it coming'.

Mine will say 'Many shots. One kill. They'll definitely know what's coming'

Kinetic Armor seems like it's totally useless. I die just as fast with it active. All I do now is activate it while aiming at a spot I think someone is coming from.

At least it's only 20 kills for the Battery gear.

Did that challenge this weekend and even on Nuketown with some good lines of sight it was still a PITA.

I think it is very useful. It takes around double the amount of bullets to drop you I'd say, I pretty much run it all the time.

Good to give you some extra time on objectives.

So do we know what Scorestreaks got a noticeable buff?
Lightning Strike no longer alerts the enemy team when you go into the map view to place your locations, so now they can't run inside until they hear the bombs fall.

Still says a strike is incoming but you've much less time as a result to duck for cover.

Not come up against a Wraith so no idea about that.

Pretty sure a RAPS ship was 3 to down, but I took one down and it needed 4. Maybe it was always 4 not sure...

I'm pretty sure the video just doesn't show all the testing. I played around with a silenced Locus and you can one shot guys easily at any range just as without a silencer. Same goes for the 2 shot kills with the Drakon. Don't have access to the other two sniper rifles right now because I prestiged again yesterday.

Had nothing but bad games for a week and a half while trying to get back to level 46.

Finally cracked and used the VMP and I've had more good games than I can remember in 2 hours than since buying the damn game. I don't get it.

Yo, I know that Seraph ain't 15. So when, I wonder, does multiplayer take place?

Love that kind of detail though. If I recall, in Black Ops 2, the tactical insert displayed accurate GPS information for where you were standing, depending on the location of the multiplayer map in the world.

It's easily one of the best abilities in Hardcore though, since most people aim center mass. Great for drawing out enemies, and covering your ass when you have to run across exposed areas.

So what if snipes dont have a range penalty with silencers? They're the only guns in the game you actually have to aim.

Also did the Dart get buffed? I noticed when I used it today, enemies were highlighted with green, and it seemed like the rockets you could fire would home in on them at least a bit? I could be wrong about that though. Someone please correct me if I am.

Throwing trip mines on the ceiling of a building seems pretty effective. I haven't done it a lot yet, but I think I will be in the future. I wonder how many people would expect them to even be up there.

I'm also thinking of prestiging, and what to use my permanent unlock token on if I do. Decisions, decisions. Including the decision on whether or not I want to prestige again, at least right now. Haha.

I recommend at least prestiging once to unlock all the new challenges.

So I got the Battery gold chest/helm today, and the Ruin chest. Also have the Firebreaker Helm done. I'm just going to unlock the ones I care about for now.

I've prestiged a few times. I kind of want to get all the hero armor, but doing things like the Rejack challenges for Nomad seem like an enormous pain in the ass.

Just picked this up last night on X1. Haven't played CoD since MW/MW2. This is going to be an adjustment, but seems fun.
Welcome! I play on Xbox One as well. If you want someone to party up with from time to time and play with, let me know what your gamertag is. No pressure though. :)

Has this been confirmed? I really hope so, because that ruined the Lighning Strike.

i'm pretty sure i just heard the same targeting warning as before, could be wrong though

Yea it comes in faster, but the warning is still there.
Well, I encountered a fair few strikes last night, I play HC Dom in case HC makes any difference, and 100% definitely no warning when the enemy had entered the map view to plot their strike, only the warning when it was about to drop bombs.

Remember there are/were two warnings, as I said earlier as being the reason for it being so ineffective, one for when they enter map view to plot ('enemy Lightning Strike targeting active' or something like that) which gave you the heads up to run inside and then the second when the bombs fall ('enemy Lightning Strike incoming').

Does anyone know if awareness got nerfed, or dead silence buffed, I am not picking up footsteps as well, Im still using supercrunch too.

I hope they kept footsteps the same, but removed Awareness countering DS.

If so, my pipe dream for Tracker's removal can start.

People are just now figuring this out? You guys do know of Den Kirson, right?

I've been running a suppressor on pretty much all of my sniper classes since November.

I thought most guns were viable at first, but it's probably harder than ever to use anything other than an smg. I like to switch up from campy to rushing, but it's hard making defensive play really work at all.

I still haven't beaten the campaign. I'm not sure I ever will.

i still havent started the campaign, and i probably never will

i disagree, if your angles are solid rifles are great defensively imo

to me, the issue is less about sight lines, and more about the speed, movement, size of the maps, spawn switching, and how good smg's are. Even if you can find a spot to hold down, your position becomes compromised so quick because there are so many ways to get to you, and smg's wreck everything up close so you don't stand much of a chance when that happens. If you got a good, coordinated team to watch your flanks, defensive play can work, it's probably the preferable strategy actually. In a general setting though, with randoms I can't even trust to see everything in front of them, rushing and getting the drop on people seems like the only thing I can do on the small to medium maps.
