I told the team this year that I don't want to be afraid to make changes to the game tuning. If it's the right thing to do, we should do it.

We (generally) define under or over-powered based on an average for that class or category of item. In all cases, we have a "design target" and "design goals" for where something should be performing, and we manage into that. We are constantly trying to track in the Weapons, Attachments, Specialist Weapons & Abilities, Perks, Scorestreaks and anything else from those gameplay systems into those design targets, and do so using the unique properties and personality of that weapon/character/ability/feature.

One important thing. I think most of you understand this, but it still comes up from time to time.

I have as much fun as anyone with when I interact with you all, but we won't ever make a tuning decision because some folks got #bufftheweapon trending, your Tweet got 1000 likes and/or RTs, or because a popular Youtuber made a video.

Some of the time, these thing match up with what we are seeing. Just as often, they do not. I honestly do not care how many of your followers and subs agree with you.

We use this kind of stuff as an opportunity to investigate and evaluate and be sure we didn't miss something. However, it's not, and will never be, the decision maker.

Damn they buffed the 2 shotties I already have done, and didn't do anything to the shotguns that I need to do which are also the 2 worst ones.
 
I absolutely hate awareness, and it has no counter. Some dude spent the whole game on Fringe inside the house by B flag and never died because he had a vesper, awareness, and scavenger. Frustration beyond believe, it's atrocious.

Awareness + Super Crunch + Sixth Sense = instant wallhack.

By the way, what is "recoil control" "Reduced sprint out speed" and "aim stability"?

Does increased recoil control mean the gun has less recoil?

Awareness/Amplify/Siterep Pro is the dumbest thing CoD kept perk-wise. The only people who defend it are the ones who purchased headsets for the sole reason of being able to hear you running downstairs and a mile away.

I hope CoD removes awareness and just keeps dead silence. Make footsteps audible like if they are in the same room/hallway but not in an otherwise ridiculous manner that gives you time to prepare a full course meal before engaging.

No idea what 'increase/decrease recoil control' means. I can only assume an increase is more predictability in the recoil pattern/less spread making it easier to manually keep your aim on track?

Sprint out speed is the time it takes for your gun to be ready after you stop sprinting.

Aim stability I will assume is less idle sway, ie. the movement you see in your gun when you're aiming down sights not doing any shooting.
 
Ugh, had an horrible night. Joined a losing team everytime, and I mean 70-200 on domination. Played Redwood where a guy camped with a sniper on am put of bounds area of the map. How I dunno. Had people quitting resulting in unbalanced teams. Sigh, just frustrated now. None of my matches was fun. Time for a blood break.

That's how I read the notes as well SMGs really don't need a sprint out buff. It's not like these guns have tons of idle sway either. I hate these new patch notes.

They really need to tone it down or at the very least dead silence should counter it. Right now even with dead silence they can hear you from way to far away. I hate hearing my own footsteps so I generally run dead silence anyways.

It and Vision Pulse are probably my least favorite specialist abilities. Vision Pulse has more utility, but the game is way too sensitive about getting Vision Pulse kills (you can kill someone who is still red but the game won't give you the medal for killing someone who was tagged by your vision pulse if you do it like more than 4 seconds after the ping). Plus, Vision Pulse has the downside of painting your position on the map when you use it, and if you ping and get no enemies highlighted, it still empties your ability completely, unlike say, bringing out the Ripper and getting killed before you can use it much.

Really frustrating.

Also, for those going for diamond on pistols. Here are some tips
Scavenger and fast hands are the only two perks you need
Scavenger is absolutely essential for any pistol that is not the MR6.
The RK5 is mind blowingly bad, you'll spend most of your time on that pistol.
Should be running high cal/fast mags 99% of the time for any pistol
Long barrel is fairly useless on pistols so don't bother
Likewise I can't imagine the suppressor making anything easier either (especially for long shot medals)
Treat the L-car as a mini smg instead of pistol (this gun surprised me with how good it was)
Don't bother running a primary weapon as you go through these.
Best maps for headshots are Combine, Aquarium, Breach, and Evac

Edit: Anyone up for some zombies?

I agree. There are a bunch of people who will be pissed that they cant get god scores though. Like its such a shitty thing the rest of the community has to tolerate. I shouldn't need to use headphones to compete with another player

I have it, Treyarch always delivers content that satisfies me. Although I'm also a big zombies fan so it does strengthen the value for me.

Yeah getting the double kill vision pulse challenge is so god damn hard because you literally have to kill a person right as they're pinged for it to count. Bullshit.

I always buy the whole package for 100 euro's that is including season pass. I do it every year and well even the bad ones i still wanted all maps.

I think the Golden Gun and Legolas are the 2 worst weapons.

I do suck with them though, so that's part of the reason.

What does LB do on SMGs again? I remember it not being worth it.

I hate the community segregation so I never support it regardless of quality. Halo 5 is doing it right & I wish more games adopted their philosophy. Oh well... You will all be back in the base playlists after the honeymoon period wears off though. (It always happens!) And I will be there waiting! :)

Increases minimum damage range.

So if it's a 3-5 shot kill, only the 5 shot kill range is extended, your 3 and 4 shot kill ranges stay exactly the same if I'm remembering correctly.
 
I don't agree. It's one of the best specialist weapons.

Nah it's great. It's a top tier ability since you can snipe with it, still alright up close if you're not sprinting and good at destroying scorestreaks as well.

Eh. I dont see why one wouldnt just choose the nade launcher or machine gun. Too many chances to miss a shot. I probably do just suck.

The ability is much better though. Total lifesaver for killstreak chaining

You don't need a headset. My perfectly placed 7.1 system works pretty well too. Are you playing with the Sound coming from your TV?

There will always be equipment, which gives players advantages in games. Headsets, faster TVs(input lag), professional controllers etc. So where to start and where to stop complaining?

Warmachine is worse because of its limited range and it is weaker if people use flak jacket. This gun is basically a rail gun in COD and it's pretty great. It is not as good as scythe, I'd agree on that.
 
Annihalator pistol sucks compared to everything else

I love it, but it's also really difficult to use. I'm 95% sure that on consoles that the Annihilator doesn't even have auto-aim so it actually takes real aiming skill to use. But it's really rewarding. You can snipe people from across the map with the thing and it can easily pick off scorestreaks if you need to use it for that purpose.

I'm actually thinking about getting this years season pass, but that's because I'm confident I'm gonna skip 2016's COD, especially if it's from the Ghost of Infinity Ward. I still think the idea of paying for 'just maps' is really silly, but I'm also primarily a PC gamer where we usually got that shit for free or through expansion packs with other stuff. As long as the quality is there it's fine, but at the same time you have games like Halo 5 where they're really doing right by making the maps all free. Helps get rid of shitty community segregation. I still remember in WaW where I got kicked out of lobbies because I didn't own all the DLC. Fuck that shit

War machine is awesome, espeically in objective based modes like HP, DOM, you can just send a few in an area, and flak jacket will only protect the first shot. You can also send them in rooms you know someone is in but can't see, and kill them.
