Thanks man.
And yeah, rolling thunder is very underpowered. I'd rather it not go down the whole map and simply cover the area I target. It's way too slow to accurately kill enemies.
Also, do you guys think this is the BEST Call of Duty in terms of perk balance?
It certainly seems that way to me.
Just look at this balance:
Tier 1: Sixth Sense, Overclock, Flak Jacket, Ghost.
Tier 2: Fast Hands, Ante Up, Hard Wired, Scavenger.
Tier 3: Blast Suppressor, Gung Ho, Awareness, Dead Silence, Tactical Mask.
Afterburner, Tracker, Engineer all seem like second class perks, and Blind Eye and Cold Blooded are going to be very dependent on the scorestreaks present.
Do you guys have any "Crutch" perks? I have to always use ante up. I need to probably get used to letting that go, but it's too often that I die just 100 points away from my streak, so I can't give it up.
Afterburner is great because if you look at Drift0r's wall run guides, many of the maps in the game can be circumnavigated without ever touching the ground once (however, this requires afterburner more often than not). It's a great perk for moving fast, stealthy, and unexpectedly IF you know how to traverse the map.
Tracker is godly for Search and Destroy, and is actually pretty useful when running around enemy territory (just follow the footprints and get a free kill most of the time).
Engineer is a MUST HAVE for any class working to take down kill streaks. You can see streaks through walls AND on your minimap (even the Wraith shows up as a red sillohoutte on the minimap and using Enginner lets you lock onto it while cloaked), and it works great with EMPs, Blackcells, Scavenger, Cold blooded, and Blind Eye.
Fast Hands is amazing ONLY if you use it in combination with QuickDraw (since you can only aim faster after sprinting when using them both) or if you use a lot of equipment.
Scavenger is nice for maintaining streaks and keeping your weapon.
Ghost is my must have perk. I hate it when people see me on the minimap and I'm always rushing so it's amazing to be able to sneak past people and get a lot of free kills.
Overclock works nice with things like the Ripper, Glitch, and Combat Focus.
Hard Wired protects you from A LOT, but it's psychological because you can't notice that it's actually protecting you (aside from obviously not being effected by Power Cores or CUAVs).
However, there is one perk that is DEFINITELY overpowered (or at least incredibly strong), and it is Awarness. Even with some cheap headphones, you can hear people through walls and from a mile away (ESPECIALLY if you use Awarness and Dead Silence together). I'm not joking, Awarness + Dead Silence + Supercrunch (sound setting) will make you practically immortal to the point of almost cheating. Personally, I don't use it because I'm just not that type of person, but you'll definitely notice an enemy using that combination (when in the kill cam they turn around for no apparent reason, or when they automatically figured out where you were). It sucks too, because Dead Silence DOES NOT counter Awareness (Awareness counters Dead Silence). I really feel like this perk is the only one that needs tweaking.
