It balances the teams out. So, say, jorge or someone that gets a ton of kills or something, won't be paired up with super players as to not unbalance matches -- at least from what I've seen, experienced and heard. Treyarch keeps spouting "connection is king!" and other BS, but the meat of it is, matchmaking is shit.
Not saying I'm super good, you're not, etc. It just handles it weirdly. Say, you're doing well, don't expect to be lumped in with the clan, since matches will be lopsided (this is logical). But, if there's a glut of bad players, the good ones are expected to carry them even if he's alone or with just one "non-scrub" player. Mind, this is from my experience, watching videos, etc. and no hard data. I've seen countless people on GAF, online and whatnot who are experiencing this. Best solution is to play Mercenary Moshpit so there's no parties involved.
I've lost count how many times I've been in games where the bottom four on my team can't even break 1K per round of Dom or sees a ton of guys dead and won't even attempt to get B.
It's like someone on Treyarch who handles team balancing and whatnot just wants scrubs to be able to get a W, but at the same time is telling good players to go give themselves an enema. :}

It's pretty well balanced. Same can be said of pretty much all the Black Ops games.

What attachments are you running on the razorback aside from the Elo? It looks like fast mags and stock?

From what I know, we rock the same Razorback setup (ELO, Suppressor, Fast Mags and Rapid Fire).
Nice. Dude, you do know you can make the Hellstorm rapidly go down and stuff, right? That's so enemies can't hide inside structures and you can even make it "hit" the floor for a big splash damage.

Matchmaking issues aside, yeah, Black Ops 3 is pretty balanced, which is surprising given how there's Specialists, etc.
It's certainly more balanced than AW where everyone was using the BAL. Or heck, I remember spamming the shit out of the FAL in autofire mode in Black Ops 2.
In Black Ops 3, almost every gun can be argued as the "best" in its class. SMGs have Pharo, Kuda, Razorback, Vesper; while ARs have XR-2, M8A7, etc.
Sidenote: Jorge, I couldn't join your squad since it's always full! I do get the invites though.

Yeah the game is well balanced.
Id say the only things off are scorestreak/blackcell balance and Vesper beating out shotguns. It feels much more easier to use vesper with the right attachments than run with a shotgun, especially since it also has better range than a shotgun.
Also, Im a little put off by some of the spawns, but it's not too bad on most maps.

It's my favorite. Less spastic then the vesper in my opinion. Got a nice climb to it as it fires.
Which guns are outclassed?
The shotguns are terrible for the most part, and snipers are hard, but other than the ICR and Weevil I feel like you've got a chance against anything but a close encounter with a Vesper.

I disagree, the Weevil and ICR are amazing weapons and easy to use. They fill a perfect niche and I don't find them to be outclassed at all. Both the Weevil and ICR are among the best weapons to use with a silencer and flank with.

I'm talking about a straight on gun fight, they're definitely outclassed. I love using the ICR, but you have to be smarter with it than most weapons.

Perhaps, but that's arguable depending on the circumstances. Admittedly, those two weapons do rely on catching enemies off guard.

Good games tonight everyone. Raked in like 220 keys so far this weekend. Not double xp, but still fun to get some swag at the end of the day.

. I too hate carrying my team, it's like they don't move unless I do. It was so bad trying to play dom when I was doing shotguns because no one would be there to compensate for my lack of range. Now that i'm doing lmgs I can't really cap points without dyingDamn I'm dreading doing the shotties, I've only dabbled in them casually so far and deemed them not my thing.

Think its the rate of fire on that Brecci, looks a bit crazy.

The guy on the killcam is using a Brecci shotgun, which does not shoot anywhere near that fast normally. The one that was on my game didn't have a silencer on (putting one on a shotgun is a bad idea) and it sounded ridiculous.

Can't really find a weapon I am comfortable with.
The KN-44 is good, but I find it to be inconsistent.
The ICR-1 is really good, but not having a Long Barrel is killing it for me and getting smacked by Vespers is fucking annoying.
The Man-O-War is nice but something about it feels off.
Haven't used the Shieva or the last one yet.
I like the Kuda, but it doesn't have enough range. Does a Long Barrel really help that one?

Haven't unlocked it yet. I prefer weapons with high ROF but decent accuracy and damage. My favorite weapon in AW was the SN6.

Well, take comfort in the fact that according to Treyarch's data, you're good enough that you're paired with scrubs.
That's why I've kinda accepted it. No doubt it's super shitty, but I don't think Treyarch will do anything since they never even acknowledge that there's a problem.
I'm kinda getting super annoyed with Black Ops 3, to be honest. At its core, it's a fun MP shooter. However, there's so much shit that it makes me not want to play it anymore and just go back to BF4.
Few things:
- Shit matchmaking (yeah, 7-4 games are F-U-N!)
- Shit team balancing (as you've highlighted, and has happened to everyone)
- That quaking thing that happens at random. I pick up a lot of guns since I rock only one, and whenever I do, yep, quake and I have to wait a few seconds for it to stop.
- Shit connections. This will never get fixed since Acti doesn't really need to spring for dedicated servers due to CoD audience accepting whatever shit they want.
- Joining me in games where the score is 40-120 (Dom) and scorestreaks all over the place.
Just the tip of the iceberg, friends!
If you want an SMG with range and accuracy, use Razorback. Perfect for you. Super minimal recoil, too!
ARs, use XR-2 and M8A7. But for medium to long range engagements since they're burst fire. Well, you can use them up close but you're going to die due to Vespers and whatnot.

Great rof, great for close range, but can also kill at a distance
Razorback is even better at a distance, and less recoil (very accurate), but slower rate of fire - hence why I use rapid fire with it and problem solved
Definitely give a try when you can the pharo, and Razorback. I permanently unlocked both.
