PS4. And I wasn't exaggerating. Realistically, I never played more than 2 matches in a row because I kept quitting to tweak the classes and get used to the new UI but I literally played nothing but that one map for at least 100~120 mins.
Weird, seeing as I've had no further problems ever again.

Man, this game is such a step backwards from AW... it really is a shame how the dudebro community keeps dragging these games down. It's clearly not Treyarch's fault as they've crafted a fantastic package here, but it's such a shame to see the IP regress again after AW finally jumpstarted it back into relevance.
Still, great game, so far!
Really not sure about the specialist mechanic, do we really need a flurry of overpowered abilities just for the sake of excess? Judging by the 3 I've unlocked so far (sparrow, spikes and grenade thingy), these seem to be way too powerful considering you'll easily get them at least 3 or 4 times per match...
Also, why aren't these a part of the custom class system? Just make it 11 instead of 10 and voilá.
----
By the way, how are the killstreak rewards in this game? Haven't really seen anything except for the UAV, Hellstorm and RCs so far. Am I correct in assuming that is because they're still toned down like in AW or are we back to the retardedly overpowered arsenals of previous games?
----
Edit.
Just remembered... as someone who is bored to death of COD campaigns, is it worth it to play through this one to unlock the Zombie campaign?
You've been very unlucky with map rotation, then. I mean I don't even think I've had that much bad luck with Combine (it's not even a bad map), especially after they made some tweaks. I would guess that it's because you back out of lobbies to change your classes and such. If you stay in a lobby, you're only able to play the same map twice (the initial match + voting for it again), afterwards you can no longer vote for it and must choose either the other map or random. At least you're not having problems.

Could you elaborate as to how this is a step backwards from AW? Personally, I feel like this game is practically flawless and a step forward. Advanced Warfare was the worst CoD I've ever played (no joke, I had a better time with Ghosts).

I wouldn't call them overpowered. At the most, some could get annoying. The abilities don't really kill, they're usually there to provide other forms of assistance (escape, distraction, extra score, wall hacks, extra speed, invisibility, coming back to life, bulletproof armor, and so on). The weapons are strong, but whenever I get killed by them I hardly get annoyed. Most of the times I get killed with a specialist weapon, it's usually because I was stupid/it's my fault, and NOT because "oh, he was using something clearly superior." On average, abilities are earned faster than weapons
Ruin has the Gravity Spikes and Overdrive. Gravity spikes can easily get you multiple kills if used over an objective. However, you jump in the air and stay in the air for a while, make a loud noise (your weapons make noise too), can be killed while in the air, and enemies can dodge the impact by boosting in the air. Overdrive is simple, it gives you a ENORMOUS boost of speed for quite a while. Perfect for heading from point A to point B or for opening rush routes.
Outrider has the Sparrow, a bow. It has 8 arrows, and when pulled back they fly quite fast. You can impale multiple enemies with one arrow, and they're explosives, so even the blast radius may kill enemies with flak jacket. A direct impact will always kill, though. However, people can use flak jacket, plus the bow's rate of fire is slow and you have to account for travel time (the arrows take a while to land), making this a precision weapon. Her ability is Vision Pulse, in which you can see enemies through walls that are within a certain radius. However, if you use it, enemies are able to see the radius of your pulse, and you appear on the mini map for a second once you actually use this ability. If an enemy is tagged (you can see him through walls), he appears as red and thus the enemy knows he can be seen.
Prophet uses the Tempest, a gun that fires electricity. If an enemy is shot, they will be electrocuted in place for a moderate amount of time. If enemies are nearby, the electricity will ark towards them, and kill them too. Perfect for chaining many kills if enemies are together. However, it shoots pretty slow and it doesn't fire as soon as you pull the trigger (if you pull the trigger, it needs to charge up a little bit before you actually shoot it). He also has Glitch, which lets him hack the simulation and go back in time (a certain distance in which he goes back to where he once was). Perfect for whenever you find yourself in a sticky situation and want to leave.
Battery uses the War Machine, a grenade launcher. Kills instantly with direct impacts. The grenade splits into three of it touches anything that isn't a player. It can be devastating in enclosed spaces and is really destructive when clearing a room. However, in open areas it's not as effective and those with flak jacket will survive (not the direct impacts, though. She has kinetic armor, armor that will deflect all bullet weapons (effectively given the enemy 250 health). However, she's still weak to explosives, melee, and headshot damage.
Seraph uses the Annihalator. The golden gun, can kill anyone at any distance. The fire rate is abysmal, so don't miss. It's a pocket cannon, and good for destroying streaks. A miniature sniper of sorts that can easily destroy streaks. She has combat focus, which grants you extra bonus score multiplier (200 points per kill instead of 100, 300 points for capturing instead of 100). Best used when you plan on getting a lot of score quickly. The faster you earn score, the more you'll be able to get (since with each piece of score you earn, the ability diminishes, but the ability also diminished with time).
Nomad can use the HIVE, a weapon that lets you shoot 5 loss anywhere on the map. If an enemy walks near one, they'll be eating alive. However, the pods can be seen through walls with engineer and disappear if the enemies kill you. He has Rejack, which (when ready) allows you to come back to life after dying (not keeping your streaks). When you die with it ready, it's very obvious that you might Rejack since there's green smoke all over you and you have a few seconds to choose life or death.
Reaper uses the Scythe, a minigun that fires 20 rounds a second and kills if three bullets it. The best anti-scorestreak and anti-infantry weapon, it is the one the charge at the slowest. If you hip fire, you need to wait for it to spin up before firing. If you aim, it fires instantly but you can barely move at all. Really good at locking down corridors from cover. His ability is psychosis, in which he summons three clones that walk in random directions to distract enemies. However, the clones only run (they're useless underwater), so the moment the user does anything besides running, they're distinguishable.
Spectre is one of my favorites because of his weapon (as is Seraph because of her ability), the ripper. The fastest charging weapon by far, and easily obtainable 10+ times in a game. Essentially, once it's charged you'll noticed a red lock on when enemies are nearby. Activating the weapon with enemies that are locked on will cause you to lunge towards them with a mini light saber and end eradicate them (giving you 150 points). After that, the weapon begins diminishing as time passes (it diminishes faster the more you run), and while the weapon is active, your melee button will cause you to quickly and efficiently lunge and knife anyone you come across (but you can still use your weapons if you wish). The best weapon to use if attacking from behind or rushing spawns. His ability is Cloak, which makes him mostly invisible for a short time (5 seconds?). If you shoot, you'll become visible. It has its uses. Spectre is just badass, he's an assassin and his lines are the best. "You've seen my work, it speaks for itself." "Oh, your survived? Reward enough." "I am become death, the destroyer of scrubs." "It wouldn't take a cleaner to wipe you out, a janitor would suffice." "Just follow my trail of corpses."
Firebreak can use the purifier, a flamethrower that is useless underwater. It has decent range, but can't kill ay long range whatsoever. The moment enemies are touched by the flames, they are guaranteed to die. However, it takes a second or two for them to die, so make sure they won't be able to kill you in that time frame. This weapon can massacre people if used in close range effectively, easily clearing out rooms. His ability is heat wave. Once activated anyone nearby will be unable to move and have distorted vision, pretty much granting free kill(s) unless firebreak is directly in front of those who are effected.

In this game, the scorestreaks are amazing, yet simultaneously they're easy to take down/counter. It all depends on the adequacy of your team. The Blackcell launcher is powerful and has four rockets, able to take down every streak in the game except for one in one life (however, if there are multiple large streaks, obviously you'll run out of rockets or get killed). Specialist weapons make it easy to talk down streaks as well, and the black hat tactical grenade makes it possible to take over enemy streaks (though it was nerfed badly). The Power Core also destroys any streaks on the map.
The only streak that I don't think is worth it is the Rolling Thunder, a carpet bomb. It takes a while to enter, and enemies usually find cover in time.
Okay! Time to go over some streaks:
Dart: A controllable plane that can shoot three rockets at enemies or streaks. The plane itself is a rocket and can dive bomb enemies and streaks once ammo is out. It can lock on to enemies or streaks.
The Lightning Strike is nice, and once pulled out it shows you where enemies are so that you can choose three locations on the map where planes moving at Mach 2 will drop bombs on. However, when you pull out the streak to choose the bomb locations, the enemies will hear "enemy lightning strike targeting systems online." It's advised to pull out the streaks and then pull it back in and use it later. The second time you pull it out, enemies won't hear that announcement.
The Cerberus is a pretty good autonomous (optionally remote controlled) miniature tank with a minigun and rockets. They buffed the AI so by itself it's actually quite good. Although some say it's best when controlled.
The Talon is practically an airborne Cerberus but without rockets and much smaller. When left alone, it follows and protects you, but is quite loud. It's controlled 90% of the time, it can wreck people like that.
The Wraith is the favorite of most. A stealth attack drone that doesn't appear on the enemy map unless they have engineer. You can choose where it spawns, but it moves on its own anyway, so the middle is the best bet. It takes three shots to kill, and the minigun attached to it decimates people. On its own, it is usually a hit or miss depending on what your enemies decide to do. If left in the air, it will do work. However, enemies can take it down quickly.
The RAPS are awesome. When called in, a deploy ship will fly around the map, dropping spiky balls of death that roll around the map and explode near enemies. They're equivalent to dogs, except they can't jump (making them easy to kill if you're standing on a high ledge accessible only by jumping). The deploy ship takes four shots to destroy, and if taken down no more RAPS will spawn. Again, it is hit or miss on its own and depends on your enemies. HOWEVER, when combined with the Wraith, they make a deadly duo. Enemies are often overwhelmed when they're both active at the same time. Plus, considering that the Wraith kills those who are exposed and RAPS kills those who are indoors, they work well together and usually cause each other to not get destroyed.
The HATR shows enemy direction and position on the map in real time, but it can be shot down in three rockets. It's incredibly hard to see without engineer.
The Power Core messes up enemy HUD, movement systems (to an extent), and equipment/streaks. Anything active will be immediately destroyed.
The GI Unit is practically a mobile juggernaut set to hardened/veteran difficult (thanks to a recent buff). It can be set to escort (in which it follows you) or patrol mode (in which it patrols the part of the map that you were looking at once you set it to that mode. It is arguably really good for a defensive streak, but it's not too offensive since it lacks the coverage that RAPS or Wraiths have.
Finally, the Mothership is by far my favorite (I've called in 200+ so far, an manage an average of 11+ kills per use). If one is called in against you, it essentially guarantees a loss. The only time you can lose if an friendly Mothership is active is if your teammates are THAT bad. It takes 7-9 rockets to take down, and the person who calls it in is armed with a chain gun that has infinite ammo and rockets. The pilot can also move the ship around to try to get a better angle. Furthermore, two teammates can join in (for a total of three people on the ship) and take control of secondary turrets (which can overheat) for excellent coverage. It's also possible to switch between an ordinary or thermal camera (I prefer thermal). This thing can only be taken down by a Power Core or with the full attention and dedication of the enemy team (even then it will take a while). It only takes one shot with the chain gun to get a kill (two with flak jacket), so it absolutely destroys. However enemies do have spawn protection and take a while to get killed if they come off of spawn.
Phew, I hope I helped!
Edit: If you're on PS4 and want a teammate that is actually competent and usually wins, add me. I'm sure that it will make it much easier for you to get used to the game and have fun.
