Can someone explain to me why the fuck people lined up for this? Walmart and BB both had a million copies today. Seriously. This isn't a fucking iPhone where of you didn't get the 1st shipment you may be sol for a month. These games are restocked everyday. Why even all the fucking fuss about per-ordering? Just walk in a damn store and buy it. Jesus.
Your argument was sort of incoherent. People line up because they want to come home and play it immediately after midnight. It's not a matter of the product running out. Also, pre-ordering is so they can just show the receipt and make the buying process faster for people.Paradoxal_Utopia said:

Ouch, total waste of $65, especially after buying BF3.
At least if the quality were on par I would play both, but BF's gotten so far ahead in quality that I cant see why I would play this latest MW installment.
I know some people enjoy the speed/arena style of MW, and Im not knocking your taste, just for me it just seems like the MW series has ground to a halt in advancing its style of FPS and to be honest, took a step back in fun.
I dont know, the arena/speed aspect of MW just felt "better" in earlier titles, the speeds still there but, I dont know, it just doesnt seem impressive anymore nothing grabs me. I feel as if Ive spent money on an overpriced map pack with some changes that arent all that exciting as the additions/changes that accompanied prior games in the series.

I am getting tremendous framerate issues on PS3. WTF Glenn Schofield or whoever you douche. You said PS3 version would be up to par. Probably going to return this for the 360 version tomorrow. Game seems amazing, but these slowdown issues suck. Seems like I am playing with bad lag but I got 4 bars. Game freezes for half a second every 5 seconds or so.

First impressions after 3 hours. Game is fun, but health is a huge problem. I feel I am dying a ton faster than any previous games. Im not amazing at CoD but I usually keep a k/d ratio of at least 1.3 or so, tonight? 0.70.
All the maps feel tiny and it seems like I just get a majority of unlucky deaths where a guy happened to run out behind me, as opposed to dying because I did something wrong,
I really hope they patch in a bit of a health boost, I think that would make a huge difference. I am like 80 deaths over kills, that's nuts for me.

I like the design of a lot of the mp maps. Encountered a lot of bugs in Spec Ops on PC though, seems like when the game de-syncs with 2 players it doesn't quit the match but keeps two separate instances of the game going. It's pretty bizarre.
I kinda regret buying this for the mulitplayer. Im sure SP is going to be great. I thought MW2 had great single player despite the haters.
That said. as far as MP goes. The series just seems to be devolving on the infinity ward side and BOPS acutally felt like a step in the right direction it terms of gunplay and design. From what ive played it plays like timesplitters 2 with modern guns. We've gone from really nicely designed 'make your own way path' outdoor maps of mw1 to quake style corridor spraying, blind corners, one or two long chock points.
It wouldn't have been so noticeable had BF3 been crappy. But i really think Dice created something special that seems to draw every last bit of power out of the aging consoles.
My personal opinion is the good map design talent left infinity ward.
