Flawless for every other game available on any platform. NAT settings are open.
In any case, even if you take the bad netcode out of the equation, you still have the bad maps, the bad weapon balance, the bad killstreak balance, and the complete lack of any gameplay evolution whatsoever.
Sledgehammer is cruising to a big paycheque with this game, but they've done their studio no favors as far as establishing a reputation.
This is B-Tier stuff at best.
Jeez.. I know how you feel though I can't say I've been on your position. You got your ass kicked in the game and just can't take it anymore, so instead of wondering if perhaps you are not as good, or your connection is bad, you decide to blame it all on the game.
The maps are not bad. A couple of them are (Downturn and Carbon), but the rest are alright, and when you actually learn them, they feel pretty good. Not CS-good, but good enough for the kind of gameplay involved in this game (respawning all the time, etc..)
The weapons not well balanced is a first. There are a couple that might be slightly overpowered as some people say here, but I have beaten people with those weapons, so it's not like they are unstoppable. I actually think this is the best balanced COD game.
The killstreaks are fine as they are. I really don't know what game are you talking about. Perhaps you bought MW2 instead? That would explain a lot of things.
What gameplay evolution where you expecting though? Really, this feels like a COD game, and that's what everybody came in expecting.
Sledgehammer has worked on what could be the best COD campaign of the last few years. They surely did good enough and everybody here is saying pretty much the same.
The game is far from perfect, and I think the worst things right now are the three or four maps that suck the most, and Elite not being up. Otherwise it's good as it is.
