Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 |OT| Got 99 Problems, But Sales Ain't One.

I am so damn sick of random players. They constantly grief me by following me all over the map because I'm a higher player. I guarantee at least half of my deaths are because of randoms sticking their heads out and getting me killed because they have no clue what they're doing. Not to mention the morons who stand in door ways or just plain won't move and I get shot at while trying to get out of the way. IW has to make a fix where you pass through team mates unencumbered. BO was never like this.

so they should bend the laws of reality just for your convenience? I know it's not a totally realistic game, but that's extreme

Just another generic post about the 2XP bonus stuff.
If anyone is participating, here's my trade list: I have pretty much everything available to trade but still need a couple: My trade list.

On topic, I haven't played the game since Tuesday, but I can't imagine it has gotten much worse, contrary to what the posts are saying.. I'll find out for myself tonight!

I remember reading before the game came out that secondary weapons (at least machine pistols and pistols) were getting camos, guess that was bullshit. :(

So why aren't you using that to your advantage?

Knowing that they are going to lead the enemy to you why don't YOU use them as bait, instead of them using you? And I recall plenty of instances in black ops with noobs standing in doorways.

How do you get the "Weapon Proficiency Challenge" ?

I'm like 10/11 just by using its Attachments, but can't seem to get that last one. :/

It's crazy how good this game is. Other than some blatant hacks, this is the most smooth and pleasant COD experience I've had. Air clutter is down, the support stuff is just brilliant, and kill confirmed makes ALL the difference in getting the pace up in the matches. Since I play strictly "forward mid-center CHARGE!" anyway, it's like they made a game mode for ME.

Ace production.

I'd love to get you on my team and catch you in a corner. As long as I don't die, you won't be able to get out unless you kill yourself.

And you completely misunderstood what I meant. Woody's Gamertag said it better than myself so here you go:

Open Letter to IW

Player collision is near rage inducing.

So why aren't you using that to your advantage?

Knowing that they are going to lead the enemy to you why don't YOU use them as bait, instead of them using you? And I recall plenty of instances in black ops with noobs standing in doorways.

Most of my problem comes with them spawning when I'm sneaking around by myself. I look at the map and no one is there. I think I'm being quiet and alone then I end up dying. When I watch the killcam I see a random was right behind me standing up and I didn't see them because the color arrows for myself and my team mates override each other. If someone is right behind me, my arrow seems to completely obscure his. I understand that the arrow overlays are pretty good, but I should be able to tell someone is behind me on my own team without having having to check the map every time someone on my team dies.

I'm fine for the most part with randoms, it's just when they spawn right behind me and I've completely flanked the enemy. Why in the world did you spawn a team mate behind me when there are 3+ enemies right in front of me.

I run with dead silence, assassin, and blind eye alot due to specialist. I'm nigh-invisible unless someone physically sees me. My perk streaks are counteracted by my team mates and the screwy spawn system.

That are just a few of my niggling remarks, I mostly just needed to vent.

And I'm sure you have NEVER done this, fresh in your boots and thrown into a frightening new environment.

I have never once done anything like that thanks ;). I actually played the SP in CoD4 for about two months before I even tried to go online. Also when I learned MP for the first time, I didn't follow high ranks thinking it would help me. I'm just not that dense.

No random I've played with today ever in about 15 matches took out a launcher to take down a uav, pavelow, or helo. I was annoying how many times I had to change classes to take that crap down. I did get a few of those accolades though that I haven't seen before.

Last night was pretty damn good for playing with randoms. This morning and this early afternoon not so much. I wish their matchmaking would put me with more people who are higher rank or have at least prestiged.

I'm loving kill confirmed and multiplayer overall. The only three things I have a problem with are the Type 95 is too powerful and Mission/Downturn have got to be the worst maps in existence.

I actually like Mission now (staying on the perimeter helps), but Downturn is the worst fucking map I have ever played in any video game, ever. I refuse to believe that they spent more than an hour putting it together. It's just such a clusterfuck.

Village is pretty bad too.

I really don't like resistance, not that it's a bad map, I'm just not sure the best way to play it. I never perform well on it.

The two maps I actively dislike are Village and Interchange. Just can't wrap my head around how to effectively move around, so frustrating.
On the other end, Underground is easily my favourite so far.

Are you premium? Did you wait a little bit before watching? It takes a while for it to convert to 720.

If you're not premium you only get 30 seconds and low res.

im not premium, it's been uploaded since last night.
so i have to get premium to get 720p? you sure it's not an xbox exclusive?

haha, the kill mic is amazing.

today I spotted a guy indoors and decided to throw a grenade as my clip was empty and I didn't have time to reload. To my bad luck the grenade didn't go in but stuck on the window frame outside. Even worse, the guy spotted my struggle with the grenade and loading my weapon and came running out and around the corner towards me. I backed out and ducked and just as he passed the window the grenade exploded. The best bit was the extremely loud WHAT THE FUUUUUUUCK!!?? through the kill mic

Did they change Makarov's VA? He sounds impish in this game. I couldn't take him seriously during the campaign and I chuckle when I hear him on Seatown.

You're assumption in this regard provided a good laugh.

Seriously, that voice actor is SO bad, especially in MP.

Thread needs more discussion on the campaign, which is simply sensational.

I am playing through it with a big goofy grin on my face. It's like being the star in a ridiculously over the top action movie. Can't remember the last time I had this much fun with a videogame.

Even though the multiplayer in this game sucks, Spec-Ops is fantastic. Survival mode is especially fun with a friend and makes for a great split-screen experience.

I'm really liking the game. Even though it's basically it's a rehash of every Call of Duty, there's just that addicting quality that makes me back for more. Having said that, the net code for this game is terrible. If I am not the host, or someone has a slightly better connection than me, I will lose nearly every gun fight. It infuriates me that I will get first shot and I will still lose the gun fight because the game's poor net code will impede the game from registering my shots, or not even register me shooting. For fucks sake, change the net code.

While all the maps have varying degrees of quality, Village is the only one I truly hate. Who the fuck thought a map with no chokepoints and the most unfriendly color scheme ever was a good idea? Ugh.

Surprised so many people dislike Downturn. It's not a very sniper friendly map if you're playing it in Ground War, but I've had some great matches on it otherwise.

EDIT: I'm split on Interchange too, but my first experience with the map was the Wii version where it drops to 3 FPS in firefights on that map so.... It's a good kill confirmed map, but not a great map for Ground War.

The biggest way I can tell these maps aren't clicking with me is I only recognize half by name. The others I have to Google search. HQ on Interchange is fantastic though. Playing with a specialist killstreak is the way to go on that level. So easy to absolutely destroy the enemy team and I'm probably just over average.

And I must say, following a "high ranking" player is something I've never even heard of. Are you sure you aren't just running in the same direction as the team. I mean, in every multiplayer game ever people usually run the same direction at the start of the match and even follow each other. That's why when one or two people break away and run the other direction they rack up the kills.

While all the maps have varying degrees of quality, Village is the only one I truly hate. Who the fuck thought a map with no chokepoints and the most unfriendly color scheme ever was a good idea? Ugh.

I'm indifferent with Village. If people ignore the natural side it's better. If I'm in a game with two equal teams the chokepoint becomes about half way through the village area where there's a little door to pass through.

The final mission was one of the coolest campaign missions in any of the CoD's. Up there for me with the prison break sequence in MW2 and Black Ops. I still think the prison break mission in Black Ops (I think its the second mission in the game) is the best in a CoD ever.

Sniper mission in Cod 4, man. Stuff legends are made of.

I'd say that the area around the white truck is the textbook definition of a chokepoint considering it has around 5 different paths meeting at that area (the cliff, the valley, the cave, the two narrow village paths, and the path on the outside of the map right next to the cave)

Black Ops prison break lvl is where I stopped. Think, I was playing on the higher difficulty and fuck the endless respawns.
