you can even unlock rapid fire for the burst weapons now so it's gonna be OP like a motha!
Sounds like it. I was hoping I could do without Quickdraw, but I think I'm gonna need it if it's really "whoever shoots first wins".Radec said:So its like evryone got stopping power in mw3?
TBH I don't recall a time where that was ever not the case in COD. To me it has always been whoever shoots first wins, barring any human error in aiming and all that.vatstep said:Sounds like it. Feindflug said:I haven't seen much of the MP yet but I have to agree that the game looked kinda bland in the SP (played the 360 version) - besides two levels that looked pretty awesome and maybe were the best showcase of the CoD engine till now the game overall looked worse than Black Ops & MW2, really inconsistent-looking game...the frame-rate though was very good with some small drops here and there but overall it was very smooth even at the most crowded and demanding situations.
The SP was a fun ride overall (4:49 @ Normal) - the absence of enemy respawns was enough for me to enjoy the game more than I expected.

Kinda sad that people die that fast. Or are we missing something here?
Bring back COD4. Turning around when getting shot at and then ripping through that guy was perfect.
You're right I guess I meant whoever sees the other first wins. Meaning if I get into ADS and land hitmarkers a nano-second faster than the other person, I might have an advantage thanks to that perk.-Pyromaniac- said:TBH I don't recall a time where that was ever not the case in COD. Still do that on the reg in blops.Wimps said:Wow.

When I try to sign up, I can't even create an account. The next button is perminatly grayed out.oddworld18 said:for all the people having trouble with the Elite registration page (the "re-type your password" box getting a red X):
Your password has to have a capital letter and a number. It doesn't tell you that anywhere, but changing that fixed it for me and a friend.
As far as I can tell you still can't "complete" registration by linking a gamertag til you actually pop in MW3 on Tuesday.
Nice, it looks like killstreak kills count towards your total kill count.Full Metal Jacket said:

Don't know about grenades and such, but most impressions indicate that the noobtube has been extremely nerfed it's not even a guaranteed kill with a nearly-direct hit.Lionheart1827 said:So for the people that have it, how nerfed are explosives/noobtubes? Any fuckasses running around and causing havoc?
In MW2, there was a perk where you could basically have unlimited grenade launcher ammo. It was fairly annoying, to say the least.Teknoman said:The sounds are pretty powerful if that youtube video is any indication.
EDIT: Is it just that people dont like Grenade launchers in CoD in general, or the way people used them?

If it's the same damage as COD4 then I'm not worried anymore.

TestOfTide said:How badly? Are we talking compared to black Ops or just compared to MW2? Because that would suck if long range weapons all get a damage increase but shotguns get nerfed.
EDIT: I just watched some vids. The guns don't seem to have damage increase, it's just that when you go from treyarch servers to IW, you notice that ALL of your bullet that should have hit do hit.

Mostly useful for softening enemies camping in a room or on an objective or whatever.

I'm watching the IGN live stream from a few days ago and it seems so. I don't remember them sounding like that in the previous games. They sound better to me.Teknoman said:The sounds are pretty powerful if that youtube video is any indication.

I figured it was server stuff. This also confirms my thoughts that the AK47's damage nerf with a silencer or red dot was NOT a mistake but deliberate balancing.SMZC said:Weapon damage was exactly the same in MW2 and COD4. The difference was the minimal recoil and non-existent sway in MW2, that's why it seemed that people died quicker in that game (also, improved hit detection). In MW3, when shooting someone outside of your weapon's effective range, you will do less damage than in COD4/MW2; otherwise, weapon damage is just as in COD4/MW2. MW3 also brings the sway and recoil back from COD4. On the other hand, there are proficiencies to reduce either of these.
Overall, considering all these variables, I guess the speed at which people die in MW3 is a nice middle point between MW2 and COD4.

I think it's actually for the racing game, Blur, which may explain why my email in the Activision DB is so screwy.
