Pretty much my impression aswell. It will be delayed, 100% based on that footage.
Yep, gore in di2 looked way better. From someone who hates anything related to horror, this looks less frightening than Dead Space? The ability to pull and push enemies seems amazingly overpowered, even without that grinder in the middle of the room. Also, Dead Island 2 seems to be gorier and the carnage looks better? But again this is only 3 mins of gameplay.
I was hoping it was as soon as I saw the in-game screenshot. I really like her acting in The Boys and I'm very excited to see her appear in more movies. Just found out that she was also the katana chick from Suicide Boys which is funny considering I thought she was the most charismatic one of the whole bunch despite getting only 5 minutes of screen-time.Oh shit, is that the cute ass Karen Fukuhara?

I was expecting the worst based on this thread but it looked awesome to me, The Evil Within / Dead Space. Definitely 100% still in.
All these frame rate complaints, It's 2022 and people still don't know performance is the last thing to get ironed out in development.
I mean... yeah, sure. But they could have recorded gameplay using some beastly rig instead in the mean time. Too many games shown at Gamescom had weird frame rate issues, I understand it isn't the final product, but you are showcasing and trying to sell your games.... bad framerates in a presentation just leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Still, I hope the frame issues are sorted and that the game has DLSS as this is 1of 2 games I'm really looking forward to in 2022.
Hmmmm....... why would they do that? Not a great showing. Forced gameplay to show certain powers.
Matt saw new footage of The Callisto Protocol, and came back with a list of reasons why it isn't just Dead Space 4. Mutations, work benches, powers, and a slew of other changes make this a game all its own.
Why do you think it wasn't already being run on a beastly rig? I bet it wasI mean... yeah, sure. But they could have recorded gameplay using some beastly rig instead in the mean time. We sat down with The Callisto Protocol dev, Mark James, to talk about how the upcoming survival horror game is reinventing what it means to be a horror game. The Callisto Protocol is being developed by Striking Distance Studios and directed by Glen Schofield, creator of the Dead Space franchise.
