Can anyone identify this computer/console/pong/whatever?

Ok, not the greatest photo ever, but anyway, anyone know what this is? I've never seen anything like it before.. Two dials suggest it's a pong of some sort but I can't find any pong machine that looks like this one.. Anyone know the brand and model?

it's an early intellivision model.

edit - bastard argyle.. :P beat me by a few seconds. :P

Those "dials" are actually part of the controller that slid onto the unit, for easier carrying (Which would be a pretty good idea for todays machines).

Intellivision baseball was one of the best games from that generation. Games used to come with a "template" that would slide into the controller OVER the keypad. So, each game had the potential to use 10 buttons. It was pretty cool.

An example of a template:

Here is a detailed look at the Intellivision controller:

That indeed is the original Intellivision.

The "dials" as mentioned, are part of the controller. They are 16-way joypadesque discs.

Intelligent Television - next to the Colecovision!

Ah, Pitfall on one and baseball on the other - that brings back memories. One of my friends had one and another had the other. Both were beyond my means while I was saving for my first car.
