I ended up going to the Purolator store and signing up for a signature waiver sticker. You stick it on your front door and Purolator will just leave the package inside the door. They scan the barcode on the sticker. No more failed deliveries!
I'd totally do that if I didn't live where I lived haha

So for those without a pre-order, who's calling first thing in the morning to see if they can put Lucario on hold for them?
YMMV but they won't put any on hold unless you're friends with the employee or manager.
I expect a lineup at every toys r us.. At least Half of them scalpers.

Actually, the Toys R Us I go to said they were willing to put an amiibo on hold for me. That's how I was able to get Little Mac. I'm hoping that it will work a second time with Lucario.
And Ike and Dedede if I'm lucky and they get more of them.

Damn lucky you. Sucks that I have to work at a diff location on Fridays or else I'd be right there at toys r us at opening.
Thankfully I am getting it in a swap :)

One of my friends works at the Toys R Us at Sherway Gardens and he told me an employee is holding most of the Lucarios for himself lol

He was complaining to me about having to deal with angry customers tomorrow.
 
is Toys R Us imposing one per customer?

My store is doing 1 per customer. Giving out tickets in the line. After 20 people in the line they will be telling them there are no more. The line will be escorted to electronics and the Lucarios will be in their boxes and handed out to the people in line based on the order of their ticket.

Call the one you plan to go to and ensure they are doing this and raise hell if not. The 1 per person limit was announced on their Twitter so they at least have to do that.

Tell him to report him to management.

Seriously! No one likes a narc but your friend needs to tell management this guy is being an asshat.

Heck. You don't even have to do it. Post which ToysRUs it is and someone here will I'm sure. Call the store up, ask to speak to management. And question the manager as to why they are allowing such practices in their store. Point out the twitter comment as well.
 
Er...so for those earlier today who had a Rosalina sitting in your cart and checked out with it...can you check your order status and confirmation email and see if it actually says Rosie, or if it says Peach. Cause mine...says SMB PEACH!

Wow that's just asking for trouble to hold a bunch of advertised limited items. Firstly, the person has been outed and no will have extra attention. Now the manager is going to find the reasoning for their lack of supply and when the numbers don't match the inventory.

Is it really worth it? Jeez.
 
I don't understand how Toys R Us got all of Wave 3 including Rosalina and Lucario (but can't sell him until tomorrow) on Tuesday yet EB Games Canada still hasn't recieved shipments for Mega Man and Sonic.

I'm still waiting on my Mega Man from my EB preorder in store. Come on EB!!!
 
Ok so yeah my "Rosalina" order from this morning did in fact magically get switched to SMB Peach. It's cancelled now.

INTERESTING NOTE

Speaking to the CS of ebgames. He stated they may as well be called Amiibo Customer Service now. That's the only calls they've been getting the past few days AND...

When I asked how many Rosie's they had to sell online...he said under 60.

So on Tuesday my Toys R Us set a Lucario aside for me and taped a sheet of paper with my name on it. They even showed me the actual amiibo under the desk at Electronics.

...now I'm worried that they won't honour that reservation since I hear they aren't setting them aside anymore.... Oh well. I plan on lining up tomorrow morning, but I'm still nervous.

Snagged Toon Link, Rosalina and Bowser today. Amiibo count up to 15. I'm short all the out of print ones I guess.

So EB shipped the Rosalina figure that I ordered earlier that reappeared in our carts.

The invoice does say Rosalina so...we'll see what happens. I did also order a DK with it, so maybe they shipped that alone.

Mine didn't ship yet and all I had was Rosa. Hopefully you didn't just get DK.

Yeah you'll need to keep me updated on that. Like I mentioned above, mine turned into SMB Peach. And to find out now that they had less then 60 to sell online...
