There's a 20x almost every month. The gift card promo is only once a year. Now's not a bad time to stock up on points though as there's usually a bonus redemption around late Nov/early Dec. Also, with the way the dollar keeps going south, if a Smash bundle or other new bundle should come out it will probably be priced higher in Canada than the US like what happened with the MK8 bundle in the summer being an extra $30 or so.

Anyone here familiar with Ontario's consumers protection laws? Long story short I ordered a graphic card a month ago online (from an Ontarian store, I'm in QC) and it showed in stock for days even after I ordered it. It doesn't ship after a week then later availability suddenly changes to ships in November. I get no email whatsoever from them so I contact customer support and they tell me it will ship next Tuesday/Wednesday. Come Wednesday nothing happens, so I contact them again and they tell me they didn't receive enough to fill all orders and it will ship early next week. Early next week I contact them and now they think it will ships before Friday. I contacted them last Friday night and they tell me their shipment was delayed but it should be there on Monday. Still nothing in sight. It seems like they keep making excuse all the time and they blame Asus.
I want to cancel it but they don't seem very cooperative. Is it legal to advertise something as in stock but not ship it in 3-4 weeks?

It sure would be nice if midnight launches existed in this country. I don't want to wait until morning to pick up my copy of Smash.
EB says they need 100 pre-orders to hold a midnight launch, and with Pokemon ORAS out the same day, I have been told at the EB I preordered at that Smash midnight launches are a possibility. If you really want one, maybe call the store and ask. I don't understand why EB doesn't get the demand for Smash Bros., but they didn't care when Wii games were flying off the shelves either so who knows.
It sure would be nice if midnight launches existed in this country. I don't want to wait until morning to pick up my copy of Smash.

Has anyone noticed that the big retailers don't seem to be stocking eShop cards as much lately? At least in Dartmouth:
- Best Buy: Sold out and at least at one store, not even carried
- FutureShop: Gone
- EB Games: None visible
- Target: Just has the $20s since the last sale, god help me come the 14th
- Shoppers: Only has $50s left

Did you order from ncix? If not, maybe you could cancel your current order and pricematch it at ncix. I've never had any problems with them.
Wait, Asus? Is this the gtx 970 strix card? It seems like a lot of retailers had trouble fulfilling their orders on that one.

Target, Shoppers, and (believe it or not) 7-11 are the best places to go to. Best Buy is a joke, which is probably why they won't exist ten years from now. Their shelves are never stocked properly.

Ordered the blue Dual Shock 4 for on the Source website as it's in-stock right now for $40.
I then wanted to cancel my backordered white controller I ordered from them last week, but then I discovered how terrible their cancellation system is... No "cancel" button, you have to use the e-mail form to cancel... and then it gives you an error message. Great. Managed to send a message by NOT selecting the "cancellation" category, but I guess they'll ignore it then.
I really hope I'll be able to sort this out, don't want to pay for another controller I don't need...

Just wondering if ebgames' shipping has changed lately? I know they used to be really on time with their orders, getting stuff at your doorstep right on release date.... but Tales of Hearts is out tomorrow and I haven't gotten a ship notif.... I've been hearing stuff about how the website has been crappy lately but... any recent experience with ebgames?
I was able to take advantage of the Target sale thanks to this thread, so thanks Canada GAF. West Edmonton Mall was haggard for selection, as expected, but a drive to St Albert proved worth it. Ended up with a couple of titles for myself and a Christmas gift for one of my nieces.

Too bad they don't stock the Wii U pro controller anymore, would have used the discount code otherwise.
I ordered the latest Harvest Moon game and got it on release day. Picked the same shipping method I usually use. I actually don't think I received a shipping notification, as I can't find it in my e-mail. It's possible I just deleted it, but I don't think I would have.
Anyone have any idea why mine didn't ship until late Sunday? I would understand if I lived in a metropolitan area but I live in Fort McMurray, and my expected delivery isn't until next Monday.
Do you guys that received copies today have free shipping or did you pay for faster shipping?

All my games have been processed in local facility by Canada post last night but then they decided to screw me over and not deliver today, just because!

The West Edmonton Mall Target is always hilariously picked over, which is unfortunate as it's by far the closest one to me.
Kingsway has never seemed much better but I never thought to try St Albert.

Speaking of LBP3, Amazon sent me an email letting me know the game now qualifies for release day. Probably still won't get until the day after, but I'm not complaining. I have way too many games coming this month.
I need to start checking out Shoppers more. The one by my house doesn't have much gaming stuff. I was thinking about using a $25 gift card at The Source to buy an Xbox One. Maybe I should buy one at Shoppers instead.

There's a 8000 rewards points when you spend $200 on gift cards right now which could play into getting even more points so around $90-$100 back on a Wii U this method?
