This your first time here?
Also you should buy a lot of stuff while you are here, because our dollar is terrible now
There's tons of restaurants for all types of cuisines so I can't really tell you what you want.
As for places, the CN Tower, Lakeshore Boardwalk, Casa Loma, are good starts.
Thanks for the pointers guys. I'm staying near the garden district so a lot of things seem to be within walking distance. I've been around the downtown area, the allan gardens, st lawrence market and eaton centre. I walked past the hockey hall of fame but I didn't go in, I guess I should have!
Hard to help much without knowing what you're into, or what part of town you're in.
Hockey Hall of Fame?
this is a nice place to
start
Yes it is my first time here. I'm into anything that will keep my mind as busy as possible. I had to put some distance between me and Montreal because of something personal so I didn't really plan the trip beyond grabbing a ticket for the first bus that was leaving.
I'm definitely going to the CN tower, Casa Loma and ROM. Maybe the zoo if I have time, I certainly would like to. High Park sounds good. What about the Toronto islands, are they worth it? I'll post any other questions in the thread, I forgot it was buried in the community section, thanks for reminding me.
Are you looking to kill a lot of time? It's a nice day out so the ferry to the islands isn't the worst thing to do but once you're there you might be bored. If you happen to have little kids Centreville might be fun but a guy by himself won't really enjoy it.
One of my favourite places to squirrel away a bit of time downtown is Sugar Beach, which is on Queen's Quay east of the core near Jarvis. It's a little artificial bit of sand with a few rocks and fountains. It's a nice way to pretend you're at the beach for about 20 minutes and then you're right back in the city again, so if you're looking to read a book or something like that it's a good spot. It's walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars and such. I dunno, do you like beer? I can tell you where to get beer.
The beach sounds great, I will definitely check it out! I don't drink alcohol anymore so no beer for me haha. I'm a sucker for good food though, all kind, and Toronto seems to be filled with good places to eat at. If you've got any favorite place, make sure to tell me.
Also if you guys ever happen to visit Montreal, I'm always happy to show people around.
